"Are all of you sure you want to do this?"
Hua Xiran coldly said while observing each Inner Elder who stood up.
A few of the Inner Elders who heard this hesitated. They did not want to rebel and go against Hua Xiran. Some even began to come up with an explanation in their minds to smooth things over with the Sect Master.
"Hmph. This was inevitable. Did you really think such obvious tricks could turn us against each other? You were never fit to lead this Sect!"
Before any of the Inner Elders could back out, Mo Xingyu spoke, sealing their fates. Some Inner Elders could not help but curse internally.
Damn! Should have never gotten on this pirateship!
Bai Shuying looked at the scene unfolding in the sky; her eyes showed concern for her master, but soon, she felt a warm hand on her back. She turned her gaze slightly to the side, seeing Hua Qingyan with a slight smile.
"She's fine, so don't worry, let me treat your wounds."
Hua Qingyan said in a low, soft voice.
Bai Shuying felt Hua Qingyan's Qi enter her body, like a slightly cold flow of water dowsing a burning flame. Bai Shuying felt relieved that the pain in her meridian channel had lessened.
Bai Shuying could only helplessly nod, feeling useless on the inside.
If only I were stronger, I could offer my master some help.
Bai Shuying thought in her mind.
"Oh, so do you deserve to be the Sect Master then?"
Hua Xiran flipped her right hand, and a crystal sphere appeared on her palm. She then tossed it to Mo Xingyu. Mo Xingyu showed a confused expression, extending her hand to catch the crystal sphere. She then focused her Qi on it to view the content inside. Everyone curiously watched what was happening in the sky, but could not hear what they were saying. Most had a clue to what was going on, seeing a group of Elders in the same camp standing.
As time passed slowly, Mo Xingyu's face became paler and paler. Her grip on the sphere became stronger. After the sphere finished playing, she could not help but glance at Hua Qingyan, who was supporting Bai Shuying down below.
Hua Qingyan did not even pay attention to what was going on in the sky; her complete attention was on Bai Shuying.
Seeing her behave like this, Mo Xingyu could not help but have weird thoughts about what was going on between the two, but she would never be able to guess the truth, since she had never thought of that possibility.
Mo Xingyu, with a dark face, turned her attention to Hua Xiran.
"Are you going to use this to condemn me? Did I do anything wrong? Most people in the Sect have already done this."
Mo Xingyu calmly said while shattering the sphere into dust with her hand and throwing it into the air.
"Condemn? No, I have no intention. I just wanted to let you know your little secret is not a secret anymore. I also want to make the Yin-Yang Sect great again, but I can't do that because of you and your faction."
Hua Xiran calmly said.
The faces of the Luxuria faction members changed.
Jiang Wu, who was a neutral Elder, regretted siding with Mo Xingyu at the moment. He only wanted an opportunity to take charge of a Hall to enjoy more benefits. Spending a night with Mo Xingyu was just a bonus.
Zhan Tie became afraid; unlike Jiang Wu, he betrayed Hua Xiran's trust. Now, there will be no place for him in the sect.
"Hahahahaha, So this was just unavoidable."
Mo Xingyu laughed wildly. She knew what this meant. Hua Xiran was planning this for a long time. The only reason she moved now was because she had given her a reason to.
"Do you think it would be that easy to get rid of us?"
Mo Xingyu said with a cold smile, defiance in her voice.
Hua Xiran raised a brow. She never understood where Mo Xingyu's confidence came from. After all, Hua Xiran is a soul transformation cultivator; she could slap Mo Xingyu to death if she wanted.
Instead of waiting for Mo Xingyu to reveal her hand, Hua Xiran stood up from her seat, followed by the Inner Elders who supported her. Su Moyan summoned her sword, Xue Ling held a pair of daggers, Qin Xuan took out a large hammer, and the others manifested their unique spiritual weapons.
Mo Xingyu tapped the spatial ring on her finger, and a deep black formation plate with mysterious gravings landed on her palm.
Seeing this, Hua Xiran sent a voice transmission to Huan Yi.
"Huan Yi, activate the barrier. Have the disciples of the Law Enforcement Pavilion protect the people below."
Huan Yi nodded.
Bai Shuying looked up at the sky, and a dark pink dome started to form, encasing everything. While the formation and runes on the Combat Hall were activated by glowing.
Mo Xingyu did not care what was going on around her; this was an all-or-nothing situation. She infused her Qi, activating the deep black formation plate. It flew out of her hand, levitating in the air, and began to spin rapidly. Soon, it started to expel black mist to form the shape of a cube, and a being covered in black from head to toe with gleaming crimson eyes stepped out, shattering the black cube. The Qi that radiated from the weird being's body gave a disturbing, eerie feel.
Hua Xiran narrowed her eyes. Her hands started to change. A black gunatlet with gold engravings manifested itself. Seeing this, Bai Shuying could not help but think.
Master's spiritual Weapon!
"Attack!"
Mo Xingyu commanded. All the stunned Elders woke from their daze and started to fight each other, sending shock waves through the air.
The black figure lunged at Hua Xiran madly. Hua Xiran's hands brightened due to a golden flame that radiated from her spiritual weapon. She clenched her hand into a fist, twisted her waist, and punched out, her fist meeting the black figure's face, sending him deep into the ground.
Boom!
"Shuying, make sure to find a safe place and treat your wounds."
Hua Qingyan whispered into Bai Shuying's ear, but before she could respond, Bai Shuying felt a moist, soft tap on her cheek, and Hua Qingyan disappeared.
Bai Shuying held her cheek, stunned, but she quickly shook her head and looked around for Hua Qingyan. But failing to find her, she quickly limped toward Ye Fei, who was standing next to the unconscious Xiao Wuji.
Hua Qingyan reappeared in front of Mo Xingyu, who had a smile on her face. Seeing Hua Qingyan, Mo Xingyu laughed.
"Hahahaha, so you found out! How does it feel?"
Hua Qingyan observed her childhood friend; disappointment appeared on her face, and she asked.
"Why?"
Mo Xingyu stopped laughing, her face turned neutral, and she looked at Hua Qingyan.
"Why? In the past, I loved him, but he looked down on me since I used other men for my cultivation, and he chose you in the end."
Hua Qingyan could feel no emotion from Mo Xingyu, as if she were just talking about an insignificant event in her life.
"I was angry. Did I choose such a path? No! So, who was he to look down on me? And you, I hated you. Always flaunting how pure you are, and only loving one partner. But look at what happened now! He slept with me! I purposefully left my Yin energy in him so you would know."
Mo Xingyu said, but this time a morbid smile formed on her face.
Seeing her like this, Hua Qingyan's eyes filled with sadness.
Why did you become like this, Xingyu?
…
During the peak of the Yin-Yang Sect's debauchery.
In the main square, a group of boys and girls was gathered. They excitedly spoke to one another, expectations filled their eyes, and their smiles were bright.
A young girl nervously stood in the group, clutching the sides of her clothes, anxiously looking around.
"Silence!"
An elderly woman with gray hair and a stern expression said loudly, floating down from the sky. She scanned this group of new disciples.
The Yin-Yang Sect, unlike other sects, had many disciples give birth to children, making the need to recruit blood from the outside less frequent.
"You should not scare the children like that, Yang."
An elderly woman with black hair and a gentle expression said softly to the woman named Yang.
"Hmph."
Yang snorted.
While the Luxuria faction was dominant, they still did not dare to have an all-out conflict with the Pure Love faction since external forces had always eyed the Yin-Yang Sect.
"Okay, children, come up one by one to get your spiritual roots tested."
The kind woman kindly said in a gentle voice.
Yang placed a transparent sphere on a podium in front of them, then stood by the side.
"Let's begin, Hua."
The gentle woman named Hua began to test each child. The young girl watched all of this nervously.
"Three-element spiritual root."
"Four-element spiritual root."
"Five-element spiritual root."
Soon, the young girl spotted another pretty girl with silver hair go up to the podium and place her small hand on the transparent sphere. After a moment, it radiated a green and blue glow.
"Two-element spiritual root of wind and water."
"Child, what is your name?"
Hua asked with a smile.
"Q-qingyan."
The silver-haired girl nervously answered.
In the Yin-Yang Sect, due to all the acts of reproduction, it became difficult for the women to tell who was the father of their children, since they went through them like changing clothes. So, none of them possess a last name until their master grants them one.
The mother's focus is on cultivation; they do not pay too much attention to their children, and leave them in the custody of the Yin-Yang Sect; this was mostly a practice done by the Luxuria faction.
Yang looked at Qingyan, but she did not intend to accept her as a disciple.
The Luxuria faction did not accept people based on talent; for them, cultivation was very fast, even if you had mixed spiritual roots. If they like you, they will take you in, and right now, Yang did not like Qingyan.
"Will you become my disciple?"
Hua softly asked.
Hua wanted to take Qingyan in due to her having double spiritual roots. The Pure Love faction focused on strong foundations and those who had talent. Their numbers were few and their resources were limited, but do not underestimate those few; they are very strong.
"Y-yes."
Qingyan quickly accepted.
The young girl in the crowd looked at Qingyan with envy.
I wish I could get a master's like that.
The young girl thought.
Soon, she went to the front, placed her small hand on the sphere, making it light up with three different colors: blue, light brown, and green.
"Three-element spiritual root of water, wood, and wind."
The young girl nervously looked at the two Elders; most of her expectation was in Hua, but Hua did not say anything; instead, Yang spoke.
"Will you become my disciple?"
The young girl was disappointed inside seeing Yang's stern face.
"Y-yes."
But she quickly accepted since Yang was an Elder with a high position. The young girl hoped to be a strong cultivator, but this day would be the biggest regret in her life.
