The meeting continued on for hours as Logan made plans against the pressure from the Alvarez family and Holy Cross Guild.
At first, they were all shocked by Logan's switch and the contract he'd managed to get from the Imperial Church. But as he continued talking, respect began to grow in everyone's hearts.
What mattered even more was that he listened quietly to their suggestions—and actually took them seriously.
After the meeting ended, Logan bid everyone goodbye and returned to his room with Silas by his side.
''I would say that went quite well,'' Logan said, a broad smile on his face.
Silas nodded. ''But are you really sure about attacking the Alvarez family first?'' he asked, observing Logan carefully.
''Yes,'' Logan said, unlocking the door to his room. ''We won't let them comfortably sit there and process all the Holy Cross Guild's resources.''
Locking eyes with Silas, he continued.
