Chapter 113 - The New Family Member

The Next Day.

At Yuki's Home.

Everyone was already up and having breakfast.

Kotori, while eating, kept glancing at another figure seated at the opposite end of the table.

"So... Onii-chan, aren't you going to introduce this person?" Kotori mumbled through her food, turning her gaze towards Yuki.

Unlike the previous days, there was an extra person at the breakfast table today—Kanade Tachibana.

"Her name is Kanade Tachibana. Please get along well with her." Yuki introduced Kanade to Kotori with a smile.

"I understand!" Origami, sitting nearby, nodded. She then extended a hand towards Kanade. "Hello, comrade."

Kanade tilted her head slightly upon hearing Origami's "comrade," clearly puzzled as to why this girl would call her that.

Origami noticed Kanade's confusion and explained, "Since we've both shouldered the same... burden, we're comrades-in-arms."

Origami's words made Kanade immediately grasp the (somewhat risqué) meaning. Though the phrasing was a bit crude, there was undeniable truth to it.

"Hello." Kanade reached out, giving Origami's hand a brief, light shake before letting go.

"Huh...? How did you two reach a consensus so quickly?!" Kotori watched this exchange, not knowing where to begin her retort, and couldn't help but hold her forehead.

"Mio-nee, you should say something to Onii-chan too! He brings a new woman home every two or three days. Soon this house will become his personal harem!"

Kotori turned her pleading gaze towards Mio, who had been quietly smiling all along.

Hearing Kotori's words, Mio's smile deepened with a knowing look. "That's exactly why I arranged for such a large house!"

Mio's response made Kotori suddenly realize something.

"Oh... So that's why! No wonder I thought it was strange when we first moved into this house. There are only three of us, but we have so many rooms in such a big place. Turns out you had it all planned out from the start!"

Kotori couldn't help but bite her thumbnail, only now realizing the truth.

So it turned out her sister had long understood her brother's preferences. Knowing he would frequently bring women home, she had conveniently prepared this spacious house.

"Hehe, Kotori, you're a bit slow on the uptake," Mio teased with a smile.

"Ugh... Who could have guessed any woman would willingly help the man she loves build a harem? Who would believe such a thing if you told them?" Kotori complained.

"I would," Origami raised her hand.

"You don't count! You're just a pervert at best!" Kotori shot a sidelong glance at Origami, her eyes full of playful sarcasm.

Meanwhile, Kanade quietly observed Origami, Mio, and Kotori. Last night, after everything at the underground institute, Yuki had brought her back to his home. Once there, they had started another round of intimacy in his room, only to be interrupted midway by the sudden intrusion of the other three. But with the arrow already nocked on the bowstring, Yuki hadn't introduced Kanade then, simply pulling the others into the fray as well.

So, until now, she hadn't known their names. The only information she had was that these three, like her, were Yuki's women.

"Let me introduce them to you."

Yuki noticed Kanade's confusion and took the opportunity to introduce Mio and the others.

"This is Mio-nee. She is..."

After listening to the introductions, Kanade looked puzzled.

"Spirits? What are those? Are they like the fairies from fairy tales?"

Due to her heart condition, Kanade had spent most of her childhood in hospitals. In such places, her only companions were fairy tale books and the like, which cultivated her quiet hobby for reading.

"Fairies from fairy tales? No way!" Kotori shook her head, denying Kanade's assumption.

"Watch closely! We are this kind of Spirit!"

With that, Kotori stood up from her seat, and a flame instantly enveloped her entire body.

When the flames dissipated, she stood before Kanade dressed in her astral dress: Elohim Gibor

"I see. It's like a magical girl," Kanade mused, reminded of the magical girls from children's anime.

"Uh... magical girl..." Kotori looked down at herself, thinking it over. She couldn't really refute it. After all, magical girls also transformed and changed outfits—it was quite similar.

Casually dismissing her Astral Dress, Kotori sat back down. She then started learning about Kanade, as they were all still unfamiliar with each other.

Yuki proceeded to explain Kanade's situation.

After hearing it, everyone expressed sympathy for Kanade's past heart condition.

"Heart disease... that is indeed a difficult illness to cure," Kotori remarked thoughtfully, stroking her chin.

"Mhm." Kanade nodded. "But it's fine now. Yuki has cured me. So, I'm very grateful to him."

As she said this, her amber eyes turned towards Yuki, filled with infinite tenderness and adoration.

"So grateful you ended up in bed with him, huh?" Kotori mumbled a retort under her breath.

Of course, it was just a complaint; she wasn't actually angry. After all, she understood that Yuki didn't have only a few women around him. If she got seriously upset about it, she'd probably die of anger.

After learning about Kanade's experience, Mio and the others took extra care of her during breakfast, encouraging her to eat more. Even Origami actively shared food she thought was delicious. For Kanade, who hadn't interacted with so many people in a long time, this warmth and homely feeling was comforting. It made her feel that joining this big family was a good choice.

Soon, Kanade was chatting with Mio, Origami, and Kotori. During the conversation, her usual solitude-induced emotionless, icy, and reticent demeanor softened significantly. In truth, Kanade's personality was more of an airhead, creating a "gap moe" that everyone found endearing.

After breakfast, Yuki, Kotori, and the others had to leave for school. When school was mentioned, a flicker of longing flashed in Kanade's eyes, though she quickly hid it. However, everyone present was no ordinary person; they instantly noticed her desire to attend school. Considering her heart condition, it was likely this young girl had dropped out of school early due to her illness.

"Kanade, do you want to go to school?" Yuki asked her.

"Huh?" Hearing Yuki's question, a look of worry appeared on Kanade's exquisitely beautiful face. She seemed worried about causing him trouble and was about to deny it.

But Yuki didn't give her the chance. Instead, he smiled gently and ruffled her hair. "Don't worry, it won't be any trouble. Now that you're better, it's time to think about school."

Kotori and the others agreed with Yuki's view.

Soon, they decided that Yuki and the others would first go to school to help Kanade with the admission application. Later, Kanade could simply transfer into Yuki's class.
