Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: Joseph's God-Creating Plan!

The so-called "parallel universe" was a miniature dimensional space that Joseph opened using the Space Gem, in combination with Oasis' cutting-edge virtual projection technology.

These universes were tethered to the primary world of "Oasis," serving a function akin to a mainframe god space—a place where participants could experience life and death repeatedly. Through such intense trial and error, they could continuously improve in ability, spirit, and intellect.

Ever since the Chitauri invasion, when Joseph secured the Tesseract, the X-Men's training facilities had been fully relocated to this new system.

Participants of the [Trial of the God of Law] had no idea that the Wolverine, Phoenix, and other X-Men they interacted with inside this realm weren't ordinary NPCs.

They were real people.

However, unlike the players, the X-Men's mission wasn't to develop powers.

It was to organize, resist, lead.

Joseph was using these virtual battlefronts to polish their leadership capabilities!

In one such chaotic parallel world where powers ran rampant and society teetered on collapse, a corrupted version of Superman had rallied powerful villains and rogue superhumans under his banner. Opposing him, standing firm as the final beacon of hope for humanity, was none other than Phoenix.

This Omega-level mutant's path had dramatically shifted. Inside this trial world, under the immense pressure Superman exuded, Phoenix pushed herself relentlessly to integrate deeper into the Phoenix Force.

Had this been the real Superman, the trial would be pointless. He could have instantly drawn out the Phoenix Force's full strength, leading to explosive consequences that would wipe out the world entirely.

But this Superman wasn't real.

He was an NPC.

His power levels could be adjusted.

He was the ultimate sparring partner, a growing forge within which Jean Grey—the Phoenix—was slowly being tempered into a true goddess of fire and rebirth. The ever-crumbling environment around her honed not just her power but her resilience.

A Phoenix with true emotional control and mental discipline...

Even Joseph couldn't fathom how powerful she might become.

The same went for Wanda Maximoff—his most promising magic apprentice. She was leagues ahead of other apprentices and had already taken the lead as the chief disciple.

Joseph was determined that she would not follow the original path of emotional collapse and demonic transformation. Not under his watch.

Wonder Woman, of course, knew none of these details.

But she grasped the value of these parallel universes instinctively.

On Paradise Island, Amazon warriors had always borne the burden of divine missions. While Diana hadn't always grasped the full weight of it, she could sense an overwhelming threat on the horizon.

If her sisters could enter these realms for live-combat training...

The benefits for Amazonian military strength would be staggering.

After all, no matter how rigorous their routines, the Amazons hadn't seen true warfare for centuries.

But in these digital battlefields, they could simulate any enemy, any power.

It was revolutionary.

"Joseph, you really are the President of the Second World," came Tony's voice as he appeared beside him, shaking his head. "Even Diana didn't fully state her intentions, yet you managed to make her the star experience officer for Oasis. And now you're pitching it to her people?"

He gave Joseph a strange look.

"That's... outrageous."

"What does that even mean?" Joseph replied with a smirk. "She came to assess the X-Men. Probably wants to see if they can join the Justice League."

"The Justice League? You mean her and Batman?" Tony blinked but wasn't shocked. "I guess Doomsday's arrival rattled them. And with Superman dead, they're desperate for reinforcements."

As Joseph's partner, Tony knew he would never join the League himself.

With Xavier's School and the X-Men under him, Joseph already commanded the most formidable powered organization on Earth.

And his network of magical apprentices only continued to grow.

"Still," Tony continued thoughtfully, "the Amazons have been in hiding for eons. There can't be that many of them. What's the point of getting Diana to bring Oasis to Paradise Island? They probably don't even have currency."

"You misunderstand."

Joseph smiled faintly. "They may not have money in the traditional sense, but that doesn't mean they aren't wealthy..."

Tony looked skeptical.

But Joseph could see through it. It wasn't disbelief in Paradise Island's wealth. It was disbelief that Joseph was doing this for profit at all.

Shaking his head, Joseph clarified: "Opening the Amazon market is just step one. After that, the Amazons can help us break into a much wider realm... Atlantis."

"Atlantis? As in the Atlantis?"

Tony's jaw dropped.

Joseph shrugged casually. "There's more than one kind of human on Earth."

Tony fell silent.

Eventually, he exhaled heavily.

"I'm beginning to believe your predictions more and more. This world's complexity goes way beyond what I imagined."

His gaze darkened. "I saw the fight between Wonder Woman and Doomsday. If even she felt cornered, it means..."

"Stop stressing," Joseph interrupted. "Think about something happier for once. As a major shareholder of Second World, you're about to be rich. How about throwing a massive party?"

"Ugh. A party..."

Tony grimaced. "Ever since I met you and discovered the truth about this world, I haven't had time for anything. I've buried myself in steel suit upgrades. I haven't even gone on a single date with Pepper!"

Joseph feigned innocence. "I didn't stop you."

"I know! But I need to get stronger!" Tony rubbed his temples. "Compared to you freakishly strong people, my armor is slow to evolve. Forget Doomsday—I feel like I couldn't even beat Diana!"

"You're right."

Joseph grinned. "Though didn't you just buy a ton of Vibranium from Princess Shuri? You wear that armor, and you might go toe-to-toe with Hulk and Diana. Isn't that enough?"

"No! Not enough!" Tony snapped. "Shuri has this insane nanotech, and I'm trying to integrate it into my suits."

Joseph raised a brow.

"Nano-suits? Already working on those, huh?"

He patted Tony on the shoulder.

"Tony, you need a break."

"Huh?"

The words made Tony pause. For the first time, he realized how frayed his nerves were.

He had grown increasingly anxious.

Powerless.

He—the genius, the tech prodigy who believed no one could rival his mind—was beginning to doubt himself.

Technology was his only strength, yet so many had appeared recently that exceeded anything he could build.

He had even approached Joseph, requesting magical lessons or, failing that, a magically infused suit.

Joseph refused.

Because he believed Tony didn't need it.

"Take a vacation," Joseph offered. "Oasis is launched. The next phase is expanding off-world. Want to come to Asgard with me?"

Tony blinked. "Asgard? The realm of gods?"

"Earth has gods too."

Joseph's voice grew firm, empowered by a Mind Flay spell that resonated with Tony's soul.

"And our gods will soon eclipse theirs."

Joseph raised his hand.

The dimensional space cracked.

Through the tear, Tony saw visions—

Charles Xavier's eyes blazed with divine purpose.

Magneto floated in shadowed woods, his magnetic blades cleaving alien heads.

Storm, cloaked in lightning, summoned tempests.

Bobby Drake—the Iceman—froze a desert in seconds.

A transformed Hulk rampaged across a savage world.

Wanda chanted incantations, her power growing with each trial.

Phoenix soared back into battle after being knocked down by Superman, her resolve stronger than ever.

Tony trembled.

A deep, booming voice echoed in his soul:

[God of Mind, Charles!]

[God of Magnetism, Magneto!]

[God of Life and Reality, Phoenix!]

[God of Weather, Storm!]

[Ice God, Bobby!]

[God of Magic, Wanda!]

[God of Creatures, Hulk!]

[God of Technology...

Tony Stark!!!]
