Chapter 9 - The Revelation

"Fist"! Did you see this too, by any chance?"

This was the movie that Jo Won-ho, who had been racking his brain for a long time, pulled out as a card of repentance, thinking, "I really can't figure this out!"

'Fist'.

It was a noir film released in the early 2000s.

Since all that was shown were movies he had seen over and over again, Han Do-jae, who had been sitting relaxed, flinched.

"That...."

Han Do-jae, who had been thinking for a moment, shook his head.

"No, I just heard about it."

Jo Won-ho finally breathed a sigh of relief after finding a movie that his disciple had not seen.

"Then let's try this method with that piece."

"What method?"

"First of all, don't watch that movie. I'll give you the script, so read it first."

Scenario?

Han Do-jae nodded his head, his eyes sparkling with anticipation that some new practice method would emerge.

"Then practice alone. Keep practicing until you think you're perfect. Keep practicing alone. Don't watch the movie. Then watch the movie. How did the actor act? How did he express himself differently from you? That's a good way to compare."

As expected, it was a fresh study method that I had never thought of.

I was already worried compared to before the regression when it was easy to get a scenario, but I didn't know that I would be able to get a scenario from Jo Won-ho like this.

Han Do-jae nodded enthusiastically, thinking that it was a really good choice to ask Jo Won-ho for private lessons.

"Yes. I will try that."

"Every movie contains life. It will be a good study."

"Yes!"

The answer was Han Do-jae, who responded well.

Jo Won-ho stared at Han Do-jae's face intently and opened his mouth as if he couldn't bear it anymore.

There were also limits to understanding through tone.

"But you...."

"Yes?"

Jo Won-ho stared at Han Do-jae's face for a moment without saying anything.

It wasn't because he was curious about his face or anything like that.

"Do something about your hair."

"Ah...."

"A guy who wants to learn acting has such a look in his eyes that he can't see anything."

Han Do-jae touched his head at Jo Won-ho's comment.

"If I take a good look at your expression, I might be able to teach you something more."

"Yes. I was planning to cut it today anyway."

"Okay. Then let's go get lunch."

Jo Won-ho stood up as if he felt relieved after hearing Han Do-jae's words.

But Han Do-jae just sat there quietly.

"What? Aren't you hungry yet?"

"Teacher."

While sitting on the floor, Han Do-jae called out to Jo Won-ho seriously.

"My legs still can't move."

I thought I should rest a little more and then go.

A new Monday.

The practice room is noisy with children chatting, wondering if they had a good rest over the weekend.

Today, I received a notice telling me to gather in the lab because the first period is one of the practical classes, 'Extreme Theory'.

Everyone just threw their bags into the classroom and chatted in the practice room.

"Hey, does it make sense to suddenly get married there?"

"Are you kidding me? If I were Winter, we wouldn't have met for 200 days."

As expected, the kids were talking a lot about the movies they saw together over the weekend.

"That's why I said I have to come to the dorm on Sunday night."

"That's right. I almost died this morning from dragging my carrier and throwing it in the trash."

"Engrave it majestically in your heart."

Among them was Woo Ji-ho's grumbling about not returning to school the night before and trying to return eagerly on Monday morning.

The kids were giving advice to Woo Ji-ho, who was out of his mind from running since morning.

I hate coming up to the dorm on Sunday nights, but I guess it's better that way.

At that moment, someone opened the door to the practice room, came in, and sat down next to Woo Ji-ho naturally.

"That's why. You can just stay at school like me."

It was a limit.

All the children except Han Do-jae blinked and looked at Han Do-jae.

The noisy classroom suddenly became quiet.

"Who...?"

Woo Ji-ho looked at the stranger who spoke to him so naturally with trembling eyes and asked.

At those words, all the children rushed in.

"Wow. He's so handsome. Who is he?"

"Are you a transfer student? You weren't there last week."

"Ah, daebak.... Your beauty is truly graceful."

The rest of the kids were all amazed by Han Do-jae's appearance.

But no one had the slightest idea that his true identity was Han Do-jae.

"Who are you?"

'I knew this kind of reaction would come out.'

Han Do-jae went to school wearing contact lenses after getting his hair cut.

On his handsome forehead, which was hidden by his flowing bangs,

Large, cool, slanted eyes hidden behind thick glasses.

A straight nose extending downwards.

For lips that draw a natural curve without being too thin or thick,

As I get older, my skin becomes smooth and flawless.

It was a near-perfect appearance, as if someone had put a lot of effort into making it.

At Han Do-jae's words, Woo Ji-ho's gaze slowly moved down to the name tag on his chest.

Did I see something wrong? Woo Ji-ho rubbed his eyes and looked at the name tag again.

"Han... Han Do-jae?!"

The classroom became noisy again as Woo Ji-ho let out a single word that sounded like a scream.

"What? Han Do-jae?!"

"Huh? Did I see something wrong?"

The kids gasped and opened their mouths in disbelief.

'This is a bigger reaction than when I first debuted.'

It was so absurd that I couldn't help but laugh.

There were a lot of good-looking kids, probably because everyone was working hard to dress up as a student at Yeonyoung University.

And yet, such an explosive reaction.

"Yes, you're Han Do-jae!?"

Woo Ji-ho didn't stop there but jumped up.

'Oh. Look at that voice.'

This reaction was a little burdensome.

That's why I came in as quietly as possible, but I ended up getting more attention because of Woo Ji-ho's reaction.

The kids sitting next to Woo Ji-ho also stared at Han Do-jae's face and each said something.

"You, Han Do-jae... are you?"

"Hey, you're saying that you become a different person just by cutting your hair and taking off your glasses?"

"What kind of surprise is this? Where the hell did Han Do-jae go?"

The kids looked like they couldn't believe it.

"Lee Shin-ah. Have you seen Han Do-jae?"

There were always people gathered around the talented Kang I-shin.

Female students who were entranced by Kang I-shin's handsome appearance and male students who flocked to see the connections of his powerful parents.

The kids who had gathered around Kang-i-shin, who was sitting as usual, glanced at Han Do-jae, who had cut his hair and appeared.

The appearance of Han Do-jae, who had cut his hair and changed 180 degrees, was enough to make the female students' eyes roll around busily.

Is it Kang Shin with his cold and handsome style or Han Do Jae with his soft and gorgeous lines?

Questions that no one had asked were already on the minds of some students.

Kang Ishin also turned his head to the reactions of the children around him.

"...That's cool."

"Yeah, that's right. It's kind of cool... Huh?! What did Isin-ah say?"

The person who had spoken to Kang-i-shin turned around in surprise at his unexpected reaction.

However, Kang Ishin had already turned his gaze elsewhere.

"Hey, hey, he's a completely different person."

"Even if you try to do that, it's okay."

Im Hyuk blurted out the words but glanced at Han Do-jae's profile.

The main character of all these gazes, Han Do-jae himself, had a calm expression on his face.

'You can't avoid it once.'

It was a reaction that had been experienced countless times in the entertainment industry.

Even though she's only 17, her looks are still there.

This level of reaction was something that Han Do-jae had expected to some extent.

It was a bit more intense than I expected.

"Hey, hey. Sit down."

With a calm tone of voice, he reached out and sat down Woo Ji-ho, who was half-asleep when a disaster struck next to him.

"It's true... It's true."

Woo Ji-ho sat down slowly with a shocked expression on his face and shook his head from side to side.

Then he brought his face close to Han Do-jae's and asked him.

"You... is this your nose...?"

Woo Ji-ho immediately pressed down on Han Do-jae's tall nose.

It was pressed well.

"Yours."

Woo Ji-ho learned for the first time today that people become calm when they are too surprised.

"...That's ridiculous."

Yoon Se-ri, who was sitting in front of Woo Ji-ho, turned around and muttered to Han Do-jae.

"What kind of nonsense is this?"

What's there to be embarrassed about when you're thirty and a seventeen-year-old girl?

Although they hadn't exchanged a single word, Han Do-jae responded lightly.

Yoon Se-ri shook her head and turned it forward again.

The lab is in chaos due to changes in the limit.

At that moment, the door opened and Han Gyu-seong, the playwright, came in, staggering.

"Let's take our seats, kids."

Only when Han Gyu-seong appeared did the children leave Han Do-jae's side and sit down.

At that moment, the back door opened and a student came in, panting.

"Who is it?"

"This is Shin Tae-ho. I'm sorry. I had to go to the bathroom...."

"Okay, sit down, sit down."

Shin Tae-ho, who came in with his hair dyed red, sat in the corner of the classroom entrance, far from Han Do-jae.

For someone who had been to the infirmary, his complexion looked good.

Shin Tae-ho, who always had a mischievous smile on his face, was the only student in the same class who had a proper conversation with Yoon Se-ri.

"Should I call attendance?"

Han Gyu-seong opened the attendance sheet with a kind face and called the children's names one by one.

"You are strong."

"Yes."

Han Gyu-seong, who had been calling attendance continuously, raised his head while adjusting his glasses and calling the last name.

"Limit."

"Yes, sir."

Han Gyu-seong tilted his head instead of covering the attendance sheet.

"Limit?"

"Yes, sir."

Han Gyu-seong opened the attendance book again and kept comparing it with the ID photo and Han Do-jae's actual appearance.

At that sight, the children began to murmur again.

"This guy is Han Do-jae!"

At Woo Ji-ho's shout, Han Gyu-seong nodded with a bewildered expression.

"Hey. You should have cut your hair a long time ago. Your face looks really pale."

Han Gyu-seong, who went through extremes such as flying and climbing before entering the Sky Preliminary.

Of course, Han Gyu-seong also saw many good-looking people while working.

But there is a limit.

It was the first time in a long time that I had seen such a complete face.

Even kids who are known as hot and famous in school often end up looking like country bumpkins before their debut.

"Thank you."

Han Do-jae simply nodded his head slightly and answered.

Han Gyu-seong shook his head, still looking surprised, and laughed.

Han Gyu-seong, who had belatedly covered the attendance book, began class by clapping his hands.

"Okay, is play theory the first class?"

Extreme theory.

Last Monday was the opening ceremony, so today, the second week, was the first class.

Han Gyu-seong looked around at the students, placing his hands on either end of the desk.

"Yes."

"What I will teach you is simple. It is literally about 'play'. What constitutes a play, and what you need to practice to do a good play. That is what you will learn."

Pole.

Although it is a comprehensive concept, the word play most often brings to mind a play.

And Han Gyu-seong also said that he plans to learn about stage plays, such as plays.

It was a class with different content from acting theory, which teaches about acting itself.

"The most important thing in a play. What is that?"

Han Gyu-seong conducted the class gently with his characteristic low-pitched voice.

A nice voice that might have made me fall asleep before the regression.

However, Han Do-jae focused on Han Gyu-seong's voice.

As if I wouldn't miss a single word he said.

"Listening is the key. Whether it's the other person's language or the language in your heart, you need to be able to listen on stage."

Han Do-jae nodded as if to say that it was absolutely correct.

Then, my eyes met with Han Gyu-seong's.

Han Gyu-seong raised and lowered his eyebrows slightly and continued with the class as if nothing had happened.

"You probably don't know yet why listening is important. So today's lesson will teach you why listening is important and how listening can be used as training for acting."

"Yes-"

"First of all, the most important thing for listening well is personal practice."

The children tilted their heads at the words they did not understand.

Most students thought that they needed someone to listen.

Han Gyu-seong said as if he knew that would happen after seeing the children's reactions.

"There must have been kids who were told not to practice individually at school or the academy."

"Yes. My teacher at that academy told me not to practice alone. I thought I would develop strange habits."

"If you don't want to believe me, feel free to do so, but it's all nonsense."

The kids giggled in agreement at Han Gyu-seong's firm words that came out right away.

"Ad-lib, improvisation. Of course, talent is important. It's true that you can't ignore innate talent. But."

Han Gyu-seong said, glancing at the children.

"Those people always practice. The saying that you can see what you know is not without reason. I have to be prepared to listen to what the other person is saying."

Improvisation.

It literally means improvisational acting.

Simply responding quickly is a priority, but it is also acting that is only possible if you listen to the other person's lines.

What most new actors overlook is the listening attitude in improvisation.

"That's all for today's theory. An actor is an actor. It's a job that literally requires movement. Let's all try it out ourselves."

Han Gyu-seong pushed the desk at the front of the practice room to the corner.

The children's eyes sparkled at the word 'practical training'.

Han Do-jae also straightened his back and stretched his head from side to side to prepare for the first practical lesson of the play.

You must have cut your hair and put in contact lenses.

Thinking that the other actor would look better.
