Chapter 25 - The Codex Rewritten

The battle ignited the heavens.

Takeshi stood at the peak, the Codex glowing like a star in his hand. Therzal unleashed a storm of void, tearing the sky into ribbons. Mountains crumbled in the distance. Reality screamed, the land buckling beneath the god's wrath.

The Codex opened of its own accord.

[Unstable Rewrite Sequence Initiated]

Takeshi fell to his knees as visions surged through him—endless possibilities of failure, countless worlds where he'd died, where his harem perished, where the Broken World was devoured.

Therzal advanced, his form no longer definable—every step rewrote gravity itself. Takeshi's breath caught. His own body began flickering in and out of sync.

But hands pulled him back.

Elira. Fyria. Selene.

"I choose this world," Takeshi whispered, writing in blood now. "I write us into the future."

The Codex roared.

A golden light erupted, shaped like wings and chains and fire. Niraxis, Varron, and Ashkaris appeared in full form, standing between Therzal and the others.

"We lend more than power," Niraxis intoned. "We lend our name."

The Codex transformed, growing jagged and vast, etched in divine script.

[Divine Authority Claimed: Tamer of Ends]

Takeshi rose, eyes aglow with ancient will. "Therzal… it's over."

With one command, he struck the Codex against the earth. Chains of light burst forth, binding Therzal, ripping his essence apart, and rewriting it into something else—something new.

The sky calmed.

Therzal's form shattered into stardust.

The world exhaled.

Back at the valley, under the glow of a reborn moon, the group rested. Takeshi sat surrounded by his companions—Elira laughing beside him, Fyria playfully sparring with Selene, all of them vibrant in the firelight.

He smiled.

Not because the world was saved.

But because he had found one worth saving—with them.

The Codex fluttered open one last time that night:
