Chapter 55 - Relocate

" Sen! " A thunderous voice called out. His voice echoed through the enclosed shipment ware house alerting all but the owner of the name.

" Is anyone here called Sen… " he roared again.

Deep in the warehouse a silver fade haired boy mindlessly shifted one crate after another into a waiting cart. He seemed locked in on his work not even glancing to the side even once. A little to the side two grown men stood watching as their new autonomous servant chipped away on the boxes, reducing their load while still getting their pay. One stood one foot onto an empty crate while the other sat on a closed crate, totally ignoring the fragile warning on the box.

" Aaah, we should have gotten an apprentice long ago. " the one seated said.

The other one agreed with a nod, shifting his eyes onto the working kid.

" Yeah, but this own is a little odd. Look at his eyes and hair… silver. I don't like silver. "

" Why is that? "

" I don't know. Its in my gut and I always listen to my gut. "

" Ha! " the seated one laughed.

" You sound like that crazy old official rust… "

" Careful. " the other silenced him.

" He has ears and eyes everywhere. He could get you snuffed and gone just like that. "

" Hmph! I'm not scared of a dying old … " the seated man suddenly stopped after feeling a heavy presence behind him. Its shadow casted its towering and heavy built physic onto the two of them rendering them speechless.

" Sen? " the tower asked.

The smell of freshly picked fruit was heavy on Sen's nose. Their leafy green texture and orchid like smell encased the entire Warehouse making it a completely different atmosphere from the outside. Like an orchid in the middle of a bustling city.

But Sen had gotten used to the smell. He had worked here ever since he woke up and the smell gradually became a norm to him. But still in the back of his mind he had a beckoning question.

" Why did I come back to Laptove. "

" Sen? " he heard a voice call his name.

He turned, crate in hand, towards the voice.

Behind him was a giant figure that overshadowed two of his supposed seniors, who were currently cowering in his shadow.

" Are you Sen? " the figure asked once their eyes locked.

" Sen took a moment to study his towering adversary.

" He must have been sent by the lady. " he concluded.

" Yes, who's asking? " he responded.

The man's gazed lingered. Then he turned walking back the way he came.

" Follow me. " he ordered as he walked away.

" … "

Sen walked towards the carts placing his last crate for the day. He then turned to the to frozen men giving them a final look.

" Thanks for having me. " he said before leaving the two.

Sen and the man had been out of sight for a while. The two men had finally loosened up and got back to work. Sen had hauled most of the crate but they still wanted something to do.

Something to distract them from what had just happened.

" You think he knows her? " the man who was seated asked.

" Possibly. " the other man said before gritting his teeth to lift another crate.

" I bet he's going to tell her. "

" Tell her what? " the other man asked as he walked towards the cart.

" You know… the things we say about her and of how cruel she is. He's bound to tell her… to get back at us for making him do all the work… he could get us fired— my wife won't have me if I'm fired… she won't . "

" Quit your blabbering. "the other man commanded.

" Did you even look at the boy even once. He obviously has something wrong in here," he said, dropping the crate onto the cart. He then pointed onto his temple tapping it repeatedly.

" So quit your mumbles and bring that last crate. Also your wife leaving you was inevitable, just accept it already. "

His voice was just as scary as his face. Both were stern and never shifted from it no matter the situation. One couldn't help but wonder what he would look like if he was smiling. His goliath self and smiling were two polar contrast that worked better if they were separate.

" The lady has assigned you to a different place. Ill be taking you there. " his voice thundered.

" Where to exactly? " Sen asked.

The man gave him a short look before continuing in his pace.

" You'll see soon enough. Now get in. She doesn't like to wait. "

Sen followed the order and entered the open carriage parked outside the warehouse. In a distance he could see the building he had slept in ever since he woke up.

" Guess they finally decided to let me out, huh? " he thought .

" Sir where we going? " Sen asked.

" No questions. Just sit down and stay quiet. " he answered.

Sen did as he was told. The horseman in the front flung his whip. And with that he set the horses into motion.

Laptove's new state never ceased to amaze Sen. The buildings, the polished streets, the towering crystal mounted pillars, none of it was ever in his Laptove's span of likelihood. But here he was ridding a carriage through Laptove, seeing the new noble populous that spanned it.

" We're here. " the man said as the carriage came to a stop.

They got out and walked past across the streets.

There was a pleasant smell in the air. At the corner restaurant stood, its terrace a scatter of white tablecloths and golden lanterns. There were a few servers in crisp uniforms, some wove between tables, trays stacked with dishes while others stood in wait for new customers.

The scene here was familiar. It stretched out leading him two years back.

" I remember now, " Sen thought as they paced towards the restaurant door.

" This is where I first ate with that ale head. " he said as the memory of his soot stained face came to mind.

" This way. " the man commanded.

They entered the restaurant door and made a beeline for the back.

As they walked the memories slowly came back to mind. He could only smile as he walked past the chairs.

In the back a flurry of activities flourished. Here the pleasant smell of what was cooking grew more potent as cooks shifted from one place to the other checking the food and adding more toppings. To the side others systematically washed a mountain of dishes, dipping and rising them as fast and delicate as they could.

Sen and the man didn't stop here. There was another layer to restaurant's back.

It was a door. It wasn't fully closed with some of the light from within escaping from the small space between the door edge and the door frame. Inside there was a voice. It was assertive and firm. Sen could easily guess who it was.

" Milady, he's here. " the man said as they walked into the room.
