Chapter 65 - Punishment for arrogant nobles (not in a sexual sense)

 I'm currently being entangled.

I was in the middle of a tournament-style event at school called "Ittenpagunshiki" and was trying to advance through the tournament, but right from the first round I got involved in a strange way.

A rich aristocrat leading his entourage in an attempt to overpower me.

His name seems to be something like Burlish, but it's obvious at a glance that he's too stupid to even remember his name.

"What's with that look?! At Lord Burlish, the son of a marquis?!"

"It is an honor for a commoner like you to even look directly at this man! Kneel! Bow your head!"

"You! You bastard!"

The people around me are making a fuss, but it's none of my business.

"What can I do for you?"

 I asked quietly.

He knows that Bonbon will be his opponent in the first round of the "Ittenpa Gunshiki" match, but it's too obvious that he hasn't come just to say hello or something like "Let's fight each other well."

What on earth was he trying to say by showing up before the match?

"Brrr... hold it in, you guys. It's obvious that foolish commoners can't communicate properly."

Bonbon stands up, supported by those around him.

Did he fall down just from a slap on the cheek?

"I've heard of you, commoner. I hear you did quite well last year?"

"I don't know anything about you. It seems you haven't done anything spectacular."

Although the nobleman's vein instantly flared at the sarcastic retort, he controlled his feelings.

"As the son of a marquis, I don't need to engage in any unnecessary publicity. Just by being here, my reputation will spread naturally. And in your case, it's not your reputation that's spreading, it's your infamy."

"Infamous?"

"Isn't that true? A commoner is being talked about more than an aristocrat. What else can you call that but a bad reputation?"

"You mean commoners shouldn't stand out more than nobles?"

"You finally noticed? Isn't that common sense?"

People who only know a small world mistake the common sense of that small world for common sense all over the world.

"You should be aware that your position is deteriorating at an accelerating rate. In the prestigious Suppan Seminar, where the daughters of nobles join, there is already a growing sentiment for 'punishing the insolent commoners.'"

"I thought the Suppan Seminar was disbanded?"

"It still exists. If we, the nobles, say it still exists, then it must be so."

Do you think everything will go your way?

If only we great people wanted it and had the power.

"You're really in a dangerous situation, you know? The Suppan Seminar is home to many important people, including members of the Duke's family and the Queen's in-laws. They see you as an eyesore. If that's the case, you have no choice but to disappear."

"His Excellency Halbert, the Duke of Flamea's daughter, the next Countess of Vougeot, and Viscount Spear's daughter… all of them are the strongest people, and someone like you would never be able to match them. If you were to win by mistake and advance to the next round, and end up facing them, what do you think would happen?"

Even the people around him talk about it with glee.

 I wonder what will happen?

"There's no doubt that they will not be able to recover. After all, they are undoubtedly the strongest students in the Royal School in terms of ability. In the worst case scenario, their lives may be in danger. For a high-ranking noble, the death of one commoner in an accident will not be a blemish on their career."

"We are giving you this advice out of pity for you. Just lose the first round. That way you won't have to face his scary people and you'll be safe and sound..."

"No, just losing isn't enough."

The guys say with nasty laughs.

"In order to avoid the wrath of the great ones, a more drastic attitude is necessary. An attitude of submission and obedience. You were lucky to face me in the first round of the preliminaries, weren't you?"

"Mr. Barish is also a member of the prestigious Suppan Seminar. We are envious of him, as we cannot even claim his name."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

The people around him say this in a fawning tone.

"In other words, I, a member of the upper nobility, can appease the anger of those even more noble by inflicting thorough punishment on you. I am your savior. By losing to me, you will avoid losing your life."

"Lord Barish is kind, isn't he? If you rely on his mercy, even if you lose, you won't die and you'll have all your limbs intact. But that won't be the case when you're up against the more elite members of the Suppan Seminar!"

 ...in short....

Are you telling me to lose on purpose?

Even if he beat the young master in front of him, he would likely be completely defeated by the stronger members of the Suppapan Seminar who he might face in the future.

Before that happens, you should give in to yourself.

"Is this a request for match fixing? The way you introduced the matter is too roundabout."

"No! I'm giving you mercy! This isn't a fixed match!"

Perhaps because he had been hit right on the mark, the young master suddenly raised his voice.

"Listen! If I were serious, I could crush you with one hand! However, the 'Ittenpa Gunshiki' is a long-term battle that requires winning many matches! You can't just mess around in the first match!"

"Lord Burish will quickly win the first round, and you will avoid the hostility of the upper nobles. It's a good deal that benefits both sides! Why can't you understand something so simple!?"

"You're a commoner, so you must be stupid!?"

The people around him also started yelling.

I've been listening quietly up until now to gauge the other person's intentions, but maybe it's time to stop?

"You might as well cry tears of gratitude at my mercy. That's right, I'd like to receive something in return from you."

"?"

 What?

The young master's eyes distort obscenely.

"I hear you have an older sister, right? She's quite beautiful for a commoner, and as the son of a duke, I command you to hand her over to me. I'll give her to you for a full night of loving, gehyaa!"

The stick I swung struck the little bastard in the side of his face.

As he was blown away, fresh blood spurted from his mouth and his teeth were shattered.

"Ahhhhhh!? It hurts!? My teeth, my teeth!?"

"Lord Burlish?! You... WHAT?!"

"Thanks!?"

"Ohooo?!"

He also beats down his entourage.

It can't be helped since I said something I shouldn't have said.

 Give me your sister?

If you're going after someone I care about, it means you're prepared to be killed by me.

"I'm sure that was just a casual remark to you. But I'll teach you that people can die over it."

"Someone please? Someone come! I'm going to be killed!"

All the damn young master could do was pathetically yell and call for help.

If it turns into a fight, it will surely attract attention from the surrounding area, and teachers will come running when they hear the commotion.

The person who showed up was Teacher Whip. What a coincidence.

"What is this? What is the fuss?"

"You're too slow, teacher! This is an emergency. Hurry up!"

The young master arrogantly speaks to Teacher Whip who rushes to his aid.

"Arrest this commoner! He hit me, the son of a marquis! Restrain him and throw him in jail! Suspend him or expel him! No, hang him!"

They probably thought that the situation would turn around when the teacher arrived.

The little bastard regains his momentum and triumphs.

In response to this, Teacher Whip remained calm as usual...

"Sao-kun, he was your first-round opponent, what's going on?"

"A large group of people showed up and pressured me to fix the match. They told me to lose the match on purpose."

Tell the truth about what happened.

"During the process, he made some insulting remarks towards my sister, so I punished him on the spot. The only way to eliminate any possibility of danger to the family is by force."

"I didn't say that! I never said that! Where's the evidence! Brrrrrr!"

What a stupid brat, trying to make excuses even at this point.

"Gehahahahaha! You commoners should know the difference in status between you and the nobles! In a public setting like this, my claims as a nobleman will prevail no matter what! You have no evidence... No, even if you had evidence, there's no way the words of you, a mere commoner, would be accepted! You're being expelled for violent conduct, gyahahahahaha!!"

"Understood, fourth year Burlish student. You are being held under arrest on suspicion of intimidation and false pretenses."

"Gubbyshh?!"

The little brat is shocked by the suspicions being directed at him.

"Why?! What are you doing wrong, you idiot teacher?! Isn't it you commoner that should be detained?!"

"You underestimated the impact of Suppan's disappearance. Now that he has fallen from grace, it is no longer possible to use your status to cover up your crimes."

Originally, under the policy of Her Majesty Queen Laevateinn, the Royal School did not allow discrimination based on social status whatsoever.

However, certain preferential treatment continued to be given because Suppan, a member of the royal family and a candidate to inherit the throne, used his position to do as he pleased.

It would be one thing if he were just a nobleman, but the nephew of the Queen cannot be neglected.

This is also the reason why the Suppapan Seminar was able to grow to such an extent, but Suppapan has retired from his teaching position and is no longer with us, and the Suppapan Seminar has also been disbanded.

Their backing is no longer there.

"As such, we can finally punish violators in accordance with the Royal Academy's fundamental policy of 'no titles for students.' It's truly embarrassing. I can't believe we haven't been able to do something as simple as this until now."

"Wait, wait, wait! I'm the son of a marquis! I'm a noble!"

They fail to realize that if they yell like that, the other person will back off, and that such a spoiled time is over.

This was the fate of a child who relied too much on his social status and was unable to improve himself.

Even if I just sit here and watch, it's obvious that this damn brat is doomed.

 but....

"Please wait, Instructor Whip."

Here I decided to stop him.

"Even if this guy is trash, I can't say I'm completely blameless for making the first move. If things continue like this, won't both parties in the fight end up being punished?"

"Maybe, but so what?"

 That's also not very desirable.

Now it's okay if people make fun of me and say, "I'm the Queen's favorite, so I won't be punished."

"Can't we just say that both sides were at fault here and pretend the issue never happened?"

"Is that okay, Sao-kun?"

Instructor Whip frowned, while the little brat started making a fuss, thinking he'd gotten what he wanted.

"That's good! Gahahahaha, it seems you've finally realised what you should do, commoner! Respect the nobles and submit to them! That's the correct role of a commoner!"

Go ahead and make some noise, you little idiot.

Little did he know that hell would soon come.

"This guy and I are going to face off in a match. In the first round."

"picture?"

"How about we settle this in the ring?"

First qualifying round, me vs the little shit.

 Fight!

"Gugheeeeeeh!? Help me! I give up! I give up!"

 Unfortunately, surrender is not accepted.

Because I caused some upset before the match, the management agreed to certain conditions.

For this one match only, there was no end to the game by surrender.

The two of us had caused trouble outside the ring, and our intention was to settle this clearly during the match.

The result was a one-sided torture and murder.

That spoiled young nobleman never had the ability to compete with me to begin with.

The stick, swung wildly, hits the young boy in the calf.

"Ahhhhhhh! It's broken! It's broken! My leg is broken! I'm going to die!"

"I didn't hit it hard enough to break it, and even if it did break, it wouldn't kill me."

The only thing that had allowed him to tolerate his selfishness up until now was his noble birth.

Born into a noble family, surrounded by many servants, he thought he could do whatever he wanted.

However, this will not always be the case.

As you grow up, the world gets bigger. There may come a time when your selfishness will no longer be accepted.

It's unfortunate that you met me without realizing that.

The tip of the stick... is thrust towards the solar plexus.

The shot hit the opponent without him even trying to dodge.

"Guhyaaaaaahh?!"

The impact causes vomit to spray from his mouth and he writhes on it.

 But I won't relent.

Those who target my sister need to be severely punished.

"Ouch?! Aghhhhhh?! Gahhhh?!"

They beat them with sticks, kicked them, and tortured them thoroughly.

I don't know what kind of ``calling'' the other person has, but whatever it may be, he was unable to make use of even a small part of it and was simply manipulated by me.

"I surrender! I surrender! I'm done for! I give up! …I've said all that, why don't you accept it, you idiot?"

That damn young master has completely lost his will to fight, but he's not forgiven and can only be hurt by me.

It seemed to symbolize the end of aristocratic dominance at the Royal School.

Just because you're a nobleman doesn't mean you can act big in this school anymore.

To make him realize this, I will thoroughly torture the little bastard.

"Stop it! Stop it already...! I was wrong...! Please forgive me...!"

In the end, the little bastard stopped struggling, curled up like a pill bug, and stopped moving.

He's not dead, but this is what happens to someone who has lost all hope and can only inflict pain.

After making sure that he was completely broken, I kicked the filthy pillbug out of the ring.

The match ended in my victory after taking just a little longer than the others.

I was aware of that as well, but it was a clear declaration of war against the aristocratic chauvinist students who belonged to the old Suppapan Seminar.
