No Close Friends
Claire packed her bag before going home. Vienna and Tasya waited outside the classroom. They looked at each other. Claire tried not to pay much attention to them.
"What happened Claire? You do not wanna do anything with us. You are changed a lot. Especially to Diana. Why are you different now." Vienna pulls Claire's bag before she leaves the classroom.
"Guys, sorry I think I've changed. I was not the Claire I used to be. For a while, I think about the future as well. You know that I am among the top 3 students in the class. If I could not keep my attitude, I probably would not be in the top 3 of the rankings. And I just want to be better. I do it for myself, my brother, and of course my mom. Please understand". Claire tried to explain with an acceptable situation for Vienna and Tasya.
"Hah' because you're top 3 students. It's not like you have ever told me that you are good at manipulating situations. Well, in front of your teacher, you are being very nice student. But it's not that you don't want to be defeated either. You are very ambitious. Also, about love, you always catch if you want to. Do you remember Jason? Do I need to remind you about him".

Claire went home sadly. His energy was out of facing Tasya and Vienna.
"You didn't eat first, Claire". Her mom suddenly appeared in front of her room.
"No, mom, I want to study first". Claire was still looking at her History book.
"Okay, but don't forget to eat".
"Yes, mom."
It's been two days, Claire hasn't felt well. But she continued to try to go to school due to her math exam. Her mother started giving her medicine, so that Claire would feel better.
The exam is running smoothly. But because Claire's stomach pain could not be endured, she ran and gave permission to the teacher to go to the health care room section. Claire remembers the incident in the past, did she have a stomach ache? As far as I remember, she started to have stomach pain after graduating from school, which is not sustainable as it is now. Wait a minute, so my destiny changed. Hum. Claire was lying in on the bed after taking medicine. Until during breaktime, Claire heard a conversation behind the window of the bedroom.
"Are you sures she has changed?"
Claire recognized the voice. Hah. Diana?
"Already, she doesn't want me to bully you anymore".
This is Tasya. Claire said to herself.
"Well, I can't ask for Miko's attention then" Diana snorted angrily leaning against the window.
What!. So, from all this time, Tasya played behind her back and even bullied Diana on purpose. And it turns out that they are cooperating each other. Claire still could not believe what she was hearing. But it's like a flashback to the old school days. She only realized that there were no problems when she was close to Tasya and Vienna. It began by starting late to school and provoked her to bully others. Claire sat quietly. Previously, she wanted to sleep, but she could not sleep.
Finally, Claire went to the homeroom section and was allowed to go home quickly.
"Hi Claire. "Did you say you were sick?" Miko appears at the school gate and surprises Claire.
"Yes Miko".
"Do you want me to take you home? Today I don't have a class. Mr. James has a meeting in the headmaster's room."
"It's okay Miko. I have ordered it online."
"Okay, Be careful." Miko looked at Claire from a distance.
Miko, it turns out that all this time Diana really likes you. I don't know if my feelings started to change. I used to chase you but not now. The taxi stopped in front of Claire's house. It can be seen that her mother is waiting in front of the house.
"Mom, you didn't go to the office today". Claire said hurriedly walk to her mom in terrace.
"No, dear. I took a leave immediately when I knew you were sick". Said her mother opening the door for Claire.
"I'm sorry, mom". Claire spoke quietly.
"Don't say that, you're my little girl. Brian has been at home too. There was an event at his school he did want to participate so he could go home early".
"Oh, We are here together then" Claire hugged her mom shoulder.
"Yes, let's take a break first".
"Thank you mom". Claire went to the room and locked the door.
Claire woke up at 4 p.m. She yawned for a while. She picked up her cell phone and saw a chat from Miko asking how she was that day. The sound of a knocking the door made Claire get out of bed. She opened the door and it turned out to be her mom.
"Are you okay?". Her mom entered Claire's room.
"Yes I'm fine". Claire tried to sit properly on the bed.
"Oh thank God. By the way, mommy wants to go to an office anniversary event at the restaurant. There are many of my friends there too. Maybe, I will be
home at night."
"Can I join mom?" Claire holds her mom's hands
"Would you like to come? Seriously? You are not the type of person who likes going out for office event Claire. You always wanted to go with Tasya and Vienna at night. Anyway, I did not see you guys hangout again "
"It's not anymore, it's a long story mom".
"Let's go, if you want to go. There will be also the children of my friends' as well. Who knew you might have a friend Claire."
Claire shook her head. Claire wants to do something she's never done before so therefore her destiny could be changed.
The atmosphere of the party was so lively at a famous restaurant in the centre of City. Claire had a chance to look around at the event. Remarks from the MC and the owner of the Company began. The hustle and bustle of people are enjoying the event that night.
Claire felt dizzy, so she asked her mother permission to go out to the toilet.
Claire is a bit confused about the toilet. Wait, this is men's toilet? She immediately ran out and suddenly bumped into a tall man wearing a shirt and jeans.
"Opps sorry. I went to the wrong toilet." Claire quickly ran out without seeing the person's face.
"Claire, is that you?" The man called Claire
Claire turned around and saw the boy with black leather jacket and jeans was looking at her.
"I'm sorry, do you know me?". Claire tried to remember the handsome man in front of her.
"Oh, you forgot about me. How sad I am".
"Have you really met me?" Claire convinced herself once again.
The man took his phone and sent a text message to Claire.
"Check your DM Claire, I send message to your insta. We have been friends in social media"
Claire checked her phone. She saw a message. Claire recalled when she was 11th Grade. This is Randy. Oh my god, how could I forget? Well, I remember now. Randy won the national mathematics competition. Then, I used to be his opponent. We have become friends since that day. We are also being friends in social media. Jason knew him as well. I was with Jason at that time
"Randy, sorry before I didn't know you".
"How dare you, you event didn't reply my message long time ago."
"Sorry Rand, I just realized it. You know right, I have been busy for my school."
"So anyway, why are you here Claire?"
"Oh yeah, I just followed my mom. She has office celebration for her office anniversary".
"Oh really? Who is your mom?
"She is Mrs Cheryl"
"Mrs Cheryl? Okay." Rand smiled

"Maybe?" Randy smiled.
"By the way, I have to Rand. My mom is waiting for me".
"See you then."
Claire, you just didn't have time to ask why I'm here. Rand muttered to himself.
Thirty minutes later the event was over. Claire began to walk away.
"Claire wait a minute. "I would like to say goodbye to Mr. Smith."
"Okay."
"Why is it okay, yes you come with me too, Claire".
"Me too?"
"Yes, I want you to introduce me to your boss. He also brought his son here".
"Okay."
Her mom walked to the exit room and greeted a man who is wearing a black suit.
"Hi Mrs. Cheryl." Mr smith greeted prouly
"Yes sir," My mom pulled my arm and ask to meet her boss.
There was a young boy standing next to Mr Smith. He turned around his head to me and smiled. Hah Randy?
"Oh yes Mrs. Cheryl, this is my son Randy".
"Oh, Randy, nice to meet you."
"Randy, are you Mr. Smith's son?" Claire asked him curiously
" Do you know him Claire?" Her mom was questioning her.
"We knew from school competition mom."
"Yes absolutely and Claire is very nice to me".
Instantly Randy and his father gave each other a meaningful smile.
"Good then. Perhaps, we can have dinner together next time."
"Oh Okay" Claire takes a breath slowly
"Oh yes, . Thank you, Mr Smith". Her mom shook hands with Mr Smith.
Mrs Cheryl started talking about Randy, Mr. Smith's son in the car. So, Randy has often been to his father's office and already knows Claire's mother. Wait. This didn't happen in my previous destiny. Is this a good or bad sign? I don't know. Claire sigh. She still keeps thinking about that. While her mom was talking about Randy a lot. She just nodded her head. At 11 pm, they have arrived at home. Bryan was sleeping on the couch. He left the television on. Her mom carried Bryan to his bedroom. Claire went back to her room. She washed her face and sit for a while. Then, she laid down on the bed. She took her phone and saw some pictures of Randy on insta. This boy looked handsome, but She thought he hid something secret about his life. In 2020, first time they met, she did not know much about Randy. There was nothing bad she knew about him. But since she went back to her life again after suffering from death, Claire felt that everyone around her must be suspicious.
