Chapter 5 - The Return of Prodigy

After returning from the ashram, Aryan was surprised to learn that his family's financial condition had significantly improved. It was unexpected—but he wasn't entirely caught off guard.

Moments later, while reminiscing about his last meeting with his family, Aryan recalled Kiara's words at the Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. He turned to Rohit and replied calmly.

Aryan: "This isn't surprising, Rohit. I already know what's been happening with you over the past two months."

Rohit (confused): "What do you mean by that?"

In truth, Aryan's family had once struggled to fit inside a single room. But now, each member had their own private space. Life had changed rapidly.

Later that day, Aryan finished his meal and entered deep meditation. Within hours, word spread across town that Aryan had finally returned home after two months of isolation.

On the eve of his return, a group of teenagers discreetly followed a boy toward Aryan's house. After checking the surroundings, they carefully slipped inside. A sudden sneeze broke the silence.

Boy (whispers): "Keep quiet."

Girl (apologetically): "Sorry… Kaju."

Kajol: "It's fine. Just follow me silently."

The girl was Sanjana. And the boy leading the group—Kajol—carried the aura of a natural leader.

The group tiptoed toward a specific room. As they approached, they noticed the door was slightly ajar. Quietly, they stepped in—only to find a young man, around their age, seated cross-legged on the floor, deep in meditation.

Before anyone could utter a word, the meditator spoke in a calm but resonant voice.

Aryan (without opening his eyes): "Thank you for coming, my friends."

The group froze. It was Aryan. And he had sensed their presence even before their arrival.

Despite entering in complete silence—with the help of Rohit and Aryan's mother—the group was stunned by Aryan's heightened awareness. His eyes remained shut, but his aura seemed to ripple through the room like a wave.

Finally, Aryan opened his eyes, and a tangible energy filled the space. Everyone felt it.

Aryan: "I've known you were here since the moment you stepped inside."

Aryan (smiling): "Don't be alarmed. Come, sit down."

The group sat in awe. Then, a charming voice cut through the silence.

Beautiful Girl (pouting playfully): "Aryan, you ruined our surprise!"

Aryan (grinning): "What surprise, Tutu?"

(Tutu, the girl, was Aryan's best friend—her bond with him deeper than words.)

Kajol: "Alright then, should we begin?"

Indeed, the group—Kajol, Sanjana, Tutu, Akash, Samarpan, Kiran, Lucky, Neelanjana, Suraj, and Noor Alam—had come to celebrate Aryan's birthday.

They lit up the room with joy, decorating the space and placing a cake at the center table. In the presence of Aryan's family, he cut the cake as everyone cheered. Laughter and celebration followed.

Toward the end of the evening, Kajol leaned in.

Kajol : "Aryan, did you check your phone?"

Being his closest friend, Kajol was naturally concerned and always in the loop.

Aryan (calmly): "No, it's not important right now."

Kajol (smiling): "Well, yes and no. A lot of our friends from college tried to reach you today to wish you. You know—people from Silchar, Salganga, and Dholu. They couldn't be here in person. Some of our local friends have also been traveling. Even Noor has a flight to catch tonight, but your return was too important to miss."

Aryan: "I see."

Kajol: "And... the results of our 12th Board Exams will be released next week."

Aryan (nodding): "Hmm..."

Eventually, everyone bid farewell. Noor headed directly to the airport. Aryan, meanwhile, cleaned his room, replied to all the messages he had received, and managed everything swiftly—his pace unusually fast, his mind incredibly clear. He thought about practicing his techniques, but the room lacked space, so he returned to meditation.

At 9 PM, Aryan joined his mother at the dining table. She looked at him seriously.

Aryan's Mother: "Aryan, tomorrow morning you're going to Silchar. You need to meet our relatives, collect the family documents, and assist with a few property-related transactions."

What Aryan didn't fully realize yet was that his maternal family had noble roots—descendants of landlords from Shrikona, a region near Silchar. During his absence, an international amusement park conglomerate had contacted his mother's side of the family.

This corporation had resolved longstanding land disputes, compelling illegal occupants to vacate the land and even compensating the family. But they weren't interested in acquiring everything. Instead, they offered the family a chance to manage a portion of the park or collaborate in shaping the future of Shrikona. In honor of Aryan's late grandfather, Hare Krishna Saha Roy, they helped the family establish a real estate venture bearing his name.

The family members included:

Wife: Sabitri Saha

Son: Arjun Saha Roy

Daughters: Bharati Roy, Arati Roy, Alpana Roy, Baishakhi Roy

Grandchildren:

Bharati's daughter: Bhavna Roy (Manu)

Arati's sons: Rohit Paul and Aryan Paul

Alpana's daughter: Anuja Roy (Koina)

Baishakhi's son: Udhipan Bhattacharjee (Remo)

As per the grandfather's will, "all the properties are to be divided equally among his wife, son, four daughters, and their children."

But one question still lingered...

Why had an international conglomerate taken such deep interest in Aryan's maternal family estate?

Why did Aryan's grandmother specifically summon him to Silchar?

Was something more waiting for Aryan—something... dangerous?
