"What a beautiful baby!" the midwife exclaimed, wrapping a blanket around the newborn.
"Exactly like his mother!" the father shouted proudly, with a huge smile.
"Here, miss, why don't you hold your baby."
The mother took hold of her baby, embracing him in her loving arms.
"I shall name you Thorn," Anna happily announced.
"Thorn, what a beautiful name," the midwife exclaimed.
"Can I hold my son now?" Bram hurriedly asked, and took him out of his mother's arms. "I'm sure he will grow to be a powerful swordsman," Bram exclaimed.
"No, that is too dangerous!" Anna remarked.
Bram looked away without saying anything back and silently gave the baby back to Anna.
"Ok, it's time for the baby to get some rest," the midwife cut the silent atmosphere and took the baby and placed him on the cradle.
During all these events, Thorn didn't let out a sound, and unexpectedly that didn't catch the attention of the family.
So is this my new family? They don't seem bad; they seem caring, unlike my previous one.
1 month had passed.
Who could have known I could have such a good life. Every day, instead of being tortured, sitting in a dark cage, not getting fed, and wallowing in misery, the exact opposite is happening.
My father and mother are loving and kind, unlike my previous ones. I have two big brothers who take care of me. One is named Jasper, a 4-year-old, and the other is named Edward, an 8-year-old.
Over the past month, I wondered what to do in this life, or if maybe I should just end it.
But after a long period of consideration, I have finally decided.
Firstly, because this is a magical world, maybe somehow, I can revive my brother.
Secondly, I like this family I'm in now. I experience warmth and kindness I never did before, so I have decided to protect them, something I wasn't able to achieve in my past life.
Lastly, I have decided I want to be omnipotent in this world; I want to have the power of a god.
Why? Obviously, to protect my family and, more importantly, to resurrect my brother and grant both of them a life they could have never dreamed of, especially for my brother James.
Also, my life has been nothing but a life of hardships! Suffering! And despair! The worst life one could ever live.
So I want to have power! To crush everyone who opposes me, create despair in anyone who hurts me, and most importantly, to do things that I never could before.
I want to enjoy life and do whatever I want. I want to be the villain now; I don't want to be the victim, but for that, I need power, and a lot of it, and I'll do anything to achieve it, no matter the price others have to pay.
So for that reason, I want power!
But there's only one small problem, how do I get that power?
Well, I know from the god's explanation that there are many combat professions I can choose from, but obviously it's not relevant for me now, as I am a baby. I have to grow up and ask my parents later, once I'm able to speak, of course.
Another problem is language; I can understand some common phrases, but that's it. I'll have to pay close attention to my family when they're speaking to figure out how to communicate.
Anyway, why don't I check the powers god gave me for now? I remember I need to think of a system, and it will magically appear like in video games.
Though I never really had much of a chance to play them, I mostly only remember my brother talking about them to me; he always really loved to share what was going on with his life with me.

Well, my talents are pretty good, but the talent "affinity with all elements" requires incredible hard work. I can't imagine how I will be able to master the magic of so many elements; the time and resources that this will take me will be monumental.
The manipulation talent does help though, like the god said, potential is my gift!
My favorite part about my profile is my trait "harmonious constitution." Wow, I can already imagine myself being a magic swordsman, maybe even a magic swordsman beast tamer, and more. Seriously, like god said, my gift is potential; it's almost otherworldly.
My ability is very useful and convenient. I can carry things of immense size and weight and summon them anywhere I want. For example, I can summon my weapon and surprise my opponent—very useful. I can also steal valuable stuff, and no one will notice!
Overall, I'm overjoyed with my profile, and the hard work is nothing to me compared to what I endured in my previous life, no doubt about it.
I can already imagine it, my strength! And hopefully a way to resurrect my dead brother.
Anyway, what do I do now? It's not like there's some magical way to improve my strength, I guess the only thing I can occupy my time with is focusing on learning the local tongue.
