Chapter 850: Incredibly Strong, Overwhelming Power
"Purgatory Unchained Burst Stream of Destruction!"
Under Hayato's command, (Unchained Abomination) raised its hand and gathered an Energy Orb, then, after a brief charge, unleashed it violently, striking towards Jesse Anderson's (Bladefly) on the Field.

"Under such an Attack, your Life Points are like a flickering candle in the wind!" Convinced that victory was already in his grasp, Hayato even got a bit carried away, uttering a line typically reserved for Fodder Monsters.
Undoubtedly, the result of this Attack hitting would only be Jesse Anderson's remaining 600 Life Points being completely wiped out by 1900 points of Battle Damage. However, Jesse Anderson did not choose to Forfeit; instead, he resolutely Activated a Set Card in his Back Row.
"If you Forfeit, the Duel ends prematurely—that's what my teacher told me." Jesse Anderson pressed the button to Activate his Set Card, speaking calmly, "If you, Hayato, had used a Monster with 1400 or more Attack, but also 2300 or less Attack, to Attack my (Dream Cicada - Sleepy Mien) with its lower Attack on My Field, then even if I had used this Card, it would have been useless."
"But I waited for a chance at victory!"
"Trap Card Activate, (Magic Cylinder)!" Jesse Anderson swung his Hand forward, and as his Set Card in the Back Row Activated, two intricately patterned cylinders appeared in front of (Bladefly), their muzzles pointing at the attacking (Unchained Abomination).
"Na-Nani!?"
Hayato's eyes widened. He was no stranger to this Card Jesse Anderson used; after all, no one loved using this Card more than Yugi, who was watching the Duel, "It's (Magic Cylinder)!? When an opponent's Monster declares an Attack, it Targets that Monster, Negates its Attack, and inflicts Damage to the Opponent's Life Points equal to that Monster's Attack!?"
"Under the Effect of (Magic Cylinder), (Unchained Abomination)'s Attack will be Negated, and its Attack will be converted into Effect Damage and returned." Jesse Anderson pointed at (Unchained Abomination) in the sky, "Take this, (Unchained Abomination), (Magic Cylinder) with a 20-centimeter radius!"
Hayato could no longer stop (Unchained Abomination)'s Attack, only watching helplessly as it launched its Attack, only for it to be completely Absorbed by one of the (Magic Cylinder)s blocking (Bladefly)'s front. The other (Magic Cylinder), magically linked, aimed at Hayato, bypassing (Unchained Abomination) and unleashing the Absorbed Attack, reflecting it perfectly!
The Attack that should have ended Jesse Anderson now fell upon Hayato!
"I refuse to accept this!" Amidst Hayato's agitated voice, (Magic Cylinder)'s reflected Attack hit!

Watching Hayato's position obscured by the smoke of the explosion, Jesse Anderson, though confident in his Counterattack, was very unsure if such an Attack could defeat Hayato. He subconsciously muttered to himself, "Did it succeed?"
The smoke quickly dispersed, and Hayato's figure reappeared before Jesse Anderson's eyes. By all accounts, the Effect of (Magic Cylinder) should have successfully taken effect, but Jesse Anderson noticed that Hayato still had Life Points remaining.
"Wait," Suddenly, Jesse Anderson felt something was off. After scanning Hayato's Field, he suddenly realized that the (Grave Squirmer) that had been transferred to Hayato's Field by (Giant Ballgame)'s Effect had mysteriously vanished, "(Grave Squirmer) disappeared?"
"Quick-Play Spell Card, (Mystical Wok). This Card is very useful." Facing a bewildered Jesse Anderson, Hayato Revealed a Card, lightly tapping its side, "Rather than letting your (Grave Squirmer) disappear because the Duel ends, I might as well stir-fry it and eat it. After all, I have a kind heart and can't bear to see other people's Monsters suffer."
"In Chain to (Magic Cylinder)'s Effect, I Activate the Quick-Play Spell Card (Mystical Wok) from my Hand, Release (Grave Squirmer), and absorb its DEF Stats."

"Indeed, Hayato, you're not so easily defeated." Seeing that his final Counterattack failed to defeat Hayato, Jesse Anderson said with regret, "However, at least I survived your (Unchained Abomination), the only Monster on your Field capable of attacking…"

With a wave of his hand, Hayato commanded, "It's a pity, the ultimate victor isn't you, Jesse Anderson, but me, Hayato! By Divine decree, I bring down the final judgment upon you! (Unchained Abomination) performs its second Attack on (Bladefly)!"

(Unchained Abomination) attacked once more, its Power Doubled on top of its already high 3000 Attack. (Bladefly), with only 1100 Attack, was easily Destroyed without any resistance, and the overflowing Battle Damage instantly caused Jesse Anderson's Life Points to become 0!

Even though he lost the Duel, Jesse Anderson, as the loser, had nothing to be happy about. Yet, the moment his Life Points truly became 0, a look of relief appeared on his face.
"Ya☆da☆~ What an interesting Duel." Hayato looked at (Unchained Abomination) returning to his Field and patted its shoulder in encouragement. (Unchained Abomination) seemed to awaken some self-awareness as well, exhaling a sigh of relief as it disappeared, glancing at the unused (Psychic Ectoplasm) in Hayato's Hand.
"Yes, it was indeed a very interesting Duel, thank you very much for your guidance, Hayato." Jesse Anderson said with a smile, but still felt a bit regretful, "It seems I've disappointed my teacher; I didn't pass Pegasus's test. It's truly too difficult to defeat Hayato, at least for the current me and my Cards, it's too far-fetched."
