Cecilia stood in front of Damian's room, hesitating for a moment. She knew her heart wouldn't settle until she spoke to him directly. Damian and the others were returning to their kingdom soon. If she missed this moment, she might not be able to talk about the same issue again in the future.
"Sigh."
Cecilia took a deep breath, then exhaled wearily. She raised her head once more. Slowly, she raised her hand to knock on the door of Damian's guest room.
"Your Majesty, it's me, Princess Cecilia."
"...Come in."
After a soft knock and permission granted from inside, Cecilia entered and found Damian sitting by the window reading something.
"Is there something you want from me?"
Damian's voice was as gentle as ever, but his eyes never left his book. Cecilia could tell he was disappointed. Although he tried to hide it, she knew his demeanor was a little different since the last party.
"I... wanted to apologize," Cecilia said honestly.
