Chapter 74 - Second Prophecy

Xavier was falling. Again.

Not from the sky. Not through air.

He was falling into something deeper. A void that stretched on forever. No wind, no direction, no light. Just darkness. And silence that felt loud enough to crush his bones.

He moved his limbs, but he wasn't sure if they even existed. It felt like his entire body had melted into thought, and that thought was drifting endlessly in a sea of black nothingness.

And then, it ended.

A violent pull—like something had grabbed him by the soul and yanked him back.

His eyes snapped open.

He was staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. Smooth, white, and spotless. He blinked slowly. His head was heavy, but the surface beneath him was soft and warm. Expensive sheets. Silk pillows. The scent of something floral and rich hung in the air.
