Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

Back in the house, Rowan and Sienna were talking.

"Wife, we're leaving to join the army tomorrow. Is there anything you want to bring with you?"

"No."

"Alright, then I'll pack everything."

Rowan started packing, but when Sienna saw what he was doing, she stopped him and began packing herself. She couldn't let her master do it.

Rowan pulled Sienna to sit down beside him and said, "You don't need to do it. I'll take care of it. From now on, just behave nicely. These are small things you don't need to worry about."

"Okay."

After hearing his words, Sienna didn't argue and just sat quietly.

"Husband, can you tell me about the current time and situation? I don't know much."

When Rowan heard this, he remembered his mother had told him Sienna had lost her memory. But lately, she didn't seem like she had. She acted a little strange, but her brain seemed fine. He decided to ask her about it.

He sat down next to Sienna and stopped packing. "Wife, what do you remember? Can you tell me?"

"I remember I'm 001, a robot created by your parents to protect you. Your health was really bad, so I was made to take care of you and keep you safe. I know medicine and fighting skills."

After hearing this, Rowan thought maybe his wife really was a bit silly.

"But wife, as you can see, my body is healthy now."

"Yes, I noticed. That's what I find strange. Based on current medical technology, your illness shouldn't be curable."

"So, how good are your medical and fighting skills?"

"My medical skills should be pretty good. I know most of what's been available over thousands of years. My fighting skills should also be strong. At the very least, you wouldn't be able to beat me."

"Alright, wife, you need to remember that your name is Sienna. You're from the Changqing Brigade. Your parents are gone, and it's just you now. You graduated high school, and you're 18 years old. Don't say you're 001 or talk about being a robot anymore."

"Okay, I got it."

"Rowan, take good care of Sienna on the road. There are bad people out there. Don't let anyone trick her or take her away."

"Sienna, stay close to Rowan. Don't get separated, or you might never see your husband again."

"Don't worry, Mom. There are so many of us going. Four soldiers can surely protect one person."

Cuilan quickly turned around and said to the other three, "Felix, Steve, Brandon, you three must help your aunt watch over Sienna. It's fine if Rowan gets lost, but my daughter-in-law must stay safe."

She wasn't satisfied yet and added, "If you get separated, make sure you find Sienna first. Don't worry about Rowan. Promise me. She's the only beautiful daughter-in-law I have."

"Auntie, don't worry. We'll watch her closely. Nothing will happen. You can relax."

"Mom, we need to go now, or we'll miss the ride."

"Alright, go then."

The group carried lots of bags as they left. If it weren't for the other three helping, they wouldn't have brought so much.

"Rowan, Auntie really likes Sienna. If it weren't for her, she wouldn't have let us bring this much food."

"Old Felix, you really guessed it right. My mom always wanted a sweet and obedient daughter. When Sienna was little, my mom often tried to secretly bring her home, but every time Aunt Yin would take her back."

"No wonder."

Soon, they arrived at the train station. They checked the time and saw it was almost time, so they went straight to the platform.

When the train arrived, the four men surrounded Sienna to protect her. She didn't get pushed or squeezed at all when boarding. This time, they were in a sleeper car.

Before, Rowan always bought hard seats for himself. But this time, he didn't want his little wife to suffer, so he bought sleeper tickets. The other three joined them too.

After getting into the carriage and putting their things away, Rowan told Sienna to sit.

"Wife, you take the lower bunk. Felix and Steve will take the middle and upper bunks. I'll be across from you. Rest for a bit, don't be afraid."

"Okay," Sienna answered sweetly.

In the evening, when Sienna went to wash up and prepare to eat, a man suddenly rushed over with a knife in his hand, and someone was chasing him from behind.

People on both sides of the carriage quickly moved away, afraid of getting hurt.

Rowan glanced at the nearby restroom and saw it was empty. He quickly pushed Sienna inside to keep her safe.

"Sienna, go in and lock the door."

Then he rushed forward to block the man. The person chasing the man caught up and saw Rowan in uniform.

"Comrade, stop him, he's a spy."

After hearing that, Rowan knew he couldn't let the man go. The man realized he was surrounded and decided to fight.

"Drop your weapon, or we won't go easy on you."

The spy saw the gun in the hand of the person behind him and noticed Rowan was unarmed. He decided to attack Rowan.

He charged at Rowan with the knife, aiming for his heart.

Rowan quickly raised his hand to block the attack. Then he kicked toward the man, but the man dodged the attack.

As they fought again, Sienna came out of the restroom and saw what was happening. She rushed forward, pulled Rowan aside, and grabbed the man's arm tightly.

Then she lifted him and slammed him to the ground hard, followed by a strong kick that sent him flying. The man hit the floor, spat out blood twice, and passed out.

The others who saw Sienna's strength were very impressed. They wanted to greet her but first checked on the spy. After confirming he was still alive, they tied him up.

Then a man came over and introduced himself.

"Comrades, hello, I'm Ouyang from the National Security Bureau. Thank you for your help today. This female comrade is really impressive."

"Hello, I'm Rowan, and this is my wife Sienna. We just helped because we were there. It's our duty. If there's nothing else, we'll return to our seats."

"Comrade, can you tell me which military district you're from? We'll report this properly and give you a commendation. This is a recognized achievement."

Rowan hesitated. He wasn't sure whether he should reveal Sienna's abilities. But seeing Ouyang was from National Security, there was no point in hiding.

"Southern Military District, Third Regiment, Second Battalion Commander Rowan. This is my wife Sienna, a military spouse traveling with me."

"Alright, I'll report this truthfully. Thank you again. This person is very important."
