Next Scene:
Aman came out after freshening up and walked toward the dining room when Digvijay Ji asked, "Aman, who was on the call?"
Aman replied, "Mama ji, it was Arush Bhatia—the CEO of Bhatia Group. His company has gone bankrupt, and he's looking to sell it. He wants to hand over Bhatia Enterprises to Singhania Enterprises."
Digvijay Ji raised his eyebrows. "Oh, I see!"
Aman continued, "By the way, where is Jai?"
Digvijay Ji shrugged, "In his room… doing God knows what."
"I'll go check," Aman said, heading towards Jai's room.
Inside the room, Jai was still lost in thoughts of Sanjana. Every object seemed to remind him of her. Standing outside, Aman knocked on the door. No response. He knocked again, but still no reply. Then he noticed the door slightly ajar. Pushing it open, he stepped inside and saw Jai sitting quietly, clearly lost in another world.
He walked up to him and waved a hand in front of his face. "Jai... where are you lost?"
Jai snapped out of his trance and blinked, "Oh, Aman! When did you come?"
Aman chuckled, "While you were busy staring at the furniture." Jai gave an embarrassed smile.
Noticing the change, Aman teased, "Wow! Never seen you blush before. What's going on?"
Jai hesitated, then said softly, "Aman… I think I'm in love with Sanjana."
"Sanjana? Who's that?" Aman asked, curious.
Jai told him everything that had happened earlier that morning and added, "I want to take admission in her university."
Aman was amused. "Why admission? Just go and tell her directly: 'I love you!' What's there to fear? In fact, let's just take a wedding proposal right now!"
Jai shook his head. "You don't get it. She hates rich people. I want her to love me for who I am—not my surname or wealth. I'll win her heart, and when the time is right, I'll tell her the truth. Until then, I'll study at the university—just like a regular student."
"But you already have two degrees, bro! MBA and MSc from Stanford University, the best in the world!" Aman said, half-joking, half-concerned. "If you're going to study again, who'll handle the company?"
"I'll manage both," Jai said calmly.
Just then, a voice interrupted, "What exactly will you manage?"
They turned around to see Digvijay Ji standing behind them with a questioning look.
Aman quickly stepped in, "It's a lifetime deal, Mama Ji—one that'll bring happiness to Jai and help take the company to new heights!"
Then he winked at Jai.
Digvijay Ji raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? But this deal could've been discussed at the dining table too."
Jai suddenly changed the subject, "Papa, I'm starving! Let's eat, please? It's getting late." Without waiting for a reply, he walked out. Digvijay Ji watched him go, puzzled by his behavior. He looked at Aman, who just smiled, and both headed downstairs.
Next Day:
Aman had already enrolled Jai at the university under the name Jai Singh.
As Jai walked through the college gates, he spotted Sanjana in the crowd. His heart skipped a beat. In his mind, a song began to play:
"Dil sambhal ja zara...
Phir mohabbat karne chala hai tu..."
Half an hour later, classes began.
Professor Abhay Pratap Singh entered the classroom, and all the students stood up to greet him.
Just then, a boy entered, panting. "May I coming, Sir?" he asked breathlessly.
Everyone turned to look at the handsome stranger.
It was Jai.
Sanjana recognized him instantly.
He had been so lost in his thoughts—daydreaming of Sanjana—that he hadn't realized she had already left the gate. His dream sequence had been broken only when a student collided with him and rushed away with a quick "Sorry!" Realizing the time, Jai checked his watch and panicked. Then he sprinted toward the chemistry class like a scene from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
Professor Abhay Pratap looked at him sternly.
"I don't like latecomers," he said sharply. "Since it's your first day, I'll let it go. But this is your first and last warning. Next time, you stay out. Understood?"
"Yes, sir," Jai said and walked in, settling into the last seat in the corner.
He couldn't take his eyes off Sanjana.
Unfortunately for him, Professor Abhay noticed and wasn't pleased.
"You! Stand up," he said.
Jai stood up nervously.
"Tell me," Abhay asked, "what topic am I teaching right now?"
Jai glanced at the blackboard and began explaining the topic. As he spoke, Professor Abhay's expression changed—from irritation to surprise.
The students were stunned by Jai's knowledge.
"Good," Abhay finally said, impressed.
Just as he was about to say more, the bell rang.
He left the class without another word.
After the class, Sanjana walked up to Jai.
"You're the same guy, aren't you?" she asked, her eyes narrowing with curiosity.
