And the Ohts Kingdom soldiers were incredibly fierce. Every one of them was a devout follower of the Word of God religion, viewing their Pontiff as God's representative, fighting for their deity.
Upon seeing Elliot enter their field of vision, they immediately charged towards him.
This time, Elliot didn't hesitate much either. After all, they were the ones who came looking for trouble with him.
With a slight raise of his hand, countless vines erupted from the ground, binding the Ohts Kingdom soldiers.
Although Elliot couldn't freely use his full divine power within this System, controlling some plants was still no problem.
Once the soldiers were entangled by the vines, Elliot gently clenched his right fist.
Tens of thousands of sharp rock spikes shot up from beneath the earth, impaling all the Ohts Kingdom soldiers, turning them into pincushions.
This battle was destined to be a one-sided slaughter!
[Butcher] Leveled Up from LV 2 to LV 4!
Elliot sighed. He really hadn't intended to level up this title skill!
The battlefield was already stained crimson with blood. Severed limbs and chunks of flesh were scattered everywhere. The armies of Sariella and Ohts were locked in a brutal, chaotic struggle.
"Space Magic really is convenient!" Elliot couldn't help but remark, finding himself accidentally caught in the middle of the battlefield. Because he hadn't learned Space Magic, he couldn't just teleport away.
True, if he transformed into his dragon form, his speed would be incredible probably faster than even Kumoko using Space Magic.
But in dragon form, his wingspan was nearly a hundred meters, as large as a passenger jet, making him an extremely conspicuous target.
Space Magic, on the other hand, was stealthy. That's why both Gyurie and Kumoko (later on) relied heavily on it.
It couldn't be helped. Elliot hadn't prioritized learning space abilities early on, and now that he could fly, he was even less inclined to learn it.
Teleporting was cool, sure, but the skill point cost was astronomical. Better to save those points.
Elliot picked a direction and began to sprint. His actions were highly unusual on the battlefield, but still, not many people noticed him.
Everyone's attention was focused on the enemy, not on Elliot.
Forget an oddly behaving man; even if a naked, stunning beauty suddenly appeared on the battlefield, the soldiers wouldn't be too distracted.
This was a battlefield! A place where you could die at any moment!
Most people on the battlefield were fighting for their lives. Of course, some did turn their attacks towards Elliot.
These soldiers were physically strong; they could also level up through the System and had skill points.
Many had learned warrior skills, making their base stats much stronger than ordinary people. Mages could deal huge damage on the battlefield, but if they were only half-baked, their survivability was far worse than a tanky warrior.
A mage might get their throat slit before they could even cast a spell. Some warriors even had HP stats exceeding a thousand; they wouldn't die even if stabbed through.
BOOM! Elliot activated his Jade Shield, blasting away the humans who got too close.
Honestly, even if he just stood there and let them hit him now, he'd be fine.
His powerful base regeneration, coupled with forty thousand HP and terrifying defenses, meant anyone attacking him would just be chipping away uselessly.
But the Jade Shield wasn't a mana-intensive skill anyway. If he had a shield to protect him, why would he take hits?
And his Jade Shield was now LV 10; the sheer amount of damage it could absorb would make any human's scalp tingle.
Elliot opened his skill list and, on the spot, learned two new skills: [Jade Screen] and [Starshatter].
[Tendo Bansho] was strong, yes. But unleashing such a wide-area skill would not only instantly change the battlefield's dynamics but also draw concentrated fire from both armies.
Plus, some people from Flamebright City in the Sariella army had already witnessed [Tendo Bansho]. He decided against using his ultimate for now.
[Jade Screen]: Deploys to form a barrier, absorbing ranged skills and projectiles, similar to Yasuo's Wind Wall.
It has a maximum damage threshold and is a Geo construct. Easier to dodge a direct spear than a hidden arrow.
On a battlefield with arrows and magic flying everywhere, you never knew where an attack might come from. Besides, deploying the Jade Screen also dealt some damage.
As for [Starshatter], it was an AoE skill that could condense Geo gems from the earth and then scatter them, causing significant Geo damage. He learned this skill because it had an auto-targeting ability.
Elliot only learned [Jade Screen] to Level 1. The screen's HP scaled with his own maximum health, so Level 1 was sufficient. But he maxed out [Starshatter] immediately.
A large number of Starshatter gems scattered, whistling through the air. These gems automatically tracked enemies, specifically targeting their heads, and then exploded on impact.
"You have killed a Human Warrior. With [Butcher] title EXP bonus, gained 4396 EXP..."
"You have killed a Human Warrior. With [Butcher] title EXP bonus, gained 4783 EXP..."
Experience notifications kept chiming.
However, more and more soldiers noticed his presence and charged at him with swords and blades. On
the battlefield, due to the surge of adrenaline, many had lost all fear. Influenced by religious fervor, their conviction was incredibly strong.
Even knowing Elliot was unbeatable, some still rushed towards him. The plains were a chaotic mess of fighting soldiers.
At least a thousand were now charging directly at Elliot.
Any normal person seeing this would definitely have their legs turn to jelly. But Elliot remained unfazed.
Their attacks were just like a drizzle to him; no matter how many came, they were just delivering themselves to their deaths.
And he happened to be in an area littered with rocks a battlefield practically made for him.
When the numerous humans had completely surrounded him, and even the number of Starshatter gems wasn't enough to deal with them, Elliot instantly detonated all the rocks in the vicinity.
BOOM!!
BOOM!!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM...
Violent explosions echoed ceaselessly. Anyone who didn't know better might think this was a modern war.
A large area around Elliot instantly became a sea of fire! Countless humans were blasted into the sky, torn to pieces.
The system notifications could barely keep up with the pace of his slaughter. Interspersed with them were level-up chimes. In just a few breaths, he had killed thousands of humans and leveled up seven or eight times.
At the same time, his [Butcher] title naturally reached LV 9, significantly increasing the EXP gained from killing humans. Only one more level until the title skill was maxed.
Around him, corpses piled up, flesh forming mountains! The air was thick with the heavy stench of blood. As far as the eye could see, it was a veritable hell on earth!
Elliot let out a heavy breath, continuing to repel the human armies attacking him while heading towards Flamebright City.
Most of those coming at him now were Sariella Kingdom soldiers. They didn't have as many numbers as the Ohts Kingdom, but the moment they saw Elliot, they attacked him first.
At this point, Elliot didn't care which country they belonged to.
[Starshatter] activated! Dozens of Geo gems transformed into flowing stars, streaking across the sky in beautiful arcs, then smashing into the humans. Notifications chimed continuously.
Soon, his [Butcher] skill reached its maximum level. Now, the EXP he gained from killing humans far surpassed that from any other monster!
But... as he continued to eliminate humans, several pairs of eyes in the distance were watching him...
"Pontiff, that man hasn't left. He's heading towards the Sariella Kingdom," the King of the Ohts Kingdom reported grimly to a kind and benevolent-looking old man before him.
As the ruler of a nation, he was naturally the one who initiated this war. However, the true instigator wasn't him, but this Pontiff in white mage robes!
This old man was none other than one of this world's human giants, Pontiff Dustin!
The Pontiff had the authority to depose kings. So, even the King of Ohts was merely one of the Pontiff's pawns.
"None of our men can stop him. However, he doesn't seem to belong to either side. He first slaughtered nearly four thousand of our soldiers, and then he started fighting with the Sariella Kingdom's soldiers!" Faced with this unexpected development...
