Chapter 1: An Introduction Is Unnecessary

"Ring, ring~

Ring, ring~"

In a daze, a noisy Alarm Clock rang, as if right next to Lin Sun's ear.

"Hayato, hurry and get up~"

A woman's voice came through.

"Ring, ring~"

The Alarm Clock's sound continued.

Lin Sun, unable to sleep because of the noise, opened his eyes. Blocking the sunlight streaming into the room from outside the Windows with one hand, he lay on the bed looking at the ceiling: "An unfamiliar ceiling. Ah, isn't this line a bit too old?"

Sitting up from the bed, Lin Sun, with a pair of dead fish eyes, looked at his surroundings—a pink cotton quilt that could be described as "cute" covered him, and the "Windows" logo on the Computer screen placed directly opposite the bed, forever bouncing without hitting the corners, floated endlessly.

Reaching out from under the quilt to press off the incessantly ringing Alarm Clock on the Bedside Table, Lin Sun could stake his life that this was absolutely, absolutely, absolutely not his room.

Firstly, when he fell asleep, it should have been 2021. Not to mention that the operating system used by Computers had long since been updated to Win10, and even Win7 was close to being phased out, let alone the classic but truly outdated XP system.

Secondly, he was a man. Although in specific situations like eating strawberry ice cream or watching Kamen Rider, he could accept, and even quite liked, pink (Decade: That's Magenta!), he would absolutely not choose a pink quilt for sleeping. This was too feminine—

Seems okay too? Tilting his head and looking at the quilt, Lin Sun quickly succumbed to its charm.

But to say this was a girl's room, something also seemed a bit off? The densely packed Action Figures and Toy Models filling the large Wardrobe in the corner could perhaps be understood as the room's owner being an otaku who was very passionate about this, but the Posters covering the walls were full of realistic-style Monsters with strange appearances.

Minotaurs holding axes, Knights wielding sharp swords, and Fish-Persons holding long spears could still be seen as character Posters from some popular fantasy works, but—

A deformed green body covered in black triangles, three necks connected to the torso, topped with three mask-like heads;

A dinosaur with chicken feet had a long, discharging horn where its nose should be, but a slit had actually opened up at the back of its head, filled with sharp teeth—clearly another mouth;

There were even strange Posters like the skeleton of a mammoth that looked like it had just been dug up, strange creatures covered in long black fur, and lions wearing cloaks.

Looking at the Posters on the wall, Lin Sun couldn't help but exclaim: "Although I don't know who brought me here, the hobbies of the guy living here are a bit too wild. Look at this? There are even Tentacle Monsters, seriously, seriously."

Just then, the voice Lin Sun had vaguely heard before came again: "Hayato, aren't you up yet? You're going to be late~"

The tightly closed door was opened, and the owner of the voice walked into the room. Lin Sun turned his head to look.

Wearing a light purple Apron tied around her waist and carrying a Bamboo Basket full of clothes in her hand, a beautiful woman with a gentle smile on her face looked at Lin Sun standing in front of the bed: "Oh my, you child, I've been calling you for ages and you didn't make a sound. I thought you were going to oversleep."

"Hayato, are you calling me?" Lin Sun asked, a little uncertainly.

One thing was certain: before today, Lin Sun had never seen the woman in front of him. It wasn't that Lin Sun had absolute memory, capable of remembering even 103,000 erotica novels, but simply because the woman's appearance was truly too outstanding. Terms like 'vermilion lips and rosy cheeks', 'bright eyes and white teeth', 'moth eyebrows and beautiful gaze', etc., seemed as if they were designed specifically for the woman before him. Although her figure looked a bit too flat, with no significant curves front or back, just based on her face and the gentle, jade-like, refined lady-like temperament she exuded, Lin Sun guaranteed that if he had seen her before, he would absolutely never forget her.

"Really, you child, you're so mischievous, are you playing a joke on me?" The woman smiled softly and grabbed the doorknob. "Alright, alright, hurry and change your clothes and come downstairs for breakfast. I won't watch you, I still need to do the laundry."

While closing the door, the woman added: "Hurry up, or I'll eat all the breakfast, hehe~" Saying this, she also playfully winked at Lin Sun before closing the door.

Lin Sun silently lowered his head and looked at his hands.

While talking to the woman just now, Lin Sun noticed something—was the other person a bit too short? But Lin Sun quickly realized it wasn't that the other person was too short, but that he was a bit too tall. His height even exceeded the door frame, roughly a very JoJo-esque 1.95 meters. So, transmigrating could even make you taller, huh?

Another thing was that Lin Sun definitely remembered never seeing the woman, yet the woman knew Lin Sun, even acting quite familiarly as an elder. Lin Sun thought of a possibility—his appearance probably, maybe, hadn't changed much.

Looking down at his hands, Lin Sun confirmed it—Damn, this isn't my body!

Rubbing his slender, long arms, Lin Sun clearly remembered having a scar on his left elbow from a burn, but now that scar was gone without a trace. Even the skin, which was originally slightly rough and covered in fine hair, had become incredibly smooth.

It was almost like a woman's—

Thinking of a terrifying possibility, Lin Sun abruptly pulled open his Pajama Pants, leaned towards the Windows, and looked down using the sunlight. Only then did he let out a long breath—Thank goodness, Lin Sun's little brother was still there and hadn't disappeared because of the poisonous oath Lin Sun had made before.

"So what exactly is going on? Did I transmigrate or something?" Taking a set of clothes from the Wardrobe, Lin Sun took off his Pajamas and Pajama Pants. While thinking, he complained inwardly, "Speaking of which, that huge Wardrobe is stuffed with clothes, but they're all the exact same style. Isn't 'I' a bit too...?"

A Shoulder Bag was placed in front of the Computer Desk, and a blue Jacket was hanging on the computer chair. After thinking for a moment, Lin Sun first put the Computer, which had the Screensaver running, into sleep mode. Then he picked up the Jacket, draped it over his shoulder, and walked out the door, holding the handle of the Shoulder Bag.

As he walked out the door, Lin Sun glanced again at the Posters on the wall that he hadn't finished looking at before. He saw that the appearance of a few of those "Monsters" looked quite familiar, such as a black-robed Spellcaster holding an emerald green Staff, a black Flying Dragon breathing flames, and a white Giant Dragon that looked like the embodiment of light.

Although he wanted to look for more information and clues, considering the woman's earlier instructions, Lin Sun withdrew his gaze without hesitation, closed the door, and went down the Stairs.
