Chapter 138 - Chapter 140: The Operation Was Interrupted, Nagato Was Confused!

"Fire Style – True Flame!"

Uchiha Andrew had always been a master of physical combat. No matter the training, he had never failed, so facing both Obito and Konan at the same time wasn't a huge problem for him.

But Konan's Paper Style was just too slippery. Her attacks could shift direction in an instant, paper wings scattering mid-air into deadly sheets, and she always made sneaky moves at unexpected moments. This constant trickery was irritating to fight against.

After Konan arrived to help Obito, even he began to find some fighting spirit. Although his Hollow ability was rarely used in this battle, he finally resorted to it. Combined with his Wood Style, even Andrew found the situation tricky.

As the saying goes, "A wise man never stands under a crumbling wall." Andrew would not allow their teamwork to gain momentum.

He launched a massive Fire Style attack, and the sheer force of the flames forced both Obito and Konan to break formation and dodge away.

The blast of fire was so powerful that it spread across the battlefield, even affecting the other two ongoing fights.

A few ninja watching in the distance were stunned.

> "Can a single person really unleash Fire Style on this level?!"

"How many Water Style users would it take to counter that?"

"Uchiha's chakra reserves… are they really that vast?"

"No wonder people say Uchiha Andrew could be another Uchiha Madara. In terms of Fire Style scale, he's not any less."

Ohnoki, the Third Tsuchikage, felt his eyelids twitch. At his age, seeing a Fire Style of this magnitude was nothing short of terrifying.

Obito, watching Andrew with his Sharingan, felt his heart tighten. As a fellow Uchiha, he knew his clan specialized in Fire Style, but Andrew's mastery was on another level entirely.

Even though Obito had transplanted Hashirama's cells into himself and gained a massive increase in chakra, he still couldn't do anything close to this.

> Is this guy Andrew even human?

Konan, after dodging the flames, didn't immediately try to counterattack. Her Paper Style, while versatile, was naturally weak to fire. Normally, she could shield herself with countless paper layers—but against Andrew's flames, the paper simply disintegrated.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, the Fourth Raikage spoke to Ohnoki during the brief pause in fighting:

> "Have you noticed, old man? These six enemies we're facing—each one is strong, but only the one in the center truly has Kage-level strength."

The two of them had been fighting Payne's Six Paths long enough to learn some key details.

> "One person can't perfectly control six bodies. Their vision is linked—whatever one sees, the others see too."

Ohnoki nodded, adding:

> "There's more. That Rinnegan technique that pushes everything away—the repulsion—it has a cooldown time of about five seconds. Raikage, that's your opening."

Then, unexpectedly, Andrew spoke up in the middle of his own fight, drawing everyone's attention.

For a moment, Obito and Konan both froze.

> He's fighting both of us at once… and still has the awareness to analyze another battle?

Even Nagato, hidden far away controlling the Six Paths of Pain, almost cursed out loud.

> How can someone fight two Akatsuki members and still calmly give tactical information to the enemy?

It was humiliating—Andrew had not only fought them evenly but also spotted the weaknesses in the Six Paths formation.

Obito scowled.

> "No! Uchiha Andrew's presence makes the situation too unpredictable! We should retreat before things spiral further out of control."

If he had known Andrew would be here, he would never have agreed to Nagato's plan in the first place. Nagato was blinded by his confidence in the Rinnegan's power. If the Rinnegan could truly dominate everything, Nagato wouldn't need to sneak around and work in the shadows.

Andrew's Mangekyō Sharingan was clearly far stronger than average, and his overall ability was dangerously high. If the fight continued, Obito feared the Akatsuki might be wiped out entirely.

Nagato's tired voice entered the minds of the Akatsuki members:

> "The plan will be moved ahead of schedule. Help me delay them—there are still too many coalition shinobi alive."

Obito didn't argue further. He and Konan moved closer to the Deva Path (Tendō), ready to guard Nagato's ultimate move.

Then, everyone saw it—the Deva Path slowly rising into the air, shielded by other Akatsuki members. Andrew's expression twitched.

> Good grief. I thought Konan covering the entire Rain Village in explosive tags was extreme, but Nagato's about to go even further.

From the sidelines, Ao of the Mist, using his Byakugan and sensory skills, shouted:

> "Everyone, stop him! A huge amount of chakra is gathering in the sky—this jutsu…!"

Even without him finishing the sentence, everyone felt the oppressive pressure filling the air.

The Fourth Raikage launched himself upward, but was intercepted by Sasori's puppets. Ohnoki, though able to fly, was blocked by Konan before he could use his Dust Release.

Obito and the remaining Paths of Pain kept Andrew and Terumi Mei pinned down. Obito didn't mind Nagato using his ultimate technique—it would be a victory if Andrew was killed here.

But then—"Time to stop."

Andrew's eyes snapped open. Blood ran from his left eye, and suddenly… the suffocating pressure vanished.

Even more shockingly—Pain's Six Paths froze in place, completely unable to move. The Rinnegan in their eyes dulled, and the chakra that bound them was gone.

Sasori's puppets crashed to the ground like lifeless dolls, their strings cut.

Obito's lone visible eye widened. Without hesitation, he activated Kamui, warping away every nearby Akatsuki member. In his rush, he didn't even have time to retrieve the immobilized Pain bodies—only Konan and the Deva Path escaped with him.

---

In an underground chamber of the Rain Village, Nagato sat with his hands clasped, staring in confusion at Obito and the others emerging from the Kamui space.

If Ohnoki had been there, he might have sympathized—both men had faced Andrew and been forced to retreat without even using their trump cards.

Nagato's mind was spinning.

> Why was my link to the Six Paths suddenly severed? Why did the chakra I'd gathered vanish in an instant? What just happened?

Obito's expression was grim.

> "Don't think too much about it. That was Uchiha Andrew's Mangekyō technique. We need to leave before he…"

He didn't finish the sentence. Even without knowing the full details, Obito could tell Andrew's eye technique was devastating—capable of neutralizing every active jutsu at once, even affecting the Rinnegan itself.

It was supposed to be impossible—Rinnegan was superior to Mangekyō Sharingan. Yet here was proof that Andrew could disrupt it completely.

For the first time in a long while, Nagato felt genuine unease.
