Chapter 7 - Pilot ~ Part 7

Bellamy spoke up immediately. "I got a better idea." He said. "You two go, find it for us, let the privileged do the hard work for a change." He stated. Octavia looked at her brother for a moment and nodded in agreement, "yeah." She said in agreement with what he'd said, and she wasn't the only one. "You're not listening, we all need to go." Wells continued speaking over the others.

The kid who had stopped Wells from picking on the kid in goggles pushed Wells from behind with a smirk. "Look at this, everybody...the Chancellor of Earth." He mocked with a sadistic grin. Wells nodded, the anger building up in him quickly, he'd had enough of people calling him out because his father was the Chancellor on the Ark. "Think that's funny?" He asked to the kid, ignoring the laughs that came from the group behind them, the loudest laughs being Bellamy's and Octavia's.

The kid launched forward and slightly pushed Wells, hooking his leg behind him causing Wells to drop to the floor quickly. "Wells!" Clarke called out and tried to make her way forward though was immediately stopped by the group that had been traveling with the kid. Wells grimaced some, how back hurting as he looked up at the kid in the black jacket slowly making circles around him. "Yeah, come on, get him." A voice came from the crowd, clearly on this kids side. "No, but that was." The bully said, satisfied seeing Wells on the floor. "All right." The kid said as he watched Wells get back up, he stood in a better stance, his tongue darting out for a moment to wet his lips.

Clarke looked on in worry, her eyes never leaving Wells as she watched him limping, standing in front off the kid and facing off to him though it was clear that he could barely put his weight down on his foot. Wells somewhat threw his arms up in a defensive position, ready to fight if he had to. "What you gonna do now, Wells?" The man chided. He threw a fake punch towards Wells knowing he had the upper hand and smirked to himself seeing Wells slightly flinch back. "Come on, Come on." He invited Wells, motioning him forwards, clearly knowing whatever happened Wells wasn't going to win this fight.

The kid stopped though, the smug face instantly leaving him seeing Finn in front of him, placing himself between him and Wells, though the most off putting part was the fact that Finn had jumped off a part off the Drop Ship with a spin and landed between them. The kid's eyes looked up to the drop Ship for a moment before he turned back to glance at Finn. "Kid's got one leg." Finn said seriously, not breaking his gaze on the kid in front of him who was called John Murphy. "How about you wait until it's a fair fight?" He stated blankly, calmer than anyone else there.

Murphy stared at Finn for a moment, his jaw clenching at him and the silence between the two of them and the group almost becoming uncomfortable before Octavia spoke up and walked towards the boys. "Hey, Spacewalker, Rescue me next." She said, clearly flirting with Finn who turned around and gave Octavia a grin, a few chuckles coming from the group at the interaction.

Murphy turned and walked off, not happy with not getting to beat up the Chancellor's kid but he knew there was always another chance. He clapped his hand onto his mate's arm as he walked away letting the others know to follow him and to leave it for now. With the situation calmed down, Clarke moved forward ready to actually do something to help the group.

Octavia smirked some watching as Finn turned away and walked off, a knowing sparkle in her eyes as she checked him out. She heard a rustle from beside her and looked over to see Bellamy there with a disapproving look on his face. "What? He's cute." She said with a shrug. Bellamy raised his eyebrows some and looked to the side before looking back at his sister. "He's a criminal." He stated back. Octavia looked at him and leaned forward slightly, her mouth slightly held open. "They're all criminals." She pointed out, a small smile forming on her face.

Bellamy clenched his jaw and he grabbed his sisters arm dragging her off the the side slightly. "Look, O. I came down here to protect you." He said using his nickname for her. Octavia frowned a bit and pulled her arm away from his grip roughly making them stop walking and Bellamy turn to face her quickly. "I don't need protecting." She argued back. "I have been locked up one way or another all my life. I am done following orders." She said sternly, making Bellamy's head drop slightly. "I need to have fun, Bell." She said a little softer to him. "I need to just do something crazy just because I can, and no one, including you, is gonna stop me." She said while tugging on his jacket slightly.

"I can't stay with them, O." Bellamy said shaking his head. "Now what are you talking about?" Octavia said with a sigh and a little frustrated sigh. Bellamy hesitated some and he looked behind him for a moment before he grabbed his sisters hand and began pulling her off to the side again away from the others. "I did something, okay, to get on the Drop Ship..." He started explaining, stopping for a moment and letting go of Octavia to face her. "Something that they will kill me for when they come down." He explained to his sister.

Octavia's face dropped when she realised that he was being serious. "I can't say what it is just yet, but you have to trust me." Bellamy said, his voice slightly breathy with panic and worry. Octavia just looked at him with a mixture of confusion and concern, not sure if this was what she expected from her brother. "You do still trust me, don't you?" Bellamy asked her, hope in his voice that she would. Octavia's mind was slightly blank but she nodded some to Bellamy. "Yeah." She said honestly to him making her older brother faintly smile gratefully.
