Chapter 15 - Địa ngục : The new hope

But it was strange—his leg was covered in blood, his foot was bleeding, and on his back was a little girl.

"Robert, what happened there?" Kal demanded, holding his bleeding hand.

Robert looked at him and said with a faint smile,

"Nothing, man… I mean, Kal. Just the ground and walls were covered in blood, a thick layer that made it look like my legs and hands were bleeding."

Hearing that, Kal took a deep breath.

Liza stepped forward, arms crossed.

"Who is she, Robert?" she inquired.

"She… she is—" Robert glanced at the girl. "What's your name, little one?" he asked gently, rubbing her head.

The little girl with bright scarlet eyes stared at him.

"My… my name is Eva, Eva Marcy," she declared.

Kal sat on his knees, holding her shoulder, comforting her.

"Why were you there, inside that place?" Kal inquired.

"And she was inside a cabinet—or sorry, locked in a cabinet," Robert declared as his focus changed toward a bright yellow flower.

"Wow!!!" he exclaimed.

"Leave him, just tell me why you were inside that cabinet," Kal asked while comforting her as well as he could.

"I… I… I was there because my uncle Charles told me to stay there, to protect me from each of the dangers I have to face."

She started crying as she said so.

Hearing that, Kal's face turned serious.

"How long were you there?"

The girl rubbed her eyes. "For… five days. I was locked out. I could hear almost every scream of people, and it was all hi… his… terrifying," she declared.

After those words spilled out, there was absolute deathly silence.

Suddenly—

"Guys!" Robert shouted, crushing the yellow flower that was growing on the rotten flesh of a corpse.

"Let's go in search of his family!"

Hearing that, Liza's face fell.

"No, are you an idiot? Look at this place—this is pure hell! Could you imagine a single organism to be alive?" she declared while pointing her finger toward the destroyed building.

"No, Liza, he is correct, as Eva's alive—our living evidence. But we should check this place as we are out of resources," Kal explained.

"OK, do whatever you two want," she declared.

"They are really good. Even if they found one, he would be half dead," she thought to herself as she looked at the kid's (Eva's) eyes.

"Her eyes… they resemble her, huh," Liza sighed to herself.

Suddenly—

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" monstrous laughter echoed with a high pitch.

"So, you are the survivors of this village, Kailans. Master Arunakreon ordered u all to surrender, Eva Marcy to him or else face consequences, worse than before, " it declared

Hearing that, Robert's face turned serious.

"More Narka… even more to kill!" Robert declared.

Robert jumped on the bushes. He landed, but as his fist caught on fire,

"Ho… fire," he said. "Now, I am the one with firepower. Yeahhh!" he exclaimed.

"Idiot! They are Sun Demons, and of the two hundred races of demons, don't touch their body—you would catch on fire! Their sun-shaped head is their weak point!"

Hearing that, Robert turned and saw a 3–5 foot 5-foot-tall creature, having a shining, pale yellow body. The sun-shaped head was made up of a crystal-like substance.

"Shit, how could I touch that thing, disgusting thing, MAN!" Robert shouted as he punched it. Its face shattered into pieces.

"It was fun, but not that much," he said as he saw a group of 20–30 Sun Demons rushing toward them.

"Man, listen, you all Narka! Tell your boss, Arunakreon, or whatever he is, that I will kick his ass, because I wanna fight a strong opponent!" He shouted.

As these words flowed from his mouth, the force of Narka started shivering in fear.

"What you said, why does he challenge him? He can hear from our ears and can see anything from our—" a Narka said, as Robert crushed its head, slamming it on the ground.

"I don't care who or what he is, I'll decide," Robert declared.

"Arunakreon … he has returned. Why does he leave me alone?" Liza whispered to herself in terror.

Just after that

Her eyes were filled with horror and disbelief.

"Kal, look at him!" she shouted.

Kal turned and saw that Robert's armour was turning blood-red. He wasn't just defeating demons—he was tearing them apart.

Robert grabbed a demon's hand and tore it out, then twisted the other demon's mouth. The worst part was, he was doing all this while his hands were engulfed in fire.

Seeing this horrifying scene, Eva started shivering.

Kal gripped her tightly, blocking her vision.

"Man, I'm having a lot of fun in this world," Robert declared.

Liza was erupting in anger after seeing Eva's traumatized face.

"It's too much, you son of a—!" Liza declared.

She clenched her fist and dashed toward Robert.

He turned and saw a crimson-red aura blazing from her strike for a fraction of a second—then it landed on his face.

She followed with another strike.

Then, twisting her body midair, she slammed her leg into his abdomen, launching him away and crashing him into a tree.

"It wasn't a normal punch. It was so harsh that I couldn't handle it," Neutral muttered.

"I'm just an idea."

The scene shifted into a dark void.

The boy (Neutral) lay on the ground, unconscious.

Slowly, he opened his eyes.

"Huh? Where am I?" He looked around.

"No man here again? The fun was just starting! I'm gonna beat the crap out of her!" he yelled as loud as he could.

Suddenly—

A burst of wind swept through, cracking the wall.

"Silence," Negative said.

Hearing that, the boy turned his head toward him and saw—

His sword was pointed toward him. It was a huge, black, double-sided blade with a pointed tip.

He swung it to his right.

"Look over there!"

Hearing those words, he turned his face toward the screen and saw—

Liza was devouring the sundemons, tearing them apart.

"Man, she just took the charge!" he murmured. "But… is she the same girl that I destroyed? She was way weaker when we were fighting. Does that mean she was holding back?" he yelled.

"It was just a beautiful day when I realized that my contract was just a scam, where I lost everything I gained," Neutral murmured. "Just after, I was introduced to the girl's past."

Three hours later

"So, hic… it was her past, so horrible. I just did one wrong thing to take the craep out of her."

The boy sobbed as he regretted his past actions.

Suddenly—

A wave of energy was felt by him from behind.

Every single hair on his body rose; it was an aura of pure rage.

As he turned, he saw it—

A Negatine, covered by a huge cloud of purple aura.

"What happened to you, man?" he stammered.

The Negatine stepped forward.

"It's time for justice of life," he snapped. "I will destroy that evil."

"What do you mean by that? Don't you think I control the body? Don't forget that I hold the contract!" he cried.

The Negatine turned toward him with a dead stare.

"I don't care about the contract," he declared.

As his words finished, he stepped onto the wall.

"I can't even imagine what happened there… I can define it as nothing but horrible. Every single thing I saw… he gained control, fought with unbroken madness. All I can say is—if it happens again, he'll break the contract and control the body. I just want to stop him. I just don't want to be left alone again."

Neutral murmured as he opened his eyes, leaving his long world of memory.

As he opened, he saw that he was not in the black void but in the real world.

"Hmm, so he didn't take control," he whispered in shock, as he saw that Kal's leg was on Krahnyte's face, pushing him away.

"A Neutral… I knew that you still lived. Robert would not handle this, and I don't believe in Negatives. But you're the only one I can trust. Just protect Robert, I beg you."
