Chapter 16 - Chapter 15: World Saint

As Leo is flung back Arthur, Seth and the recovered Alex launch forward attacking the beast again.

" You bastard !!! " Seth shouts and runs forward but this time the beast disappears completely ignoring Seth and appears in front of Arthur.

" Shit"

The blow is devastating but Arthur stabs his blade into the ground stopping him from flying back. " Be careful, it's faster and stronger"

" We noticed" Alex shouts back and all of them go in once again.

******************************

Far away leo lands on a broken tree , a groan escaping his mouth with a trail of blood.

" Damm that hurt"

He looks at his fractured arm and sighs but his brows raise as the black energy from the beast starts spreading on his arm.

" What the hell is that?"

Suddenly a burst of energy from his chest pulses and covers the wounds burning away the black energy.

" Humm" another sigh escapes from him but the feeling stays, different from world energy, different from the purple flames yet not foreign to him.

As he trys to concentrate on the energy a presence passes by him and he smiles faintly . " So you finally arrived.... Kevin"

**********************

A few moments before Leo is sent flying at another battle Sandra and the others stand back to back while fending off the Nobel beasts, all of them on their last legs yet non waver and continue to fight while the other students watch them with a mix of shock, fear and fake claims of confidence.

Suddenly a large burst of energy is felt and a streak of crimson lighten flashes past them and all the beasts heads fall off .

" What was that?" A student asked

" Was that a teacher?" Another says .

Alec turns to the direction which the flash went which is also where Arthur, Seth, Leo and Alex are fighting the Primordial beast .

" Whoever that was... It was a world saint".

******************************

At the main battle field Arthur deaftly avoids a strike from the beast then Seth appears from behind aiming a kick at the beasts legs but like the times before the beast disappears and reappears a couple meters back.

This time though Alex slams his body into the beast pushing it back but it regains balance immediately and from its open palm multiple black balls rush towards them like bullets .

Quickly they move out of the way but the beast appears by Arthur again sending a powerful kick his way.

" Do I actually have to use this power because of a mere Primordial like you!" Arthur shouts and meets the beast head on.

As fist and leg clash the result is unexpected as the beast's leg is flung back then Arthur strikes back. A devestaing kick hits the beast sending back.

Arthur's heavy breathing calms and now few golden dragon like scales appears on his arms and neck and a golden and blue aura surrounds him.' I can't keep this from for long ' Arthur says to himself.

" Don't worry Arthur. I have your back" Seth says in an unusually calm voice. A gray and purple aura surrounds Seth and storm clouds start forming above them.

" I got you too" Alex says, his form now a humanoid looking wolf like beast with white fur and bulging muscles.

The beast looks at the three defiant boys and the black jewel on its head glows again releasing a corroding energy.

As they all charge towards each other a crimson streak flashes past them and collids with the Primordial beast.

For the first time the beast is sent flying, black blood pouring from its mouth.

The streak turns into a human with red flowing hair. " Sorry I'm late guys "

" It's ok Kevin, now let's end this"

The fight resumes, four students versus one Primordial beast.

******************************

Back in the forest Leo is sitting on the ground trying to concentrate on the mysterious energy.

' I have to be quick and go help them. I just got to this world and I can't loose any of my friends '

Suddenly his consciousness is transferred into an empty void of pure nothingness .

" What is this?"

A blinding light flashes and an old man wearing pure white robes appears a few meters away.

His face is calm yet unfathomable power radiates from his body making the darkness move back as if in fear of his presence.

" Who are you?" Leo asks guardedly

" The question is who are you?" The man asks back in a calm voice.

" You aren't meant to be here transmigrator"

Leo is immediately on edge but doesn't move.

" Don't worry boy . You being here is destiny, and even I can't stop it . ..

But I need to know Leo will you betray Aether?"

Leo thinks for a while the determination flashes in his eyes" I will protect my friends and family even if the world is against me"

The man gives a small smile" That's satisfactory for now. Now go save your friends "

As suddenly as he enters his mind is sent back to his body and now energy is overflowing from him in a blue aura with purple flames burning brightly .

Leo stands up moving around his body with a smile on his face

" I can feel it, my cultivation has progressed" his eyes become cold as he turns to where the others are fighting. " I'm coming guys "

******************************

Loud clangs echo as four students clash with a savage Primordial, suddenly all of them feel a new presence coming at a fast speed.

At that moment Leo bursts through the forest slamming his fist in the chest of the Primordial blasting it several meters back.

Not wasting this opportunity Arthur, Seth,Alex and Kevin charge in attacking the beast with everything they have.

After two hours since it's arrival the Primordial beast falls and stops breathing after the bombardment of five first year students who all collaps from exhaustion.

" We did it "

News Spreads Fast

Back at the academy, word of the fight spread like wildfire.

Dozens of students—those who had witnessed the clash from afar or caught glimpses of Leo's purple fire—couldn't stop whispering in hushed tones across the dorms and class halls.

"Did you see that thing he did with his arm?"

"He glowed—like really glowed."

"That beast was Primordial tier. And they killed it. Together."

"He's not normal… None of them are."

The professors, too, took notice. Whispers reached even the inner circles of the school council. Master Ren, watching from the tower balcony, said nothing. His fingers twitched subtly, and a faint smile traced his lips.

" Their awakening."

---

Inside the Infirmary

Later that evening, Leo lay in the infirmary bed, shirt off, bandages covering his torso and arms. The room smelled faintly of herbs and burn salve. Moonlight slipped in through the half-closed windows.

He wasn't alone.

Arthur sat nearby, odachi leaning against the wall, his arms also bandaged

"You were reckless," Arthur said after a long silence.

"I know," Leo replied, shifting to sit up straighter. "But it worked."

Arthur sighed, then leaned forward. "To think you and Kevin would break through to the world saint rank... good job Leo "

Leo looked at his hand, recalling the moment—the way the flame obeyed, twisted around his thoughts, even the way the world felt like it bent for him.

Arthur's expression turned serious. " Don't get cocky Leo I would still beat your arse"

Both burst into laughs and the door opens

Seth barged in with a grin, Veronica right behind him, holding a giant fruit they had picked from the upper levels of the forest.

"Victory feast!" Seth announced, tossing the fruit to Leo.

Veronica laughed. "Don't drop it, hero."

Leo caught it and raised a brow. "What is this?"

"No idea," Seth shrugged. "But if it doesn't kill us, it might taste decent."

Another round of laughter as more of the group join them.

---

Later that night, while most of the group headed back to their dorms, Leo stayed behind near the academy gardens. The stars were out, and the forest breeze was cool on his skin.

Sandra approached quietly, sitting beside him on the edge of the fountain.

"You should be resting," she said gently.

"Couldn't sleep," Leo admitted. "Too many thoughts."

"About the fight?" she asked.

"Yeah. And other things "

Sandra hesitated. Then she reached out and placed her hand over his.

"You're not alone."

Leo looked at her. Their faces were close—moonlight bathing her silver-blue eyes in a soft glow.

"I know," he whispered.

For a moment, neither moved. Their hands stayed together, warmth building between them.

---

From the rooftops above the courtyard, a tall figure in dark robes stood silently. A faint mark glowed at his neck—the symbol of the Chaos.

He watched Leo and Sandra walk back inside.

His eyes narrowed.

"So the flames have awakened," he muttered, voice like crackling frost. "Master will love to hear this ."

Behind him, another silhouette stepped forward—a woman with long hair and a smile too calm.

"Should we inform him?" she asked.

The man shook his head. "No. Not yet. Let the little stars shine brighter before we eclipse them."

With that, the two faded into the shadows.
