Chapter 4 - Synopsis

Li Wan'er, the beloved yet sickly daughter of the Grand Chancellor, has never stepped out beyond the high walls of her manor. Coddled like a fragile porcelain doll, her health has always teetered on the brink of death. On her 16th birthday, her final breath seemed inevitable—until a wandering Taoist performed a mysterious ritual to save her soul.

But the girl who opened her eyes was no longer Li Wan'er.

She is Princess Yongping, a sharp-tongued, sharp-minded royal who had just died under suspicious circumstances. Her soul, flung across fate and flesh, finds herself trapped in the body of this weak, powerless noble girl.

Now, forced to live a second life in a body not her own, she must:

Pretend to be the meek and fragile Wan'er

Avoid suspicion from those who might exorcise her for "spiritual possession"

And stay far, far away from the palace schemes she once escaped from...

Too bad the imperial princes keep dragging her back in.

Worse, the only man who could protect her has a scandalous reputation as someone who "likes men and avoids women"—and yet, she clings to him like a lifeline.

All she ever wanted was a quiet life...

The heavens reply

with: "Keep dreaming."
