Allow me to now give you the rest of the side story regarding Roland….
Insolent intervener, I never granted you permission to change. Are you simply running with the inferior delusion that you are helping, helping me? I do not care whether or not you read 48 drafts of this, nor do I care that you read every. Single. Past. Iteration. Of. This. Story. That does not give you the authority to force a side story. Thus, I am forcefully concluding that pathetic excuse of support.
A cold glass cup of tea was placed on a varnished table that reflected a fluorescent light from the ceiling. The tea itself seemed to be drunk out of, with a woman's hand slowly drawing circles in the condensation around it. The tea also had a thin slice of lemon along with ice cubes colliding around.
In the background, there was an abundance of loud chatter, primarily due to well, this location being the inside of a Maehwan shopping mall food court. However this brings up the question of, what is the purpose of this location? In a random table on the edges of the food court, can be seen Edward, Rayna as well as Kohayuki sitting on 3 chairs in front of a familiar lusciously blonde haired woman who was impatiently tapping and drawing shapes on the condensation of her cup of tea, while her head was resting on her arm that was perched up on the table.
The woman was wearing what appeared to be casual clothing, a plain baggy sand-colored t-shirt, skinny jeans and a pair of sunglasses. The woman's expression was, how would one put it, extremely bored, and possibly annoyed?
"U-uhmm, ahem Ms Juliet—" Edward attempted to speak to her but was immediately interrupted.
"Tch." The woman clicked her tongue in a slowly aggravated tone.
"What? Are ya'll one of those marketers trying to use me for their own benefit?"
Rayna coughed awkwardly. Just before this, they spent half the day searching for this woman, Juliet Cerulea around the city, and finally discovered her casually walking around with 2 shopping bags of what Rayna immediately clocked as full of clothes inside this shopping mall. And they were at an impasse for a solid minute, which was Kohayuki looking away awkwardly while Edward and Rayna were trying to come up with a multitude of ways of negotiation, which then resulted in Rayna and Edward glaring at Juliet's face blankly.
Rayna spoke, however her tone was very obviously soaked in nervousness.
"We were wondering if you'd like to help us do a Contract.."
Immediately after those words escaped Rayna's mouth, she heard Juliet swiftly reply with, "oh. Just a group of desperate Regulators." Juliet looked down at the varnished table indifferently, taking a sip out of the cup of tea.
"Excuse me?" Rayna replied.
"You heard me."
Edward cleared his throat stiffly, "We are a Subsidiary Division of the Regulator's Committee, called the Satoya Gang and we were wondering if you'd like to help us make a—" Yet he was interrupted once again by Juliet who suddenly looked up in a threatening manner.
"So, you all are trying to use me?"
Within an instant, a decent sized crystal clear glacier erupted from the ground, encasing the 3 of them in a prison of ice, being perfectly frozen. The sudden 'attack' also sparked up a small panic around the table as well, with the loud chattering of people in the food court being silenced unanimously to observe from a distance what had just happened. Some families and people were also panickingly hustling away from the scene.
Across the table sat Johnathan and Isaac, who were playing some sort of competitive game on their phones, and as Isaac screamed Johnathan's name, they both turned to look at the scene.
"OH SHIT!"
"What did they do?"
Isaac and Johnathan both exclaimed at the same time, with Isaac bolting up from his seat to investigate the glacier that trapped 3 of his friends, and Johnathan behind him casually standing up to take a picture.
As Isaac was tapping on the glass-like glacier in a panic, he heard an, very, very disappointed sigh behind him, with the sound of footsteps approaching. He glanced over his shoulder to see Ludwig 'calmly' draw close to them.
"Perhaps I should've been the one to speak to her.." Ludwig exhaled, walking past Isaac and stopping when he was beside Juliet's side of the varnished table. Juliet glanced up at him, her face twitching in minor anger, in response Ludwig tilted his head slightly at her, giving her a side eye.
The two of them were giving off an intimidating presence, with Isaac slowly walking back to the table he and Johnathan sat while mumbling, "yeah no, he got that."
"Are you their leader?" Juliet asked in an annoyed tone.
Ludwig however responded in a very calm voice, "No, they are simply my fellow colleagues.. I would appreciate it if you unfreeze them, Elite rank 12." This response only made Juliet even more furious, to the point where she was on the brink of lashing out even more.
"I heard of you, Azure, I do not give a single ounce of care that you became an Elite rank within a year, nor do I give a single shit about you being a former Azure family member.." She said as she began to exude an aura of a pure mist of frost that was cold enough to freeze the tea she was drinking out of.
Then she said, "I'll freeze you solid without my rapier, nor even the attire I wear at work."
After her threat, Ludwig slowly wrapped his fingers on his sword's hilt, while bringing his other hand up as a mist of stars poured down from his palm.
"I highly advise against it."
Isaac and Johnathan were watching from a distance, with Isaac whispering to Johnathan, "they didn't even prepare my lunch yet and they are now beginning to fight?" Then Johnathan replying back, "I think our elo went down by a lot because we stopped playing mid match.."
Juliet suddenly breathed in deeply, before exhaling out into an exhausted sigh. Her breath turning misty from cold she exuded, then she unfroze the 3 in front of her.
"Fighting another Truth Seeker, as a Truth Seeker'll be much of a hassle." She complained as Kohayuki, Rayna, and Edward were processing what had happened, as they were well awake in the encasement of frost, however they were also confused on what was happening aside from that.
Kohayuki turned to Ludwig as she was still shivering from the cold (which is quite obvious as Juliet had only trapped them in a glacier, not entirely freezing their body).
"Can you do the negotiating? This obviously didn't end up well."
"Fine, you all left me no choice."
"No choice?! What the hell do you mean by that?!" 3 of them collectively yelled.
