Bai Hanyun ignored Gui Ying and turned back to Feng Wu. Smiling warmly, she said, "Feng Wu, long time no see. How have you been?"
Though still guarded against Gui Ying, Feng Wu clasped his fists and answered, "Thanks to Fairy Bai's blessing, this subordinate is living well."
Looking at his lips, which were no longer pale and cracked, Bai Hanyun knew that Feng Wu was telling the truth.
"I'm glad to hear that." After they exchanged a few words, Bai Hanyun looked at the bright morning sky. "It's almost time. Gui Ying, let's go."
"Mhm." Gui Ying hummed in agreement.
With Feng Wu's help, Bai Hanyun boarded the carriage, followed by Gui Ying.
After lowering the door curtain, Feng Wu then took his seat beside the coachman. With a flick of the coachman's horse whip, the carriage rolled past the Great General's mansion toward Xiqiang City's southern gate.
An hour later, the coachman parked the horse carriage near the southern city gate.
