With Drake's shout, Brain's magic was shattered. Brain realized Drake had shattered Eternal Darkness Rhapsody just by releasing magic, not using a spell.

Meanwhile, Midnight awakened and defeated Blue Pegasus.
Midnight's distortion magic easily defeated Ivan's snow magic and Ren's air magic.
Hibiki's magic was support; Ichiya's fragrant magic was useless. Blue Pegasus was defeated.
Luckily, Erza arrived, preventing Midnight from killing them.
Initially, Erza's armor was manipulated by Midnight.
But Erza's Requip magic's strength was adapting to different opponents.
Erza noticed Midnight's magic's weakness.
Midnight's illusion magic failed because Erza had a prosthetic eye; she cut Midnight down.

"Stop! Okay, I'll talk! We need to escape; Zero… he's waking up!"
As it spoke, Brain stood up; the black markings were gone.
