Chapter 10 - Finding Jean

Andrew had fully instructed his men on the task they were to handle. They have to go after the alpha and his pack also save Jean. Jean was the major reason why he was going after these werewolves. He was not interested in the family feud that both families had. All he wants is Jean and his biggest concern is if Jean would love him and if she hasn't been taken by the alpha of the pack that took her. He just wants a chance to prove his love to her, Jean. He still can't believe he is involving himself in such a situation. He hasn't even had a conversation with Jean or even knew much about her, but he believes he could at least save her even though she might not like him as much as he does. They have to leave before the next full moon, because they don't want the werewolves to be at their peak. Being a lycan you have a lot of advantages, because you can transform fully without or without the full moon. They are shapeshifters, unlike the other werewolves that can only transform into a full moon. Andrew sat in this room. This was the room Karen was brought to at first. He had a big portrait of his mother hanging on the wall of his room. He just sat there and kept on staring at his mother's portrait and tears dropped on his cheeks. He loved his mother so much, unlike his father, who made him aggressive and ruthless. His mother taught him to be kind and calm, and never stop loving humans. Andrew's father never liked him spending much time with his mother. He feels spending time with her makes him weak and a lycan shouldn't be seen as a weakling. He must be strong, brutal and aggressive. These were his father's attributes, and he wanted Andrew to be like him. He loved the time he spent with his mother, how she stroked his hair and told him stories. When Andrew had his first transformation, she was there to teach him how to control it and how to be calm and not to hurt himself or anyone. Even when his father was rude and harsh towards his mother, she still loved and respected the father, and she never made Andrew hate him. He lay on his bed and quickly had flashbacks of how his mother was killed, how she cried for help, but his father didn't help her or even try to avenge her death.

Andrew was a young lad when he lost his mother. He was with his mother when they attacked their home. It was the Grin pack who attacked them and back then it was led by a different alpha who was sworn enemies with Andrew's father. The Grim pack lost the fight, but they took something valuable. Although it wasn't valuable to Andrew's father, it meant the whole world to him and that was his mother. He watched as the alpha ripped his mother's body apart and immediately that side of him that his father wanted to be surfaced, the calm-loving man his mother wanted him to disappear. He helped his father with destroying and chasing the Grim pack away from their territory and that's how they became strayed wolves. Andrew heard a knock on the door, and immediately he came back to reality. He was interrupted by one of his servants.

"Master the witch from Albania is here, and she's ready to see you now, Master" the servant said to Andrew with his head bowed. Andrew stood up and followed the servant as he led the way to another room close to the main entrance of the ballroom. Andrew walked into the room, and she saw a lanky old lady with white cornrow braids. She had drawings on her body. She greeted him as he took his seat across from her. The lady looked into Andrew's eyes and said, "You tend to go rescue a girl, and you want me to help you rescue her. "Are you ready to pay the price that comes with it?" Andrew had no reactions to his face. He was silent for a while. He was thinking about what if he sacrificed a lot for all this and Jean did not love him. What was his aim in doing all this, aside from going to fight them to cross their boundaries? What other reason was he doing this? Was love for Jean a huge factor? These were Andrew's thoughts, but then again he wanted to see those eyes. Those eyes were what captivated him. He saw his mother in Jean, and he was really drawn to her, but he wasn't given a chance to meet her.

"I'm ready. "I will pay any sacrifice you want, so far I will get back Jean", Andrew said. He had already made up his mind about finding Jean. He had promised Karen that he would get her back, although he had a fear that Jean might not want him, and she might be in love with the Alpha. The witch said she would do a location spell to find Jean and also give him Hexes to weaken the wolves. She said she would also make some potions that would help him conquer the alpha. Although he wasn't interested in all these potions because he knew he could take down an alpha alone, he had that strength. He was more interested in finding Jean. "What is the sacrifice I'm going to make? "In order to get Jean back, "I want to find her before the next full moon," Andrew asked the witch.

"You give out something dear and precious to you in exchange for saving something you love. On the next full moon, you will fight and conquer the Grim wolves. You will be helped by the moon goddess. On the next full moon, I will cast a spell on them, and they won't be able to transform into their form. Instead, they will be in their human form". The witch said as she did some incarnation. "Are you ready to proceed?" She asked Andrew. Andrew became silent.
