Alexa arrived at her home as she came back from the Ark, she slowly open the door to front yard as her Amber eyes looked towards the window, it's been a while since she got some rest as she saw pebbles laid across the pathway and on the grass as she sighed softly and unlocked the door as she came inside. There wasn't a lot of changes, the furniture seems to be mostly the same expect for the flowers hung on the wall. There was the usual clean state of the house, with two of the plushies being on the large wooden cupboard that her family has recently brought. The smell of sweet baking came from the kitchen, Alexa assumed that her mother was making cupcakes or another treat as Alexa went to the bathroom. She came out afterwards as she heard her mother calling "Harold! Come downstairs!" She saw him running down before going into the kitchen as she followed behind.
There was her mother, Mrs Lilian. She was warm hearted towards others although is strict towards her loved ones. Harold, her brother who was rebellious and loud sat down as there was tension in the air. Alexa soon went inside of the kitchen and washed her hands as she grabbed a cupcake and sat down eating it quietly. Mrs Lilian began speaking "Harold, I heard of your recent behaviour as of late. You are 16, you need to stop this ruckus." Alexa looked as she sighed. Often, this sort of conversation led to arguments as Harold soon said "Well, you don't understand me!" His voice was raising slightly as Mrs Lilian said "Harold, stop yelling at me and listen to me for a moment. You been worrying me lately and I'm starting to become concerned."
"There's nothing wrong with me, I just have issues in school!" Harold was starting to get mad until Alexa held his shoulder before saying "Let's stop this for a moment, okay?" Harold looked like he was about to talk back before sighing and sitting back down. Mrs Lilian soon said "You two should prepare yourselves, we got guests coming over." Harold perked up while Alexa was quiet. Harold forgetting the conversation just for a moment as he asked "So who we got coming over?" Mrs Lilian grabbed out the letter and opened it. "Well I got a couple of friends and a fairly well known painter coming over, so you two better behave. Harold, I'll talk to you a bit later." They watched her leave the kitchen presumably going to her room to change into formal clothing. Alexa soon looked outside seeing it start to rain again "Seriously? Again? It's been twice this week."
"You can never predict what UK weather would do." He teased her before she smacked his arm. "I got mail to collect outside, just at the right time." She grabbed her coat and left, going toward the royal mail box which was on the other side of the road. The usually grey road had been dampened by the drops of water to look charcoal grey with a hint of white going through the roads, she adjusted her coat to give her warmth as she unlocked the mailbox and grabbed the mail which looked to be from one of her friends as she walked back into her house as she removed her shoes as she came inside. She put her jacket on a hanger as she came back inside of the living room and washed her hands under the sink.
She saw her brother reading a menu book about different types of breakfasts from different cultures as he noticed her "Hey, what did you get?" He questioned her as she turned her letter around seeing a couple of stickers and some bits of glitter. She looked at the name on the back 'To Alexa by Elion.' She recognised her as one of her oldest childhood friends apart from Joshua and Kilin. Elion was known to have a sort of bubbly like personality and is considerate of her friends, although a little naive and clumsy. Alexa soon finished reading her letter "Ah, I'm surprised Elion keeps in contact with me. But I got a 20 euro note from her." Harold looked a little amused as he said "Ah Elion? Haven't heard about her in a while."
She heard the doorbell ringing as she opened it up. It was Kilin, a tall boy with olive eyes wearing a leather jacket with a skull symbol and as usual seemed to be wearing a rather thick belt that was dyed to be a blue colour "Oh Kilin! Haven't seen you in a bit. How things going on?" Kilin noticed the scars on her hands before his smile faded away a bit "Are you okay?" Alexa looked away for a moment, her mind conflicted on telling him or not but ultimately told him the truth "There has been a fight going on lately and I'm involved in it. And well in the process I ended up getting hurt." Alexa said as Kilin hugged her before letting go while telling her "I'm sorry that I haven't come lately, I got a lot on my plate such as moving houses." Alexa looked interested as she asked him "You are moving houses?" Kilin nodded at her.
Soon Harold got up before saying "Wait a damn minute, you got into a fight!? Alright tell me who did this and I will beat them up-" Alexa covered her brother's mouth as she silenced him before letting go "Not so quick." Harold soon glanced at Kilin while looking confused "It's you again. Are you seriously moving houses?" Kilin soon answered back to his question "Yep. I'm moving quite far away but still in the city. Although can I stay here for a bit? It's raining outside." Alexa gave a wide smile before saying "Sure, come this way." Harold was a little hesitant but eventually agreed as they went inside. After Kilin washed his hands and came out of the kitchen, they saw Mrs Lilian come in as she noticed the new boy. "Ah Kilin. It's been a while since you came to our house." Mrs Lilian was wearing a elegant red dress which small dark red spots on them. Her black hair was tied firmly as she wore little to no makeup covering her wrinkled face. Mrs Lilian heard the doorbell before saying "That must be the guests."
She opened the door as she said "Come in, Mrs Macdilin and Mr Macdilin. Greetings Dean." As she welcomed the guests, she turned to her kids and Kilin "Mind if you three help? I been busy so I couldn't take out the food. Luckily, they should be still hot and I prepared the cutlery, so you won't have much trouble." They all discussed it as Kilin nodded. They left as they entered the area as Alexa grabbed the roasted duck and with cooking gloves put it in the large plate as she brought it to the main table. Kilin grabbed the plate which had quite expensive salmon and put it on the table. They soon set everything up as they came back "We are done!" Mrs Lilian nodded with her usual neutral expression as the guests were chatting about wages, relationships and their kids as Mrs Lilian noticed the doorbell ringing.
"Ah this might be her." Mrs Lilian opened the door seeing the painter that came which was Alya. She seemed to wearing semi-formal clothes with a white shirt and a skirt that had some glitter, her blonde hair with brown stripes was behind her ears while her golden ear piercings hunged just below her chin. Her smile was seen across her light tan skin as Mr Macdilin said "Ay, Alya! It's nice to see you after a long time." As they shook hands Mr Macdilin was a black man around 33 years old, he wore black jeans, his grey blazer hanging around his shoulders while his blue tie was tied to his collar. They greeted each other as they went to the kitchen. As they prepared themselves and wash their hands, the kids went upstairs to grab some things then come back downstairs.
