Chapter 15 - Vol.1 | Ch10 - Saiyans

A/N: My admission exams start in a few days. I had these 2 chapters for a month. As I will be very busy, I decided to upload it now. The next chapter might be in February. Can't give a date. Sorry for that. And enjoy the story.

Saiyans — a warrior race with the potential to become the greatest fighters in all existence. They grow stronger from every battle, every wound, every brush with death. And when their bodies can no longer handle the strain of their own rising power, they trigger new transformations through a strange biological mechanism known as S-Cells.

S-Cells act as both stabilizers and converters. Because of their unique biology, Saiyans can accumulate strength from battles at a pace that no other race can match — but their bodies are far from perfect. While they boast "limitless potential," their physical vessels absolutely have limits. And so, most of the power a Saiyan gains is unconsciously diverted into creating and expanding these S-Cells.

When the pressure becomes overwhelming — emotional, physical, or spiritual — the stored S-Cells erupt, manifesting as a transformation.

That is why emotion has always been the catalyst for Saiyan forms. From the traditional Super Saiyan line…to the mutant variants…to hybrid evolutions…and even forms born from technique itself—

All of them exist because the Saiyan body must transform to survive its own growth.

But there exist a few Saiyan transformations that do not rely on S-Cells at all.

The Ōzaru form — and its complete, refined counterpart, the Primal Form — stand apart from every other Saiyan evolution. These are not emotional outbursts, nor are they powered by S-Cells. They are the awakening of the Saiyan's ancient power, the raw instinct and might carried from their earliest ancestry.

In truth, these forms are not fully "transformations" at all. Just as the base state itself is not considered a transformation, the Primal state is more accurately an alternate base form, a different way of existing. A Saiyan aligned with their primal power is simply accessing what they already are — stripped of limits, instincts governed instead of running wild.

And then… There are the rumored states or forms said to be tied directly to a Saiyan's true nature. But no Saiyan in all recorded history has ever managed to understand what those words spoken by the Great Sage of the Saiyans truly meant.

In short, Saiyans are unlike any other species. Where most races possess a single base state and, at most, a handful of transformations…Saiyans have many base states — each stronger than the last — and an almost limitless number of transformations branching from them.

A race built not just to grow… but to evolve without end. No matter which path to power one chooses.

The idea wasn't new to Jin. It had lived in the back of his mind for years — a quiet, stubborn truth humming beneath every battle. But knowing something and proving it were worlds apart.

And from the brief moment Jin had with Zalama, he knew. Zalama never taught with explanations, only with actions. And he had seen the action. Which was something that Jin wasn't expecting at all.

Suddenly, a thunderous pulse shook the void.

Jin hit the ground hard, the air leaving his lungs in a ragged gasp. His body trembled — not from injury, but from total depletion.
