Chapter 1 - The Framed imperial Princess

Year 556 on the Imperial Calendar

The executioner cleared his throat, and shouts "PRINCESS ALICIA PRISCILLA ESHIL HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF MURDERING THE FORMER EMPRESS, AND IS HEREBY SENTENCED TO DEATH IN THE NAME OF HIS MAJESTY, EMPEROR LEON DENNIS ESIL II"

As I'm walked over to the guillotine, in complete rags, I hear audible gasps from the audience. People are saying "I can't believe the ten year old princess is a murderer..."

Ever since I was born, I was scorned by the public for my "demonic" appearance. I have hair as black as the night, and eyes as red as blood. Everyone hated me, except for my mother. Until three months ago, I at least had her...

I was called to a family dinner, which had never happened. We all sat down, my mother took one bite of her food, and collapsed. She had been poisoned and everyone believed I had done it, because I was in shock. I loved my mother, and when she collapsed, I stared off into space. I didn't know what to do...

My head is lined up at the guillotine, and the executioner was getting ready to drop the blade, until a heavy, black fog enveloped the platform. I heard a deep, raspy voice growing ever closer, it said "I can't believe they did this to a ten year old child..."

"You're okay now..." he said, as I felt the ropes tying up my hands loosen, and drop to the floor. He picked me up, and sprinted away. "W-who are you?" I asked, frighted at this buff man before me. He had brown, short and messy hair with a gruff beard. He was wearing a damaged tank top, and basic pants, with a pristine looking sword at his hip.

"I'm your uncle, kid." he says, and I am shocked. I never knew my mother has a brother... "but... why would you save me? I mean everyone thinks I killed your sister..." I say meekly. He lets out a big laugh and says "I don't believe that nonsense kiddo!"

I finally noticed we were outside of the capital, and in some sort of forest. He's sprinting through the forest, with me still in his arm.

"Hey kid, how would you like to master the sword? You see, my name is Damien Morrow." he says, with a slight smirk on his face. My face must have shown how shocked I was, because he lets out a light chuckle. Everyone knows that name, it's the name of one of the seven swordsmasters on the continent!

The next few words I uttered changed my life forever.

"Please teach me the sword."
