Chapter 2 – The Secret of the Reincarnated Mangaka

— And now that you've given up on being a hunter... what are you going to do?

Jin Ha-Joon lowered his gaze, thoughtful.

"She's right... Now that I've stopped being a hunter, how am I supposed to pay the bills?"

He let out a dry, bitter sigh.

"When others reincarnate or time travel, they get Sharingan, cheat systems, powerful bloodlines... But when it's my turn? All I get are bills and anxiety."

He chuckled with irony.

— You don't know? Then why not think about what you're good at — besides being a hunter? — Jin-Ah suggested, flashing him a cheerful smile. — While you think, I'll go grab us something to drink.

She left the room, gently closing the door behind her.

"What I'm good at..." he repeated in his mind, staring at the ceiling.

But only one thing came to mind: anime and manga. Series he watched obsessively in his previous life.

Then he froze.

"Wait... something's off."

He dug through his memories. Every moment of his old life came back in absurd, vivid detail — sharper than they had ever been.

Even the mangas he had read... he could recall every panel, every line, every expression.

— How is this possible...? — he whispered to himself.

"Maybe... it happened when our souls fused into one."

— It's like my brain turned into a computer — everything from my past life saved in folders I can access at will.

He closed his eyes, overwhelmed by the realization. Then, with a bitter smile, he muttered:

— With this kind of memory, I almost look like a genius. But no offensive power, no skills to protect myself... Just a walking library. What a waste.

He let out a dry laugh.

— Still... better than nothing, I guess.

Just then, the door creaked open. Jin-Ah returned, holding a bottle of juice in one hand.

— Here. Got you one too. — she said with a warm smile, handing it over.

— Thanks. — he said, taking a sip.

As he drank, memories flooded his mind — scenes of his happiest moments watching anime back in his old world.

"That's it... I can recreate those mangas here."

"With my photographic memory... I can recreate them perfectly."

His eyes lit up with a spark of inspiration.

— Jin-Ah... I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to become a mangaka.

— A mangaka? Like, drawing? — she blinked, surprised. — Wait, do you even know how to draw?

— I do. — he nodded confidently. "Or at least... I remember how to." — But I need a favor.

— Sure. What is it?

— In my bag, there's a credit card. Could you use it to buy a few things for me?

— Hm? Like what?

— Drawing tools. Pens, markers, special paper... a desk, if possible. I want to start as soon as I can.

Jin-Ah stared at him for a second, then laughed.

— Seriously? You just got out of the hospital and already want to become an artist?

— Yeah. — he smiled, eyes shining with determination.

— Alright, Mr. Mangaka. I'll get you whatever I can with your card. But if I disappear from spending too much, it's on you!

— Fair enough. — he grinned.

Jin-Ah turned to leave.

— Well then, I'm off. You get some rest, okay? See you tomorrow. — she said as she walked out, closing the door behind her.

Left alone in the quiet room, Jin Ha-Joon leaned back into the pillow and closed his eyes.

"If I can't be a hunter in this world... then I'll leave my mark in another way."

"Through these stories... these worlds..."

"Even if I die someday, I'll leave something behind. I won't vanish as some nameless side character."

A small, confident smile formed on his lips.

— I'll make sure of that.
