For a moment, as Ning Fengzhi gazed at the certainty in Chen Xin's eyes, he fell silent.
Finally, he took a deep breath, and the shock in his eyes transformed into a flicker of anticipation.
Looking at Chen Xin, he nodded solemnly.
"Since Uncle Sword has such confidence in Dai Chengfeng, then… we'll follow your suggestion!"
"Let Rongrong go to the Spirit Hall Academy in Spirit City!"
Upon hearing this, Chen Xin gave a slight nod and patted Ning Fengzhi's shoulder. "Fengzhi, trust me…"
"Mm!"
Ning Fengzhi nodded firmly. "I naturally trust you, Uncle Sword!"
Just then, Ning Rongrong, who had returned after seeing Dai Chengfeng off, bounced back into the private box with boundless energy.
Her small face still carried traces of lingering excitement.
At this moment, she seemed to notice the heavy atmosphere in the room. Her father, Sword Grandpa, and Bone Grandpa were all silent, their faces reflecting deep thought and resolution.
"Daddy, Grandpa Sword, Grandpa Bone, what's wrong?"
Ning Rongrong blinked her large, curious eyes and leaned closer to Ning Fengzhi. "What were you talking about just now?"
"What do you mean by 'trust Sword Grandpa'? It feels so serious…"
Ning Fengzhi looked at his daughter's innocent and carefree expression, composed himself, and put on a gentle smile. He gently ruffled Ning Rongrong's hair. "It's nothing, Rongrong. We were just discussing some sect matters."
He paused, then casually changed the subject. "By the way, Rongrong."
"What do you think… of Dai Chengfeng?"
"Dai Chengfeng?"
Ning Rongrong's eyes instantly lit up, her earlier confusion vanishing completely. A radiant smile spread across her face, brimming with unreserved admiration. "Him? He's amazing! Super… super amazing!"
She began counting on her fingers, acting like an enthusiastic fangirl. "Daddy, you don't know!"
"He's already so strong at such a young age. Even Sword Grandpa says he has limitless potential!"
"And he's so handsome, with an incredible aura. You can tell he's different from the crowd at a glance!"
"The way he speaks and acts is full of dignity—he's far better than those pretentious nobles!"
Ning Rongrong grew more excited as she spoke. "In the sect and even outside, I've met so many so-called geniuses from various families or young masters of other sects. Humph, they all think they're something special, but compared to Dai Chengfeng? They pale in comparison!"
"They're not even fit to tie his shoes!"
"Dai Chengfeng is undoubtedly the strongest among his peers!"
Seeing the gleam of excitement in his daughter's eyes and her genuine admiration, Ning Fengzhi's last trace of doubt vanished.
A satisfied smile appeared on his face as he nodded meaningfully.
"That's good…"
---
Tian Dou City, Swan Hotel.
Dai Chengfeng walked alone up the stairs, absentmindedly rubbing his chin.
"The Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect… Ning Rongrong… Ning Fengzhi… I owe them another favor."
He muttered quietly, a wry smile tugging at his lips.
"Tsk, debts of gratitude are the hardest to repay."
Dai Chengfeng shook his head. "Oh well, I'll settle it as soon as possible."
Lost in thought, Dai Chengfeng arrived at his room, ready to rest.
However, just as he was about to open the door, the door to Bibi Dong's adjacent room clicked open.
Bibi Dong emerged, dressed in simple yet elegant attire that did little to hide her noble bearing. She seemed to be preparing to leave.
Dai Chengfeng's eyes brightened. He moved closer, wrapping his arms naturally around her slender waist and pulling her entire body into his embrace.
"Teacher," he murmured, lowering his head. His warm breath brushed against her sensitive earlobe, his voice carrying a lazy intimacy. "Where are you going?"
Before his words faded, his lips sought out her tempting red ones, ready to plant a familiar kiss.
However, this time, Bibi Dong reacted entirely differently!
Her body stiffened abruptly. Instead of responding with her usual compliance or playful resistance, she pushed him away forcefully, her hands pressing against his chest. At the same time, she quickly turned her head to avoid his kiss.
"Chengfeng! Stop…"
Bibi Dong's voice was low, filled with unprecedented panic. Her eyes darted nervously toward the closed door behind her.
It was as if she feared some 'monster' lurking beyond it.
Dai Chengfeng paused, looking at his teacher with a puzzled expression. Normally, though she might put up a token struggle, she had never resisted him so strongly—or with such fear?
However, Dai Chengfeng didn't dwell on it too much, assuming it was because they were in the hallway.
Before Bibi Dong could explain, Dai Chengfeng leaned down again.
"You…"
Bibi Dong sighed in exasperation, grabbing his wrist almost forcefully and dragging him toward his own room.
"Come in!"
Dai Chengfeng was momentarily stunned by the sudden turn of events but obediently allowed Bibi Dong to pull him inside.
BANG!
The door slammed shut behind them, and Bibi Dong quickly locked it.
Only then did she seem to release a tremendous burden, exhaling deeply as her tense body relaxed.
Dai Chengfeng watched her visibly relieved demeanor. He approached again, wrapping his arms around her waist once more and lowering his head.
This time, there was no resistance. He successfully captured her soft, red lips, which he so adored.
Bibi Dong finally seemed to let go of her reservations, wrapping her arms around his neck and responding passionately.
After a long while, they parted.
Dai Chengfeng gazed at her slightly flushed cheeks and dewy eyes, gently caressing her moist, red lips with his fingers. He asked softly:
"Teacher, what happened just now? Why were you so nervous?"
Bibi Dong glared at him, annoyed, and swatted away the hand that had somehow sneaked under her skirt and wandered along her thigh.
"Behave yourself!"
She whispered a warning, her tone tinged with embarrassment but also an undeniable seriousness.
"Xue… Qian Renxue is here! She's in my room!"
"Qian Renxue?"
Dai Chengfeng was instantly astonished.
Bibi Dong nodded, then fixed her sharp gaze on him, taking a deep breath. "Listen carefully. In front of her, watch yourself! Tone it down!"
"If she notices anything unusual…"
Bibi Dong's voice dropped even lower, carrying an icy threat. "…you'll bear the consequences!"
With that, Bibi Dong adjusted her clothing, ensuring everything was in place before opening the door. "You go see her first. I'll go downstairs to buy something and will be back soon."
With that, Bibi Dong turned and left the room, heading downstairs alone.
Dai Chengfeng watched after her, a sly smile playing on his lips as he gazed at Bibi Dong's room.
"Little Xue is here…"
