Chapter 5 - chapter 5. king's betrothal revelation and Lyrien's confrontation.

As the king's feelings for Eira grew stronger, whispers of his impending marriage to Princess Sofia of the neighboring kingdom reached the palace. Eira, heartbroken and duty-bound, tried to distance herself, but the king's persistence only intensified.

Meanwhile, Lyrien discovered the truth about the king's betrothal and felt betrayed. He confronted the king, arguing that his pursuit of Eira would not only hurt Princess Sofia but also destabilize the alliance between the kingdoms.

The king, torn between duty and desire, lashed out at Lyrien, questioning his right to interfere in matters of state. Lyrien stood firm, citing his duty to protect Eira and the kingdom's stability.

Lord Ravenswood, sensing the tension, manipulated the situation further, fueling the king's anger toward Lyrien. The confrontation ended with Lyrien's banishment from the palace, leaving Eira vulnerable to the king's advances.

Determined to be with Eira, Lyrien devised a plan to prove his worth and win her back. He set out to uncover Lord Ravenswood's treachery, knowing that exposing the advisor's deceit would clear his own name and perhaps change the king's perspective.

As Lyrien disappeared into the shadows, Eira found herself increasingly isolated. The king's pressure mounted, and Lord Ravenswood's whispers poisoned her mind against Lyrien. Eira's resolve was tested, and she began to doubt Lyrien's true intentions.

With Lyrien gone and the king's demands growing stronger, Eira's fate hung in the balance. Would Lyrien return in time to save her, or would the king's power and influence tear them apart forever?
