Warning: Gore. Death.
Dongming lay in a wide basin where the Guan River, Baishui River, and Songji River intersected. It was said that nearly one-third of the annual rainfall in the entire Sichuan Prefecture pooled into Dongming, where the swift current of the Guan River swept together the waters of all three rivers before guiding them through the Longmen Mountains and eventually out toward the Sea.
Every autumn, the mountains surrounding the Dongming Basin shifted from a lush summer green to a muted orange-brown as they braced for winter.
Towards the north of the city was more vivid display of reds and purples and the southern part of Dongming known for a different natural phenomenon: thick, dense seas of fog. In the early morning, mist pooled at the junction of the three rivers, gradually immersing the entire basin in an opaque, pure-white cloud.
These only made it a picturesque place to relax and take pictures. One out of every ten people wanted to vacation in Dongming.
