Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: A Taste of Luxury

After Blue's pleasant walk through the bustling streets of Restoria, the two C-rank adventurers, Celia and Lyra, led him to a decent inn they recommended: The Rest Inn.

It was a solid, middle-to-high bronze range inn—clean, welcoming, and reasonably priced. Lyra had been right; it wasn't shabby by any means. But as Blue stepped inside and got settled, something didn't sit right with him.

He didn't mind the room at all—it was perfectly fine. Yet, all Blue had to his name was money, and with his ability to create more of it, why would he settle for something "nice" when he could afford much more?

Lyra and Celia had been kind to show him a decent place, but that was their version of "good." For Blue, though, "good" wasn't going to cut it. Not when he could easily have more.

After paying for his room with a small gesture, Blue thought for a moment. He needed to experience more. What was the luxury of this world like?

Without telling anyone his thoughts, Blue left the Rest Inn.

---

The Red Dawn Inn

It didn't take long for Blue to find The Red Dawn Inn—a place that exuded wealth from every corner. The lavish décor, the luxurious furnishings, and the overall wealthy ambiance of the inn were unlike anything he had seen before in Restoria.

The staff greeted him with respectful smiles, and the rooms were even more elegant than the Rest Inn. The room he was shown to had fine tapestries, exquisite furniture, and the softest bed he had ever felt.

Blue felt a sense of excitement fill him. This was living rich—something he never had a chance to experience in his past life. He had been just another average person back in his world. Now, with the power at his fingertips, he could live however he wanted.

As he unpacked his things, his ring activated again.

> [Golden Inn – A Place Beyond Luxury]

Blue paused as he read the message that appeared in the air. The Golden Inn—the name alone suggested extravagance beyond what he had already seen.

His curiosity piqued, Blue asked the front desk about this new place. They confirmed it was even more luxurious than the Red Dawn Inn, but no one really knew much about it except that it was famous among the high-ranking officials and wealthiest people in the city.

Blue took a moment to think.

'If Red Dawn is this nice… and I've got endless money… then surely, the Golden Inn must be unimaginable.'

Without wasting another moment, Blue paid for the night and left the Red Dawn Inn. He had to see it for himself.

The Golden Inn

As Blue arrived at The Golden Inn, he was completely blown away.

The entrance alone was a work of art—golden statues stood at either side, mosaic floors made of rare gemstones, and a majestic chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The staff, dressed in high-end uniforms, greeted him with a bow, and even the hallways were lined with precious paintings and luxurious carpets that seemed to have been designed by the greatest artists of the land.

The lobby was the size of a small hall and was more like a grand ballroom than an inn. A grand piano sat in the corner, being played by a delicate figure in a flowing gown, while elegantly dressed guests sipped on fine drinks.

Blue's eyes widened.

"This is unreal…"

He walked up to the counter, where the receptionist bowed gracefully.

"How may I assist you, sir?"

Blue smiled, still in awe. "I'd like to stay for a night."

The receptionist didn't even bat an eyelash as she smiled.

"Certainly, sir. I would also like to inform you that we currently have a special offer. For four gold coins, you can have a week's worth of stay along with access to breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the week. This also includes use of all our facilities: the spa, fitness center, and our exclusive leisure lounges."

Blue raised an eyebrow. Four gold coins was no small amount, but for a week's stay and everything else included, it sounded like a bargain compared to the quality and luxury of the Golden Inn.

Without hesitation, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a platinum coin.

The receptionist's demeanor shifted immediately. Her eyes widened, and she quickly bowed much deeper than before, her voice filled with a newfound respect.

"Sir, please forgive me for not recognizing your status earlier. It is customary for only the most distinguished of guests to possess such coins."

She then glanced nervously toward the back.

"Allow me to speak with my manager."

---

Moments Later…

A tall man dressed in a sharply tailored suit appeared from the back. He approached Blue with a respectful bow and an air of formality.

"Sir, my sincerest apologies for the oversight. I'm the manager here at Golden Inn. It is an honor to have someone of your stature as a guest."

Blue was still processing everything, but the manager's respect was palpable.

The manager continued, "In recognition of your platinum coin, I must inform you that your stay here will not just be for the week as per our special offer. Given the rarity of platinum coins—possessed only by high nobles of powerful status or S-Rank adventurers with significant political connections—we are pleased to extend your stay to six months, with an additional two months on the house."

The manager's eyes softened as he added, "We do not take your status lightly, sir. It is rare for anyone other than high nobles or S-Rank adventurers with powerful political connections to possess platinum coins."

Blue blinked. Six months with an extra two months free? This was far beyond what he had ever imagined.

"Thank you," Blue replied, his voice calm, though inside he was shocked at the sheer respect the platinum coin commanded.

Settling In

After a brief exchange, Blue was escorted to his suite—a room that was easily the size of a massive luxury condo. The space was enormous—far larger than any room Blue had ever seen before. It was essentially an entire floor of the Golden Inn, covering over 3,000 square feet. The suite had a grand open layout that stretched across the entire space, with high ceilings that gave it a majestic feel.

The floors were made of polished marble, and every surface gleamed with elegance. The suite was divided into multiple sections—each designed with the utmost care for luxury.

Upon entry, there was a grand living room area that could easily accommodate 20 guests, featuring plush, comfortable seating with velvet cushions. Large windows let in a flood of natural light, showcasing sweeping views of the city's skyline. There was an oversized chandelier hanging from the ceiling, casting a warm, inviting glow over the entire area.

The sitting area blended into a spacious dining area that could easily seat up to 12 guests comfortably. The entire room was designed for lavish entertaining, with rich wood paneling and intricate golden accents adorning every corner. A grand piano sat in the corner of the room, its polished surface gleaming under the soft lighting.

At the other end of the room, an expansive kitchen was outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances. There was a marble countertop with exquisite cabinetry, and everything was perfectly organized, ready for any feast that could be prepared.

The bedroom was just as grand, a massive four-poster bed that looked like it could comfortably fit six people. The bed was covered in soft, silken sheets that shimmered in the light. Adjacent to the bed, there was a private lounge area with a pair of armchairs and a cozy fireplace, perfect for reading or relaxing in the evening.

The suite also featured an enormous bathroom—one of the largest Blue had ever seen. The marble walls and floors gleamed with opulence, and the bathtub was large enough to fit an entire group of people. Gold faucets and intricate detailing gave the bathroom a royal feeling.

There was even an indoor garden area, with exotic plants and flowers filling the space with a sense of tranquility. A small waterfall trickled gently in one corner, adding to the overall calming atmosphere.

This suite was, without a doubt, one of the most luxurious spaces Blue had ever encountered. It wasn't just a room—it was an entire self-contained world of luxury, designed for relaxation, comfort, and indulgence.

As Blue stood in the middle of his giant condo-like suite, he couldn't help but marvel at the extravagance of it all. The quality, the sheer size, and the level of detail put into every corner made it clear that this was a space reserved for the wealthiest and most powerful people in the world.

He sighed, sinking into one of the plush chairs by the window. He had never imagined a place like this could exist.

"This is definitely living the high life…" he muttered to himself, already picturing the luxury awaiting him during his stay.

---

Blue took out another platinum coin and stared down at it, turning it over, its polished surface gleaming under the soft light of the inn's ornate chandelier. He had handed it over to the innkeeper earlier without a second thought, eager to find some rest after a long journey.

Now, as he sat in the plush, velvet-covered chair of the luxurious inn, something didn't quite feel right.

"How much is this actually worth?" he muttered to himself, the weight of the situation slowly sinking in.

He hadn't thought much of it when he handed the coin over for his stay, but the lavish surroundings were starting to make him question his decision.

He spoke aloud, hoping the system could offer some clarity.

"System, how much are these coins actually worth?"

The response came quickly, flashing in front of his eyes.

Blue blinked, the reality of the situation crashing into him.

One Platinum Coin to stay in this inn?

That was absurd.

A single Platinum Coin could have been used for much more significant transactions. It was the currency of high nobles and S-Rank elites—powerful individuals of high status with powerful status and connections, often used for castles, S ranked magical items, and high-status transactions.

I had just used it for what should have been a modest week's stay.

As I glanced around the inn, the luxury of the place became painfully clear. I had just spent an amount equivalent to 100 Gold on a room that could probably house an entire A-Rank adventurer team for years at a regular fancy hotel.

If I had been more aware of the world's economy, I might have reconsidered.

Sighing, I let my shoulders slump.

"Guess I'm a bit out of my depth here…" I muttered under my breath.

I needed to be a lot more cautious with how I spent my money in this world. A Platinum Coin wasn't something you spent lightly, and I had just used it without a second thought.
