Chapter 3 - New beginnings

He was led to the carriage, when he got inside he saw a young looking woman. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She had a smile alluring smile on her thin pink lips.

Note, appraisal is being used on host, appraisal blocked appraisal? He could see the notification but he did not understand anything happening here.

He wanted to ask the lady infront of him about it but chose against it, he did not know nor trust her. Since she looked like the leader of the people who enslaved him he had even less reason to trust her.

Neither spoke for a few seconds, they looked each other dead in the eye. Although this person was much higher than him in status currently he strangely did not feel fear.

To be honest he did not feel fear before he met Tracy, he did not feel a lot of things before he met her. The lady giggled a little, covering her mouth with her sleeve.

Her every action screamed elegance. You are an interesting fella aren't you,she said it as if it was a statement rather than a question.

May I ask why you called me here? Truly interesting, there are not many people who can still talk to me like that in the empire, have you no fear? She asked with a playful voice.

He didn't answer. Well no matter, from this day forth you will be my personal servant. Slave you mean? Slave? No no no, you too interesting to be slave.

Do you expect me to take your word for it? Some people would find that offensive you know, doubting their integrity I mean, especially if that person is of the 7 heroes of humanity.

The seven heroes? As soon as he said he regretted it, something like that would probably be common knowledge, not knowing it would give somethings away.

You don't know about the seven heroes? I haven't exactly had much experience with civilization. Even so, that knowledge is too common for anybody to not know about it.

Have you been living a cave? Something like that,he replied. Well that fine then, I suppose you don't know much about the empire then. You can say that.

No matter, you will learn all about it when we get home. Home? Your home? It will be home too now. What if I don't want it to be? Then you can live but I assure you, you will not last.

What makes you say that? I'm a very resourceful person. It not about resource, you are simply too weak to survive in this world, a lot of things can kill you quite easily.

They got a large city which he learnt was not a city at all but her estate, this is where her servants lived. There were many of them, although they still wore simple clothing they did not look like slaves.

He was taken to the large white mansion at the centre of the estate. Welcome to my home, she said walking infront with her long frilly white dress, she looked like a princess.

She called a maid. Get him cleaned and bring him to my chambers. She turned and walked upstairs. Follow me sir, the maid led him towards a large bathtub.

It was adorned in gold and diamonds, it looked more like a pool than a bathtub. He turned and looked at her, she nodded slightly and went out and closed the door behind her.

He walked around the bathroom checking every corner for a camera or something like that. He dipped his finger on the water and pulled it out fast.

His finger was fine, he waited for a while to see if something will happen. Nothing changed. He breathed a sigh of relief and took off his clothes.

He jumped into the bathtub and his body relaxed slightly, he was still vigilant incase something happens. After he was done he changed into the clothes the maid left for him.

They looked similar to the butlers attire but less elegant. He went out and she was waiting for him outside. Please follow me, she said with a small bow.

He followed her upstairs, she led him to a room, inside was the blonde noble lady. Sit, she said as the maid left and closed the door. I didn't get a chance to ask your name, forgive me for that, she said with a small smile.

Can I ask what your name is? Clark, he replied. Clark? That an uncommon name but a pretty one. Nice to meet you Clark, she said while sipping her tea.

He watched with vigilance even though he knew there was not really much he could do here, the fact that she was in the room alone with him means she was confident.

May I ask why I'm really here? Cause I find you interesting, u thoughts I already made that clear. Why me though? Well everybody else treat me with too much respect, it boring.

You the only person I can have a conversation with and expect an honest answer. That it? No hidden agenda or something? You really have trust issues don't you?

He did not answer. Well they will show you to your room now, the maid came back in, please follow me, she said. He followed her down the passage, it was a long passage with paintings adorning the side walls.

On them were paintings of knight in armour battling large beasts the size of mountains, six armed people that stood at dozens of metres with horns and sharp claws.

It showed a woman flying in the sky blasting the monsters with rainbow coloured rays of light and unicorns shattering mountains with a single kick.

It was a bit dramatic if he said so himself. How can a human simply fly like that, it was illogical. Sure he had seen strange creature but he had not seen any magic yet.

A horse with a horn is highly possible in the evolutionary scale, so are people with animal ears, none of those truly defy logic but a horse shattering mountains with a kick and humans flying without wings or machines are a bit too much not to mention mountain sized creatures, they would be crushed by their own weight.
