Chapter 41 - Chapter 40

"It's nothing, don't worry about it. It's just two women fighting. It's not your problem. Just stay away so people don't think you're picking sides."

As Sienna spoke, her hands kept moving without stopping.

Rowan really wanted to ask, just how many times had she practiced this? She was so good at it.

"That's for throwing my things! That's for throwing my things!"

"You little b*tch! Let me go! Did you hear me? I'm going to report you!"

"Go ahead. Since you're going to report me, I might as well hit you a few more times first."

"Let me go! Get off me, you cheap fox! Sl*t!"

Sienna didn't stop her hands. "Keep yelling. Keep cursing. Let's see if I'll hit you or not."

Soon, Zhao brought people over. The ones who came were some army wives from the residential area. Quite a few people followed behind too—Zhao had made quite a scene.

When they arrived, the wives rushed to pull them apart, mainly because Sienna's moves looked too fierce. After they were finally separated, everyone got a good look at Sienna's face and silently called her a vixen in their hearts.

One of the wives quickly asked, "What happened?"

Sienna spoke up, "We were moving in, and she came over saying we stole her house and told us to switch. We refused, so she tried to grab something from my man's hands and threw it outside."

Hearing this, everyone looked at the other woman. The wife who asked the question spoke again, "Dani, what's going on?"

Dani didn't say much, just one sentence: "This place should have been given to us. My family has more people."

"This house was assigned from above. It's not up to you to decide. What you're doing is wrong. You should apologize."

"I won't! Why should I? She hit me! Look at how badly I was beaten!"

The army wife looked at her and saw she did look quite miserable. She spoke up, "Hello, I'm Hazel, the wife of the political officer of the regiment. I now know the reason. This house was assigned at the regiment level, which is why it happened like this. Her family's application was rejected, and she's upset."

"She's the wife of the commander of Company One, her name is Dani. How about we just settle it like this? She threw things, and this young lady hit her. Maybe both sides should apologize, since both did something wrong."

Hazel didn't want things to get too serious. Both women's husbands were her husband's soldiers. But it was clear Sienna didn't plan to apologize. After all, she felt it was justified, and her little expression showed she actually enjoyed it.

Hearing this, Sienna immediately said, "Fine. But please ask her to leave, or I can't promise I won't hit her again. Also, all the wives here, if your men aren't happy with my husband getting this position, they should challenge him and beat him in a fight instead of gossiping behind his back."

"If you're not happy with me, same goes for you—if you can't beat me, send your husbands. If this kind of thing happens again, I'll drag your husbands in and fight them with you. I believe if I fight you enough times, you'll finally accept it."

"No matter how this house came to us, it belongs to us now."

"Sister, let's keep moving our things."

After saying that, Sienna nodded to Hazel and went to continue moving their things.

Sienna really didn't plan to apologize. But starting off by offending the boss's wife wasn't a good idea either. Not apologizing was the best choice.

Hazel took everyone away. Dani said, "Sister, why? If houses at the company level can live here, why was our application denied?"

Hazel looked at her and said, "Because his wife is strong. She's from Company One. Can you please stop causing trouble? If that young girl had really gone all out, you'd be in the hospital right now."

After Hazel finished talking, she went back. Her husband had asked her to help take care of some people and mentioned that the young wife was tough. She didn't expect trouble to happen so quickly after arriving.

The others left together. They were all talking about the new company commander and his wife. In the end, everyone agreed not to mess with the couple. They were too fierce, and no one wanted to get involved.

Zhao looked at Rowan and said, "Commander, this house wasn't what the chief asked for."

Rowan looked up at Zhao and asked, "Then where did it come from?"

"Because of your wife. The Southern Military District submitted a report on your wife's soldier training results. The local military district probably wants to hire her, and the leaders up top had the same idea. So, after the chief mentioned it, they agreed to give you a bigger house."

"How do you know all this?" Normally, Zhao shouldn't know the details.

Zhao rubbed his head and said awkwardly, "Because I was the one handling it all."

Now Rowan understood and straightened up. He felt proud. Soft rice was delicious—no work, but good things came to him.

Once the things were unloaded, Zhao left. He still needed to go to the hospital to protect Old Master Tang.

When everyone left, Rowan stepped forward and said, "Wife, next time, just hit people like you used to."

"No, hitting people like that works. It feels good. Fighting is only for when I'm fighting you guys."

"Tell me honestly, did you learn how to fight in the village?"

"No."

"Then how did you learn? Last time, your mother just slapped someone in the face."

"Mom taught me later. She said the outside world can be tricky and that powerful people's daughters might take an interest in you. So, she told me to fight like this and tell them, 'This is how my mother-in-law taught me to hit her daughter-in-law.'"

"If you ever get interested in someone else, I'll beat you to death. If there's a problem, I'll send you away and find me a new husband."

"When did she teach you this?"

"When you were helping with the work, I was bored with mom, and she worried I'd be bullied."

"Wife, let's forget everything Mom taught you. You're really good at fighting. You don't need to learn anything else. What Mom said won't happen."

"When will Mom get the letter?"

"In two weeks."

Because of today's fight, Sienna's life calmed down for a while. No one came to visit. She became well-known in one battle, and everyone started avoiding her.

The two of them started packing their things. Then, they went to pick up the luggage that had been sent. After everything was packed, the day had already passed.

"Wife, let's go buy some furniture tomorrow."

"Okay."
