I enchanted another boulder on the slope to burst forth and pushed the next group of monsters off the cliff.
As the goblins, wolves, and ogres plunged to the bottom of the mountain range, my party and I rushed ahead, nearer to the dam.

The second group we encountered after the valleyed road had stretched themselves along the path that I could not push them off in one single landslide. Unless I wanted to tear the path down with them.
Another approach was needed.
While we charged toward the monster, I waved my hands and started casting my spell.
Winds swirled around me as I ran.
My comrades sensed my casting and they parted to the sides to allow a clear aim for me.
I raised my hands toward the charging enemies at the other side and chanted the spell.

Intense gale darted off from my palms and stormed through the monsters' ranks all the way to their rear.
The three ogres at the furthest back were just standing at the edge of a sharp turn.
I used the forceful wind to push the giants off the path and let them tumbled through the steep slopes of the mountain range.
Their huge roars were cut short as soon as we heard echoing thuds at the bottom of the cliff.
There were about a dozen left goblin riders scattered throughout the road.
Darius immediately took aim toward the foremost four of the goblin riders which were stretched almost in a perfect line.
He let his arrow loose.
Swoosh!
The arrow pierced the heads of all four goblins in a single trajectory.
The rider-less wolves started to scramble toward us. But Darius permanently immobilized them seconds after.
Jonah and Shanny charged ahead with Trudy following closely behind them.
The shepherd drew his exploding spear and launched it toward the remaining eight coming at us.
Boom!
Three riders were obliterated along with their wolves. Two pairs fell off the cliff. Leaving three pairs with serious burn injuries.
A blinding dust screen formed around the goblins due to the explosion.
Shanny raised her blade and leaped to the air.
Slash!
She emerged through the cloud dust, catching two riders off guard, and beheaded them in one single swing of her sword.
Trudy rushed from the side and pierced her sword to a wolf's head and pushed the blade through till the sharp metal skewered the other one at its flank.
The final one charged toward my comrade to offer one last stand.
But an arrow flew through the dust screen and punctured the rider's throat.
Jonah burst forth half a second later and pierced his spear through the last wolf's maw.

We wasted no time to stop and continued running toward the dam.
There were no ogres surrounding the wooden bridge, but the goblins were definitely aplenty.

Fifty on each side of the bridge and thirty standing guard on the bridge itself.
The goblins in each group were huddled closely together given the small space around the dam.
I could easily wipe them out with my spells. But I would risk destroying the bridge and we would have no way across.
I needed to rely on my comrades for this battle.
"We'll use our strategy on the seventh floor! Break through the enemies! Darius, Jonah, refrain from using the explosives until we have crossed over!"
"Understood!"
They all replied in unison.
Darius retrieved five arrows from the quiver on his back and rapidly launched them toward the goblins on the nearer side of the bridge.
Thanks to his enchanted arrows, 18 of them were killed in the barrage.
Shanny led the charge against the horde of goblins waiting for us.
Tremendous aura suddenly burst out from her pores.

"Graahh!"
With a cry of inhumane grunt, Shanny stormed through the monsters' formation and wreaked havoc.
Given Shanny's erratic movement, however, the goblins managed to land a few grazes on her body.

But with every wound Shanny took, she inflicted thrice worse to her foes.
Skulls shattered by her shield, throats torn by her blade, limbs snapped by her heels, jaws crushed by her fists.
Carnage unleashed against the monsters.
Dozens of them fell in a flash.
With Shanny attracting the goblins' attention, it was easy for Jonah and Trudy to swoop in and strike the rest of the goblins off guard.
I noticed some of the green creatures on the bridge were beginning to make their way toward our side.
[Shield]
Preventing enemy reinforcements from pouring in, I erected a translucent barrier at the mouth of the bridge.
They clashed their weapons and fists against the barrier but the translucent wall remained standing without a crack.

I kept the shield in place as my comrades were eradicating the goblins on this side.
While maintaining my spell, I noticed four goblins standing at the edge of the cliff, waiting for an opening to attack Trudy who was already engaged with two monsters.
I raised my lowered other hand to them and casted another spell.
[Mana Shockwave]
A ball of light formed out of thin air in front of the four goblins and blasted them away to the bottom of the ravine.
Darius finally struck the final goblin on this side of the bridge.
It was time to move on.
I lowered the shield on the bridge's mouth and my comrades started running toward it.
The monsters there were still huddled together on the tight space the bridge provided.
I did not let the opportunity go to waste.

A colorless powerful ripple burst from the middle of the goblins.
The bridge rattled for a moment as almost twenty goblins were thrown off the sides and plunged to their deaths.
Left with precisely a dozen foes, my comrades stormed the bridge and struck the monsters standing in their way.
They did not stop until they crossed to the other side.
Having went over the bridge, Darius and Jonah reached for their explosive projectiles.
Boom!
Fiery blast wrecked the last fifty goblins on the other side of the bridge. Killing more than twenty of them.
But the monsters were still numerous and they quickly horded together and charged toward my comrades.
My teammates pushed on anyway, undeterred.

Although they were taking minor blows from the goblins, Jonah, Shanny, and Trudy fiercely battled the monsters.
Slashing and piercing their weapons through the midst of the enemies until they were drenched in the monsters' dark blood.
Darius had pulled out his dagger and held it with his drawing hand.
While keeping the dagger in his grip to anticipate close-range combat, Darius shifted his fingers and pulled an arrow from his quiver to be sent to faraway foes.
Eventually, the last goblin screeched out its final cry at the edge of Shanny's sword.
The intense aura around her diminished in an instant.

I observed the monster corpses scattered around the bridge.
Nothing was moving except for my party and the rushing water fountaining out of the dam's spill gate.
We had secured the place.
We were now halfway to our goal.
