Luka was genuinely at a loss, perhaps he did need to read more books. How could that possibly be the plot to a romance novel? "Does a noble Lord then come to save her from the camp?"
Cielo made an exaggerated face of disapproval, it scrunched up his delicate features, it was endearing.
"Maybe for those who prefer staple, boring love stories where the good and noble Prince always wins." He dismissively waved a hand.
"In the story, the noble lady actually pretends to be a commoner in a bid to protect herself, and the camp does take her in, promising her safety and a guaranteed return with them as long as she cooks and cleans up the camp as payment." Cielo plunged back into the story.
Luka was practically sitting at the edge of his seat, leaned forward in interest. The story was a lot more convoluted than he had been expecting at the start of it.
"And being born a noble lady, she's a terrible cook and makes a mess of the camp…" Cielo went on.
