Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Uchiha Han!

Shigure deeply admired this person.

In other words, Shigure admired people like Might Dai, Might Guy, and even Rock Lee.

He himself was now nearly in that same category.

Inside the ninja tools shop, a loud explosion rang out, and the ground seemed to tremble.

"I'm terribly sorry."

Seeing the shop owner struggling to lift several heavy training props and throwing them to the ground, Might Duy gave a sheepish smile.

"Honestly..."

The shopkeeper looked at Might Duy with slight impatience and said, "Just take it, take it!"

As Might Duy turned to leave, the shopkeeper muttered, "What good is it to only know Taijutsu? You'll be a Genin for the rest of your life."

When Might Duy heard this, his body paused slightly, but he didn't look back. He picked up the heavy weights he had purchased and walked away.

A dog looks down on a man.

Watching this scene, that phrase suddenly came to Shigure's mind.

He knew just how terrifying Might Dai's true power was — the eternal Genin.

Still, Might Guy was just like in the original story, with a very kind temperament. He could endure mockery and simply walk away.

Shaking his head, Shigure stepped into the shop.

"Give me two of those weights... just two will be enough."

"You want weights like those too?"

The owner looked at Shigure in mild surprise. He hadn't expected a child his age to be so interested in physical training. He quickly brought out two sets.

They looked like two unremarkable pieces of iron, but they were very heavy in hand.

"These are heavier than I thought. I probably won't be able to use them for a while."

Shigure suddenly felt a bit helpless.

But he bought them anyway.

Turning and walking out of the store, Shigure's eyes flickered slightly as he searched for Might Duy's departing figure.

He found him immediately — he stood out clearly.

Following Might Duy into a secluded forest, Shigure saw him putting on the heavy weights and beginning his insane training routine.

Even Shigure couldn't help but feel amazed at such training.

As expected of the man who, in the original story, could open the Eighth Gate of the Eight Gates Technique and kill four of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.

If that ninja tools shop owner knew how freakishly powerful Genin Might Duy really was, Shigure wondered if the man's jaw would drop in disbelief.

Watching Might Duy's training, Shigure gradually realized that his own training method was far more crude compared to Duy's.

What a revelation.

Without hesitation, Shigure wrote down Might Duy's entire training process.

Even though Might Duy was just a Genin, Shigure was sure that no one in all of Konoha could surpass him in physical ability.

Naturally, there was no harm in learning from him.

After discovering Might Duy's training spot, Shigure would sneak over to watch him every time he took a break from his own training.

After all, he didn't have the Byakugan or Sharingan, so if he wanted to learn secretly, he could only memorize things carefully, bit by bit.

After nearly a month of learning from Might Duy, Shigure had made great progress in his physical skills.

Both his strength and speed were nearly at the level of an official Genin.

During this period, Shigure finally managed to wear both weights.

His shockwave power had also grown rapidly.

In an open field.

Shigure clenched his fist, and a faint white glow appeared. Then he punched a wooden post in front of him with great force.

Crack!!!

A spiderweb of cracks spread in the air, like a shattered mirror.

Shigure's punch hadn't directly touched the post — it was still a foot away — but the post cracked from the force and suddenly shattered.

"My shockwave power has improved greatly," Shigure said, a hint of excitement on his face.

If it had been that C-rank Fireball Jutsu used by Uchiha Izumi before, Shigure believed he could now destroy it with a single punch, without leaving any flames behind!

However, during this past month, Shigure had never once seen Might Guy practice the Eight Gates, which left him slightly disappointed.

What he truly wanted to understand now was the power of the Eight Gates.

"Let's see if Might Guy has trained with the Eight Gates."

After thinking for a moment, Shigure turned and walked toward a familiar path.

But before he could reach it, a young man wearing a forehead protector and a ninja uniform walked toward him.

He was a Chunin.

Konoha's Genin wore forehead protectors, while Chunins had a special uniform. Jonin's uniform was slightly different, usually with more pouches.

This made it easy to judge a ninja's level and identify which village they were from.

Unless someone was stronger than an average Jonin and had a well-known reputation in the ninja world, they wouldn't need to wear any specific uniform and would dress however they liked.

Because such people no longer needed their clothing to identify them.

When this Chunin saw Shigure, he made no effort to hide the cold arrogance on his face as he walked straight toward him.

"What's the matter?"

Shigure asked calmly as he faced the Chunin.

Even though he could tell at a glance that this person was here to cause trouble, Shigure didn't show a hint of fear.

Nor did he act arrogant or self-deprecating.

After all, they were in the middle of Konoha Village, right on a public street — no one would dare act recklessly.

However, to Shigure's surprise, the Chunin before him actually made his move.

"You're that kid from another village that got destroyed and just happened to survive by joining Konoha, right? I think your name is Shigure?"

The Chunin spoke with a condescending and arrogant tone from the very beginning.

It was obvious he was here to cause trouble, and as a Chunin, he couldn't simply be dismissed. But Shigure's expression only grew calmer.

At the same time, Shigure's mind raced.

He wasn't exactly popular in Konoha, but he hadn't offended anyone either.

And yet…

Suddenly, Shigure remembered the time he defeated Uchiha Izumi at the Ninja Academy over a month ago.

Back then, Uchiha Izumi had tried to kill him, even using a Great Fireball Jutsu. Of course, Shigure hadn't held back, and when he finally defeated Uchiha Izumi, he had broken many of the boy's bones.

Uchiha Izumi had been bedridden for at least a month.

In that case, the person in front of him must be from the Uchiha clan — no doubt about it.

"What's your relation to Uchiha Izumi?"

Shigure didn't answer the question. Instead, he asked one of his own.

A flicker of surprise flashed in the ninja's eyes — he clearly hadn't expected Shigure to figure it out so quickly.

"My name is Uchiha Han. I'm Uchiha Izumi's brother. Since you've guessed it already... break one of your arms."

Uchiha Han's tone was calm — as if he were stating something ordinary.

Hearing this, Shigure was slightly stunned.

So this is the Uchiha clan?

How arrogant!
