Jiang Tian was currently pacing around his room.
He can't figure out what he should do to stop Sheng Wang from leaving the city.
Flashback
"Jiang Tian, wait."
Jiang Tian stopped in his tracks due to the call.
"Zichen? I was just searching for you. Do you know where Sheng Wang is?", Jiang Tian asked.
"That is why I called you. He asked me to not tell you. But I thought you should know this. He will be leaving the city this evening.", Zichen informed.
Jiang Tian was shocked, "What do you mean leave the city? We have our graduation after just 1 week. How can he leave right now?"
"You tell me.....You asked him to help you date someone else. And you even had the audacity to kiss him. Not only that, you scored a date with Su Mei and told him about it.....he was devastated, Jiang Tian. He has loved you for so many years he couldn't handle you, walking away with someone else. Jiang Tian I know you don't love him but stop hurting him like this.", Zichen finished.
Jiang Tian was forced to kneel down with all the burden of acquisitions, "I....didn't mean to. I just-I", he murmured.
"Forget it Jiang Tian. I don't know why but my heart wanted to inform you and I did. You can just go and have a date with your Su Mei.", with that Zichen left the place.
Present
Jiang Tian was still pacing around the room.
"Stop running around the room. You're making me dizzy.", a young woman spoke.
"Shut up Su Mei. I can't think of what should I do to stop him.", Jiang Tian said.
"Well, how about go to the airport and tell him the truth?", Su Mei said.
And that hit Jiang Tian, "Oh my god. Why didn't I think of that earlier? You are a genius."
"I'm not a genius. It is common sense which you clearly lost because of him.", Su Mei shot back.
Jiang Tian hugged Su Mei for the idea.
"I love you", Jiang Tian said.
"Eww. Move...I'm literally your cousin. Can you not disgust the shit out of me? Say these words to him, not me you dumbass.", Su Mei pushed Jiang Tian.
Jiang Tian thanked Su Mei and left his home.
He took a cab to the airport. Jiang Tian was urging the driver to go as fast as possible while continuously checking the time.
Sheng Wang's flight was at 7pm. Jiang Tiang checked his watch, it was 6:45 right now. All he hopes is that he could reach before the flight takes off.
After he paid for the cab he ran towards the reception.
"Hello. Can you please let me know if the flight that was going to depart to Shanghai at 7pm took off?", Jiang Tian asked, huffing from all the running.
"Sorry sir. The flight just took off.", the receptionist informed.
Jiang Tian's legs gave up. And he felt the world gave up on him too. His Sheng Wang was gone. The person he loved for more than 8 years, has gone. Left him, all because of his dumb decisions.
It was raining outside. But he didn't care anymore. He walked out of the airport with defeated steps, shoulders dropped, his body drenched. Anyone who passed by him could tell he was heartbroken.
As he was walking absentminded, he didn't notice the man sitting on the pavement, head dropped on his knees, probably crying. Jiang Tian came out of his stance when he bumped into the man.
"I'm sorry I didn't no...Sheng Wang?What are you doing here? Didn't you have a flight at 7pm?", Jiang Tian asked, when the man looked up, a part of him surprised, a part of him happy.
Sheng Wang tried to speak between his tears, "I couldn't bring myself to leave. I tried. I swear I did. I love you so much that I couldn't handle watching you with someone else. I am a coward. I tried to leave and mow I feel so pathe...mphh...", Jiang Tian cut him off by pulling him into a kiss.
Everything around them seemed to stop. Their kiss was so heartwarming, passionate, it made Sheng Wang's body melt. But then realization struck him. He managed to pick his arm up to slightly push Jiang Tian.
"What are you doing here? Didn't you have a date with Su Mei?", Sheng Wang asked.
Jiang Tian placed a soft kiss on Sheng Wang's forehead, "There is no date, there never was. Su Mei....is just my cousin."
In a moment a lot of emotions flashed in Sheng Wang's face. Happy, shocked, betrayal and what not.
Jiang Tian didn't let him speak. He held Sheng Wang's arms so that he can not escape anymore and spoke, "Let me explain first and then you can decide what you want to do."
Sheng Wang sighed but didn't utter a word. He let Jiang Tian continue.
"You probably don't even remember....During our high school days, once you were talking to your friends where you said...you said that you wanted to be the first one to confess when in love.", Jiang Tian said.
"...."
"That day I promised myself I'll do everything to make you confess to me because I knew you had feelings for me...You remember I was beaten up one day?...Actually....umm....I asked my friends to help me..."
"Are you crazy?You know how scared I was?
Jiang Tian chuckled, "I was indeed crazy for you. I just wanted to fulfil the promise I made to myself so bad that I ended up making stupid decisions....like the idea of making you help me, or the idea of telling you I have a date with Su Mei, to make you jealous enough so that you confess."
"Does your cousin know about this?"
"She knows now. I just used her name before without even asking her. I told her everything today. And she is the one who suggested me to say the truth."
"Atleast you have one person in your family that has common sense."
Jiang Tian let out a soft chuckle again, "I loved you for so long Sheng Wang. Probably even more than you. You never noticed but I always looked at you during our lectures. I always found a way to bump into you. I even applied to the same college just to have you clo....."
This time it was Sheng Wang's turn to make Jiang Tian speechless by placing a kiss on Jiang Tian's lips.
As he parted he spoke, "And I always thought I was the one who fell first, who looked at you first, who wanted you first, who loved you first."
"It doesn't matter who loved first. What matters is that we both love each other. Only if I didn't make those dumb decisions, maybe we could be together way before.", Jiang Tian regretted.
"That's true.", Sheng Wang joked.
"But at the same time it proved how much we loved each other. You decided to keep that promise just because of some mere words from me while I decided to let you go because I thought you didn't love me.", Sheng Wang continued.
"We both held onto our love", Jiang Tian spoke, gently wiping the tears on Sheng Wang's face.
They sat there for a while. Although the rain stopped a long time ago, they stayed, Sheng Wang's head leaned against Jiang Tian's shoulder. Just like how Jiang Tian held onto Sheng Wang's love, he continued to hold him until....
"Can we go home?I'm freezing.....All because of you", Sheng Wang spoke as he launched his fists softly on Jiang Tian's chest.
"Ow ow. Okayyy we will leave. Stop hitting.", Jiang Tian grabbed Sheng Wang's hands.
He moved towards Sheng Wang's ears and whispered, "We can go home and find some activities to make ourselves warm.", Jiang Tian placed a kiss on his earlobe.
Sheng Wang blushed and punched Jiang Tian again, "You're shameless....Let us go home first I'm already shiveringgg", Sheng Wang cried.
And with that they left for home. Their home....
