Large numbers of newly freed resurrected beings had gathered in clusters, trading news and seeking any scrap of understanding about the world they had returned to.
"Hey, brother! I heard you only just died recently—can you explain what's going on in this world now?"
"Yeah, seriously! Why has everything changed so much? It doesn't feel real to us at all!"
The young human who had perished only three days ago turned to them with a helpless, equally bewildered expression.
Even for him, the world now felt strangely unfamiliar.
He glanced around Winterhold Castle, his eyes widening in disbelief.
"Wait a second… when did Winterhold Castle become this luxurious?"
In his memory, the castle was nothing but a barren ruin, a forgotten stronghold in the northern wilderness.
But now, the towering walls gleamed with polished stone, banners fluttered proudly in the cold wind, and enchanted lanterns bathed the castle in golden light.
