Eva was slightly tipsy after all the drinks.
In order to avoid getting further drunk, she decided to step outside under the excuse of washroom break. The refreshing outside air brought satisfaction to her chest.
Her attention then was caught by the 'tweet' of a small sparrow. On closer observation, she realized the tiny creature received an injury on its wing, unable to flap them.
Eva carefully picked the Sparrow on her palm. A soft smile played on face as she gently said, "Little Birdie, did you hurt your wings? There, there, it's alright. It will be all fine."
"First, a cat, and now, a bird— are you planning to open a rescue center at this point?"
Eva was caught off guard by the sudden voice behind her. When she turned her head, she found Ethan stepping out of the restaurant. Behind him was his assistant standing.
He waved his hand to dismiss his assistant before he made his way over to Eva.
