Betty clasped her fingers behind her back, forcing a stiff smile.
"I, I was just injured lightly and only my stomach was hurt, so it got healed pretty quickly."
David snorted and walked past her toward camp.
"Do you think I'm a fool? What a garbage excuse."
Betty's eye twitched as she trailed behind him.

David, walking forward, touched his head, feeling pain as his hand brushed the bandage.
His mind replayed Betty getting punched in the stomach, blood pouring from her mouth.

Hearing strange noises, he glanced back only to see Betty's stiff body and her finger pointing at him.
