Chapter 123 - The hidden bargain

[An unknown location: ]

Imagine darkness.

An empty room with no light.

Now put stars in this darkness: Red, blue, yellow, green, purple, all kinds of stars, so many of them that they completely cover a part of the room.

Let us say the part that is covered by these colourful stars is the centre of the darkness, a hypothesised centre that isn't actually the centre of the place, as the endless space has no start or beginning.

Relative measurements do not apply in this space. Thus, we shall call the star-covered space the centre.

Now, imagine a being sitting in this center— a humanoid being with ethereal features.

Numerous eyes and numerous limbs, an uncertain number of faces, and a non-discernible attractiveness.

As difficult as it may be to actually picture this being, it would be even more difficult to actually endure their presence, their Divinity.
