chapter one: the first glance
the snow had just begun to fall, soft and steady, as Wendy went into the coffee shop under the tall building's nearby. She shook her coat and scanned the room, cozy warmth of the room.
William was already there, he looked up just as she stepped in, their eyes meeting across the room. Wendy thought to her self," something about him...seems familiar. She couldn't figure him out, but kept it to her self.
"you like poetry?' she asked, trying not to sound breathless.
he smiled, the kind that curled slowly, like butterflies. "Only when it snows".
Wendy laughed, and it was the beginning of everything.
They talked over the poetry aisle until the snow stopped, and when it did, neither of them noticed.
