Life goes on. It should. Just like how morning comes after night. Just like how the sun shines after rain. But not everyone moves forward after a tragedy.
Edward's plan succeeded, I must say. But I didn't follow what he wanted. I didn't accept the money he gave me. I left on my own. I made sure I left no trace, so no one would find me. Ever.
I sighed when I felt something in my chest. Hollow, painful.
The love I let go still haunts me in my dream. The feelings I tried to bury still lingers in my chest. I may have survived the tragedy of my social life, but I was never a survivor of love. Because even then, until now, my feelings never changed.
Three years had passed. I was living a simple life in a small town. A peaceful life, but I couldn't say that I'm happy and content.
My life will never be complete again. Not without my family. Not without him.
"Kai, the boss wants to see you." The CEO's secretary said when she saw me at my table.
