Chapter 5 - [5] A New Reward

There was actually one more thing Yuhara hadn't said out loud:

"How can we possibly manage Konoha with this bunch of parasites?"

But that wasn't important right now. What mattered was the change he could already see in Shisui's eyes.

Yuhara's words had been forceful, even incendiary—and although Shisui hadn't responded directly, his gaze toward Yuhara had undeniably shifted.

Without exaggeration, Yuhara's argument had shaken Shisui's worldview.

Yes, the amount of "radical" ideas Yuhara had dumped on him in one go was overwhelming. But every point was logical, well-grounded, and impossible to refute after reflection.

That was the power of being a transmigrator. He had seen the plot of the original story—he knew how everything would unfold. He stood at a vantage point others didn't.

And though Shisui had a reputation for being too idealistic when it mattered most, he wasn't stupid. The reason he chose suicide in the original timeline was precisely because he saw the futility of resistance.

You don't get into the Anbu if you're a fool.

He had access to sensitive information. And now, as he reviewed what he knew, compared it to what Yuhara said, and connected the dots…

He realized, to his own dismay, that Yuhara had been right.

The truth hit him hard.

He was clearly still struggling with it—his thoughts in turmoil. Yuhara knew better than to push him any further for now. That phase was over.

Shisui needed time. Time to rest. Time to realign. Time to rebuild his perspective.

"Well, looks like I can skip picking up a mission today."

Yuhara let out a quiet sigh. He ended up walking Shisui home, then returned to his own house.

His home was a decently sized two-bedroom bungalow—left to him by his parents, who'd died in the Third Great Ninja War.

As one of the more gifted members of the clan, he had access to a vast trove of ninja scrolls and training materials, many of which now filled the small home.

Despite all that, the house was always clean. Another perk of his status—someone from the clan was assigned to keep the place tidy.

He never had to lift a finger. All he needed to do was focus on training, even though he hadn't joined any faction within the clan.

In truth, life had been comfortable.

But he had less than a year left to live like this.

If he wanted to keep this lifestyle—or improve it—and survive at the same time, he needed to start working now.

"Funny how people only get truly motivated when their lives are on the line."

He flopped down onto the bed, arms behind his head, thinking about what kind of decision Shisui would ultimately make.

Even if he set Shisui aside, there was still the bigger issue: how to remove Fugaku from power.

There were only two options: peaceful resolution, or something more forceful.

But this was the Uchiha clan.

Peaceful resolutions were never easy.

This clan was full of arrogant, prideful lunatics. If you wanted to reason with them, you first had to prove you were worth reasoning with.

And how did you prove that?

Simple. With strength.

Naruto could lecture Sasuke until his throat went dry and get nowhere. But when he beat the crap out of him in the Valley of the End, Sasuke folded without another word.

That's how it worked.

"Looks like if I want Fugaku out of the picture, I'll have to do it the hard way."

There was a possibility of starting with the Police Force. He could slowly gather allies, form a power base, and then quietly eliminate the extremist ringleaders.

Assassination wasn't ideal—but sometimes, killing a figurehead could collapse an entire movement.

These people were lynchpins. They had goals, they had doctrine—and when they spoke, others followed.

But take them out?

The structure would crumble.

It was the same strategy used overseas to dismantle the Black Panther Party—take out their ideological leaders, and the movement fell apart. Once fierce, now forgotten, reduced to props for Hollywood nostalgia.

"Maybe I'll have to go that far too… But Fugaku is the real threat. The biggest question is—does he have the Mangekyō Sharingan?"

In the main manga, Fugaku never used it. But in Itachi Shinden, he revealed it to Itachi.

Yuhara didn't know which version this world followed. He had to assume the worst.

If Fugaku did have the Mangekyō, Yuhara would have to be even more cautious.

"Which means I need to unlock my own Mangekyō as soon as possible. I have to go out tomorrow—no matter what—and start hunting down those four Jonin I need."

Just as he thought this, a translucent system panel blinked into view across his retina.

『Congratulations, Host, for earning preliminary approval from Uchiha Shisui.』

『Shisui has been awakened by your words. He is beginning to recognize the internal crisis of the clan and its broken relationship with the village.』

『While he has not voiced it yet, he will now choose to assist you in certain situations.』

Yuhara froze for a moment, then smiled.

Even partial recognition from Shisui was a big win. People were cautious by nature. Suspicion came first, trust later.

And the more suspicion you broke down, the stronger the trust that followed.

"Looks like I'll have to continue guiding him. The more I expand his perspective, the more useful he'll become."

Yuhara was elated.

Even if Shisui hadn't awakened the Mangekyō yet, in the original story, he eventually did. That meant Yuhara had the future support of a Mangekyō-level ninja.

Of course he was happy.

Then, the system panel shifted again.

『Current Binding: Uchiha Clan』

『Status: Critically unstable — the clan is deeply divided; outside threats loom』

『Prosperity Level: 9,848 (Normal clan base: 10,000)』

『Suggestion: End the internal division as soon as possible. Stabilize the clan's environment. Unite all who can be united to face the coming storm.』

『Reward: Congratulations, Host. You have received 1,000 points. You may now perform one ability draw.』

Draw Results – Choose One:

• 『Flight Technique』 – Use chakra to fly freely through the sky.

• 『Blazing Flame』 – Gain Fire Style: Blazing Flame. Rapidly spreads fire in all directions, damaging nearby enemies. (Fire affinity granted if missing.)
