Sylvia sat on the sofa with her legs crossed, her eyes darting back and forth between Orrun and Nolan.
Nolan cleared his throat.
"Ahem! Tower Master, don't get the wrong idea. It's not what you think."
Orrun quickly added, "That's right! We weren't doing anything inappropriate!"
"Then what was that all about? You gave Sage Orrun a ring, didn't you?"
Sylvia narrowed her eyes.
Nolan shrugged and leaned back comfortably on the sofa behind him.
"That was a misunderstanding. I just wanted to take the ring because it's an important artifact. Isn't that right, old man?"
"Right! That's exactly what happened! Don't get the wrong idea!" Orrun said seriously.
"Hmmm…"
Sylvia fell into deep thought. She knew Orrun well. Although he had been single for a thousand years, he was still a normal man.
She had once found an erotic book about beautiful dwarf women hidden inside one of his cabinets.
"I understand."
