But the plan went awry. Ōtsutsuki Isshiki was one of the rare members of the clan who had full mastery over his own power.
In the ensuing battle, Shinigami's avatar was defeated. Although Isshiki lost the majority of his strength...

Fortunately, Kaguya did consume the force-ripened fruit in the end.
